Hi! Anyone currently using voice assisted cameras? Preferably controlled using Google assistant/through screen cause I own a Lenovo smart display(google assistant) which is connected to a few home minis.
Was looking at a few cameras, found out nest had a few that can be controlled using google assistant.
What are you guys using? How is it working out so far? Worth the money?

hey folks,
i just got my new sony sw2 and was wondering if the following is possible:
i want to use my sw2 as an extended display for my sony xperia z running oruxmaps (or any other software, that is able to shout gpx-routes).
i already found "GPS Maps for SmartWatch2", but it only has navigation features.
my idea is to wear my sw2 when im mountainbiking as a navigation-system (it´s enough to have a simple map, my route and a location indicator).
any ideas?
regards,
bla
Theres a gps map on the playstore

So what exactly can the new assistant do that makes it that much better? Is it something the current google now + tasker can't do?
Its still a gimmick.
For now, there's not too much difference. Assistant does have a little bit of edge over Now. It tries to offer simpler, shorter answers. It also learns and adapts, like an actual A.I. Now is just a simple Google search with voice. Assistant is more geared towards A.I. and having as close to an actual conversation as possible. I like Assistant. Been using it regularly on the Allo app. But, it's up to personal preference. For some, Assistant is great and they'll love it. For others, Now is just fine and they'll get along with no problems not having Assistant.
I personally love Assistant, but if for some reason I chose not to upgrade to the Pixel (still deciding) i'll be perfectly fine sticking with Now or opening up Allo to use Assistant (though it is slightly more limited in the Allo app than it is as an official OS feature).
Just found somthing really cool!!! Android Wear DP (DP3 in my case) has build in Google Assistant!! Yes it's not a Google Now that's why it didn't worked. As soon as i instaled Google Assistant on my Nexus 6P it started working on my watch too!!!!
huawei watch nve68j
I also have a Huawei watch and Google Assistant on my 5X. How were you able to activate it on your watch? "Ok Google" still brings up the same interface as before.

Do you have the newest android wear 2.0 dp (nve68j) installed?
If so, as long as you have Google Assistant on you phone just hold the button on you watch and you should see a question if you would like to unable Google Assistant using your phone (or something similar). Just accept it and it should work!)
Now I have it working with my Huawei watch (nve68j) and Nexus 6p (npf10c)
Or you just getting error about reaching google?

Will download Android Wear 2.0 DP and see what happens. Thanks!
im wondering, is it possible to install google assistant on my non developer preview Polar m600 android wear watch?
It's great if your phone is assistant capable, otherwise you lose the query functionality from the watch altogether.
does this provide SPOKEN ANSWERS ON WATCH to questions asked of Google?

Wondering the same thing.

Hi
I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and using Google Maps for navigation and TomTom speed cameras for, well, speed camera notification. I'd like to be able to trigger TomTom on when I open Google Maps and shut it down when I close Google maps rather than manually opening and closing each app separately. I don't seem to be able to find a solution on Llama or IFTTT, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Any ideas out there for accomplishing this?
Thanks
According to the blog that I left you in the following link -> here , Huawei phones released after the US ban will not receive an API from Google Services to track phones using BLE bluetooth in order to make a tracking system that allows better monitoring and predictions. of infections.
But if for example a Mate 30 Pro has installed Google services on it and they work right, will it receive that API from Google through the Play Services update?
Interesting...here in France they are also talking about a tracking app under excuse for the Covid-19 virus. I was planning to reactivate my old Alcatel dum phone. It has a whopping 2MP rear cam, fixed keyboard and best off all, no android. Sorry Mr Micron, cannot comply. But if my Mate 30 pro is not able due to being blocked by Google mobile spy services I can leave the Alcatel in the drawer. That said, my Mate 30 pro has GMS installed and working without any hitch, well at least the few google applications I am still using are working flawless. I could also pick up my retired HTC HD2 with Windows Mobile on it...
Google will build the tracking API into the Play Services. This allows them to push it even on Android 4 devices that no longer receive OS updates. So, yes, if you have a working sideload of PS that gets updated, you'll get the API. Not that you actually want to. Bluetooth based contact tracing is a dangerous security hole.
