My Xperia L started to do weird stuff about a month ago. Suddenly all apps would crash (unfortunately.. has stopped working). I have to pull out the battery to fix it and sometimes it wont start (bootloop or stuck on sony logo). I did hard reset, flashed stock ftf but nothing works. Sometimes it does this when it is under load and sometimes completely random. I bought a phone with a cracked screen after i bricked mine and it had a battery drain problem. After taking it to a local reapir shop they've managed to fix it but they told me they had to resolder something because of water damage. Is it possible this problem to be the result of water damage also?
I have a galaxy s7 Exynox which is not tampered with or rooted or anything. It is still in perfect intact condition. The better usually takes 14 hours to go down to ~65% after which I recharge at home.
Today I decided to reboot the phone for the second time only since the Android 7 OTA update which I think was over a month ago.
The phone was stuck for 5 minutes at the Samsung logo.
I pressed the power button + volume down for like 30 seconds before the phone powered off.
I waited 20 minutes and then powered it on again.
Now it is overheating. I never let the battery ever go under 60% and the phone never fell or hit anything.
Is there any way I can know what is happening and why it is overheating without resorting to rooting or anything like that?
The phone was bought from a Samsung dealership while on a trip in another country.
There are no Samsung care centers where I live.
Just to be clear, it booted again. But it is charging slower than usual and overheating.
Hi All,
My phone was absolutely fine prior to the install of EMUI 10, now ever since it boot loops a few times a day (more noticeably when its lower on battery but it's even happened seconds into using it in the morning).
I haven't downloaded any new apps since EMUI 9 and those I did I uninstalled to see if it made a difference, nope.
Had the phone since launch back in March 2018, any recommendations or is it a case of sending it to a service centre to have a look?
I've factory reset, restarted the phone, left it off overnight numerous times and nothing has solved it
V10 reboot
Hello,
I have the same issue, reboot 2 to 10 times by day!
Do you find a solution ?
Thx
+1
I have the same issue...my phone also reboots every now and then..i think that my system UI is crashing.
Anyone able to overcome this issue? Mine used to reboot several times a day too. Though sometimes, it worked absolutely fine for days. It has started to lag terribly after the EMUI 10 update. Of late it justs conks off, and doesn't turn back on no matter what I try. Have to leave it to itself for several hours, even a day or two and it comes back to life on it's own. Scary. The phone just dies. Called Huawei/Honor customer care, and they advised me to downgrade using HiSuite, which is obviously not possible anymore since it was disabled from EMUI 10.
Hello, I have the same problem, has anyone solved it? What can I do to get rid of this problem? Please help me.
I had the same problem on September 2020. I updated the security patch and the day after the phone rebooted randomly. It reboot and it became hot and make a bootloop because it was too hot.
I took it on Huawei Custom Care two times: they tested the hardware and they sad it was all ok. But the phone continued to reboot and crashes. I did some factory reset but nothing changed.
Now I read in this thread that It's a common mistake. So I think it's could be planned obsolescence by Huawei or a corrupted update. I bought another phone, but I can try to downgrade the View 10 to EMUI 9 to check if it is as I think.
Same issue here. However I was on Android 10 since a long time (since beta) and I didn't experience any issues until few days ago. The last update I received was at least months ago.
I suspect this is just normal battery wear. It just can't keep with the power needed from time to time.
This is the reason why iPhones are slowing down via software when battery gets old.
I have one that was dropped. The front and display are whole but back are cracked. It often loose internet connection and frooze and restarts. What can the fault be?
this seems like a hardware problem. take it into service
I guess it's not the smartest thing to do a factory reset when the phone can restart?
It's restarts almost every time when it has turned on. Can it be the battery that has gone out of concact? I guess the backside can be removed with a little heat?
It works in safe mode but restarts in normal mode. What can the problem be?
So i was recording a video with 1080p 60fps and after like 15+ mins of recording my phone stopped working. The camera screen stopped working and there was a pink line on screen but after like 10 seconds the mobile went off(black screen). I´ve tried holding the power button and even power+vol. up but no reaction. I´m charging the phone if something happens but nothing at all for now.
The mobile surely had more than 30% while recording and after the screen went black, the device was a bit hot, but i thought that was normal since i was recording for quite a while. My theory is that the battery died, but that´s weird since i only have the phone for like 3 months.
Is there something i can do myself or should i send the phone to someone?
If under warranty... send it in if you can.
