Anyway to recover SD Card after full device reset?

Hi,
I restored a back-up on my HD2 today and, for some reason, the phone wouldn't accept my unlock PIN (these are enforced by our Exchange Server policy). This lead to an full reset after five failed attempts.
What I didn't realise is that it would also wipe the SD Card. I've tried a few recovery apps (Active Recovery, Recuva) but they're not detecting any files.
I'm not sure what WM6.5 does to the card - but surely there isn't enough time on the reset to completely overwrite all the card data?
Has anyone had an experience of recovering files in this situation - or is this a lost cause?
Thanks,
Mark.
Storage Card - Not Installed after failed PIN attempts
Just had the same issue...
Created an email account for our exchange server - which popped up something about a policy change that requred a password to be set.
Unfortunatly, I picked a 3 digit pin.
When you go to unlock - a 3 digit number won't unlock the screen - it wants to dial instead. Hence 5 failed attempt and woops - the device is reset.
Now the phone is running again - but I don't even see the Storage Card.
Looking at settings - system - memory - storage card shows it as not installed?
Any ideas how to get the SD card to appear again?
THANKS!
Help with storage card!
Same thing just happened to me. My TP2 reset itself after password attempt failure. I removed my card as it was resetting (when I realized it was wiping out). Now I can't get the phone or my PC to recognize the card. Any way to recover the data or just the card? I can't even recognize it to reformat.

Bummer! Seems to me you have a System Center Mobile Device Manager controlled device Explain the lot to your companies Admin and blame the OEM
Personally I'm glad I installed Device Status which gave me a 'Format' option within Settings - System and I've used it; I can't recount how many times..
By The Way what does this nirsoft_USB_DEViEW application do for you ??!
Device Status
How do you install this device status utility ?
Encountered this one last time but the problem with me is that my memory card was toasted after using some freeware to recover sd cards. So be careful.

[Q] Help needed URGENTLY - SE X10

Hi. I'm currently using custom rom wolfbreak CM 6.1.3 v006. This morning i followed this link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007132&highlight=google+maps exactly, wipe, uninstall, wipe, uninstall then install then i get -> "Application not installed" except that i didn't do the first step ( backing up );Thus i reboot my phone. Now my phone can't detect my sim card, sd card ( which means i can't repair it through SEUS ). I also tried to boot into xrecovery but it isn't working. I tried crash system already, nothing changed. Now my current phone state is -> no sim card, no sd card, can't even manual reset factory data, CAN wifi browse still, cooled off about half and hour reboot again - > fail; if i open leave it there it will reboot itself constantly after about 3mins with no sim card and sd card detected. I tried manual factory data reset as well but fail. Now my phone is like piece of useless junk. I'm really in a very desperate mood. Can anyone please help?

[Q] Need serious help with HTC Desire root-gone-wrong

Just rooted my HTC Desire (Telstra Australia) for the first time (TMod LeeDriod 2.5 A2SD Final) and all indications were normal until the first reboot. My phone cycled through the "Why So Serious" splash screen about a dozen times or more before getting to the LeeDriod boot screen. I then got everything working, set in the Telstra settings (as I had no network) and rebooted, and the same thing happened again! 12 reboots on the Splash-1 (WSS) screen, then it went again to the LeeDriod initialisation screen. It has retained all of my Telstra settings but now I have no phone connection!!
I have good wi-fi connection but when I check Network Operators for available networks, I get the message "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network".
HELP! How do I restore to my original ROM if I can't fix this??
P.S. My phone model now shows as an A8181 when I am sure it used to say A8183
Oh and the system says my SD card is not mounted. Even in recovery mode it is telling me it is unable to mount the SD card. I cannot even get Telstra ROM reflashed as the RUU says it cannot talk to my phone. Under Device Manager, my phone comes up under Other Devices "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" three times!
How do I flash the ROM when it cannot talk to the SD card?? I have even tried another SD card and it is not recognised either! I have also tried reformatting my SD card via GParted and have a 1GB ext3 partition and the remaining 14GB or so as FAT32, but still no luck.
I can now also confirm that when I boot to HBOOT, I get a few lines of messages that momentarily flash mid-way down the screen saying something about an image not found. I have tried to start the whole process again but am unable to get AlphaRev to recognise the phone, nor Windows... :-((
In HBOOT when I go to recovery mode and try – mount /SDcard I get the error:
E:Can't mount /devBlock...(something or other...it reboots before I can copy everything)
Update - Issue appears fixed
A link on Roms-au.com / installations / extras / fixing-usb-brick provided to me on Whirlpool forums appears to have done the trick. Not only is the phone identified now, it boots immediately and correctly as you would expect...and my SD card is back!
Now the question is...can I assume that all is well for the long term? Is it possible that this fix was necessary because of a bad flash to start?? Advice here would be appreciated.

Question POCO X3 PRO allow storage permission issue...

I have this problem, whenever... I took a screenshot on my phone, then checking my gallery to see the screen captured photo. my phone was prompting to allow storage permission...to my gallery.
(I have already allowed it after I insert my sdcard into my phone. )
so why is it re-occuring?
the moment I re-allow it. the phone saying can't grant permission.then it cant read the sdcard.
then when i restart or shutdown and on the phone. the notif says, sdcard issue> tap to fix . then when I tried to format it my phone restarts. stuck at logo, then after almost an hour it was still stucked so i decided to turn it off and on manually. then i cant access the sd card anymore. what i did is format the sd card using PC then re-insert it to my phone. it was fixed and can be read again.
but when i restart the phone or take a screenshot the said problem re-occur . (except i didnt try to format it again using my phone)
my 64gb sdcard got corrupted on it.
then I bought another sdcard the problem always occur when i restart the phone or took a screenshot.
Im afraid that if this happened again my other new sdcard got corrupted too...
can somebody diagnose or suggest solution with my problem
my poco x3 pro is global version MIUI 12.0.6 Global
