Hi I need help. I cannot figure out a solution for my challeging problem. If I connect my MIO navigation device to my old Samsung Tab using a USB cable, then all 2 folders on the MIO can be accessed (mio_system and mio_data) from the tab. But if connect the same navigation device via
USB cable to my brandnew Samsung smartphone (note9) then I can only see 1 folder (mio_system). The same is true for my Samsung S7. Again, from my old Samsung Tab I can see and can access both folders. I used different file explorers and made them show hidden files. Still the folder (mio_data) is not visible. Please help.

It seems like your device mounts 2 different partitions system & data for file access . Seems like newer device fstab are not recognising the partition table.
Hi, thanks for your reply. After earlier contact with MIO, today Samsung closed my support request blaming the MIO device. [emoji26]. I am stucked in the middel now. It would be great if interoperability between devices of different vendors could be guaranteed. Do you think a bypass (special app on my smartphone that acts like the current file manager on my Samsung Tab 8.4) could be a solution? After all the note9 is a modern device and must be able to act as if it is the old tab (I hope)...

Hello, I have a problem... Everything was working well, and I didn't notice when it happen. My pc do not see SDCARD, only usb charging. With TWRP I can mount sdcard and PC recognise without a problem. So I have a feeling that something wrong with settings, but I didn't know. Olso noticed that when I add new music to music folder (example from dropbox export to music folder), the htc player do not see new music only old (added one month ago), when in ES explorer I can see it and play using ES player or htc player. I use ViperOneS ROM 2.2. Buletproof 1.3 kernel.
I do not want to wipe everything and reflash all rom. I tryed reflash ViperOneS 2.2 ota update, but no luck. Any ideas whats wrong?

Have you checked setting on the device when you connect with cable.
Is the usb storage activated?
I have to activate it before it shows.

One USB debuging mode and when I push on it I get to debuging mode settings, another is USB conected and when I schoose it I get settings to use WiFi on usb and so on. No settings like charging only or mount sdcard. Maybe is some settings in build.prop where I can manualy change settings to see my sdcard?
MTP is just horrible, it fails with the transfer everytime when I move large files and I also tried leaving the screen on. Is there any other way to transfer files or at least to fix this?
You could try via smb over wifi (a.k.a. windows shared folders) and a file manager on the phone that can connect to it

Do you have WiFi at home? You could try to use a file manager app such as Es File Explorer to send all your files over wireless.

I fixed it with an internet enabled file browser. Still... it's pretty stupid.

Not entirely true. You can push/pull files to/from the device with adb, while connected via USB.

Yes you're right but I guess I see that as a recovery-only solution

I am connecting my S6 to Mac but the phone does not shows any USB options but only charges the phone. Android File Transfer also doesn't recognises the phone. I am using the original cable, have factory reseted many times and also wiped cache partition. What could be wrong? Software issue or hardware issue? Please any tips...Thanks.
Me too... Same issue... Anyone with a clue?
Try downloading Smartswitch for Mac. It's the official Samsung software to work between PC/Mac to a Samsung Android. If you already have these installed Android file transfer won't work. They don't play well with each other.

I am not even getting "Connected as media device" notification but only charging notification when I connect it via USB.
You can browse your file system with SideSync.
Hi all,
a colleague of mine yesterday came to me with his Galaxy S3. The display of the phone is black but the phone is working and recognized by the pc (but only as camera). Problem is - he had USB debugging off.
What have I done so far:
- I searched the forums and threads here and read through them, but all what they suggested didn't met the circumstances or didnt work out for me. :/
First of all I:
- installed all actual Samsung USB Drivers
- installed actual Andriod Studio
- installed SDK Studio
- tried to connect via adb - but just got device offline or device auth? - can't get to the device with adb shell etc. (USB debugging on needed right? :/)
- tried Samsung Kies (no connection possible)
- tried to get to the phone with [email protected], Version 1.1 but it just states the device as "rejected"
I have no further idea how to get to the pictures of my colleague :/
Maybe someone of you has some tips or how can I bring the device online with adb or any other tool, trick etc. and get the data?
Thx in advance!
Andreas

Can't you just take out the micro sd card and get the picture?

No Micro SD card inside - just internal storage.
How about plug it in Computer with Dropbox installed and make it auto import all photos.

Hello,
I have a car stereo that works with Android 6.0.1 and a resolution of 1024x600.
Tomtom Go 1.16 is installed on it and works very well.
I would like to change the image that appears when launching the application.
From what I found, I have to save my image in png format.
On the other hand, I have a few questions:
- Where is the image that appears when launching the application?
- What is the name of the image to replace?
- Should I have an image resolution of my screen or smaller?
A little tutorial would be welcome
Thanks
I tried tomtom on the 5.1.1 px3 and it didn't work.
So you're telling tomtom is working on the 6.0 px5 setup.
Very nice!!!

I had Tomtom on my old Erisin ES4046 car with Android 5.1.1 and RK3188.
Now it is installed on an Erisin ES6046 with Android 6.0.1 and Rockchip PX5.
No problem with the 2 devices.
There is no one to tell me how to replace the Tomtom boot image.
How did you make it work? Mine is stops at the first screen. It tries to connect to internet but fails.

I had the same problem which was caused by the device id being to long. If you have root then get a device id changer from play store and change it to 8 random numbers (76543890 example) this worked for me and now Tomtom works fine. Uninstall Tomtom first making sure to delete any leftover folders, change id number then reinstall
Thank you!!!! I'm going to try. Let you know the outcome.
