[Q] Only USB charging, no access to SDCARD

Hello, I have a problem... Everything was working well, and I didn't notice when it happen. My pc do not see SDCARD, only usb charging. With TWRP I can mount sdcard and PC recognise without a problem. So I have a feeling that something wrong with settings, but I didn't know. Olso noticed that when I add new music to music folder (example from dropbox export to music folder), the htc player do not see new music only old (added one month ago), when in ES explorer I can see it and play using ES player or htc player. I use ViperOneS ROM 2.2. Buletproof 1.3 kernel.
I do not want to wipe everything and reflash all rom. I tryed reflash ViperOneS 2.2 ota update, but no luck. Any ideas whats wrong?

Have you checked setting on the device when you connect with cable.
Is the usb storage activated?
I have to activate it before it shows.

Transferring files from pc to phone

I have no idea how to do this. When I connect the phone to my (ubuntu) pc, I can transfer files taken with the camera to the pc, but I want to put some wallpapers on the phone from my pc. The phone in MTP mode won't show up on my computer, but PTP mode is no problem. Do I need Nexus Media Importer (from the play store) to achieve this? Stumped.
You can use superbeam

Thanks, but I get "This app is incompatible with your device."
If you have a router, I suggest using Airdroid or WiFi File Transfer. Both can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
follow post #5 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537119
the part at the top of this post about "add to /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules the following code"
and then see if your phone is detected in mtp mode
I use the Wifi router and ES File Explorer. I have LAN on right side and Cloud (google drive) on left side. If i would like copy something from pc, i get it to public folder and copy from here to my Moto G. Make scan for find the Pc in ES.
To enable file transfer between my phone and computer I used this method. I am running Ubuntu 12.04. However, the same guide would not work for my other laptop that runs Ubuntu 10.04. After attempting several different methodsI still can't get it to work. If anyone has been successful getting MTP support on Ubuntu 10.04 please post your method here, it would be greatly appreciated.
cheers :cyclops:

+1 for this. You just need to make sure you made the folder on the PC side shareable to your network.
This also allows easy copy and paste between any cloud folders/PC/tablet/phone/whatever you need without wires.

[Q] How do I transfer files from my pc to my Nexus 5?

MTP is just horrible, it fails with the transfer everytime when I move large files and I also tried leaving the screen on. Is there any other way to transfer files or at least to fix this?
You could try via smb over wifi (a.k.a. windows shared folders) and a file manager on the phone that can connect to it

Do you have WiFi at home? You could try to use a file manager app such as Es File Explorer to send all your files over wireless.

I fixed it with an internet enabled file browser. Still... it's pretty stupid.

Not entirely true. You can push/pull files to/from the device with adb, while connected via USB.

Not all folders can be accessed via USB connection

Hi I need help. I cannot figure out a solution for my challeging problem. If I connect my MIO navigation device to my old Samsung Tab using a USB cable, then all 2 folders on the MIO can be accessed (mio_system and mio_data) from the tab. But if connect the same navigation device via
USB cable to my brandnew Samsung smartphone (note9) then I can only see 1 folder (mio_system). The same is true for my Samsung S7. Again, from my old Samsung Tab I can see and can access both folders. I used different file explorers and made them show hidden files. Still the folder (mio_data) is not visible. Please help.

It seems like your device mounts 2 different partitions system & data for file access . Seems like newer device fstab are not recognising the partition table.
Hi, thanks for your reply. After earlier contact with MIO, today Samsung closed my support request blaming the MIO device. [emoji26]. I am stucked in the middel now. It would be great if interoperability between devices of different vendors could be guaranteed. Do you think a bypass (special app on my smartphone that acts like the current file manager on my Samsung Tab 8.4) could be a solution? After all the note9 is a modern device and must be able to act as if it is the old tab (I hope)...

The link to the APK file appears to be dead. Does someone have it? I have a moto Z2 phone and would like to install Moto Key on it.
