Hey Guys,
Got a big trouble over here, maybe you can give me some ideas how to solve this issue.
I was recovering my phone to the factory state to flash stock system (it wasn't my first time, had everything prepared, TA backup and tools). Started TWRP, flashed TA as usual over adb then shut down phone and connected again - no response, no led, no vibration, flashtool and pc companion can't see the phone. I have tried absolutelly every single button combination to bring it back to life (vol up for 120sec, vol down, leaving it to charge overnight), no success so far. Even opened the case, disconnected the battery for a while - no luck (with disconnected battery I've had a blinking red led but it wasn't discovered by PC anyway).
I guess the trim area is damaged somehow, dunno how. Is there any way to repair it, assuming I have a working legit backup? Is it possible to flash a dead device?
Did you tried to press volume down when you attach the USB cabe on PC?

So my Z3 died yesterday trying to restor a nandroid backup. It wont go into flash mode, charge or turn on at all. When holding in the power button the red light shows and when charging it's blinking.
Please help.

My phone did the same thing....I flashed something I wasn't supposed to and ended up soft brickng...
Ran through these steps and I'm all good now....you sure u can't go into flashboot.? To enter flashboot...
Hold the down key on the volume rocker
Attach USB that's already connected to the computer
Notification should turn dark blue
It indicates it is in flashboot...screen will not be on

Now I have exactly the same problem. Where you able to resolve it? There's also someone else with this problem:

I've had this problem when the file system becomes corrupted and can't get into recovery or anything. The method mentioned two posts above works. Hold the volume rocker pressed before plugging in the USB cord to the device. That causes it to boot into flashmode. With flashtool you can have it prep all the files for install even if the phone restarts during that process. When it comes back up it will start the install. That's what has worked for me. Good luck.
Hallo people,
I have a very big problem with my d6633. I installed tonight TWRP - so fas, so good. After installing TWRP asked me to root the device, I said YES. My bootloader was unlocked. Then I couldn't exit TWRP. After every reboot the device started into TWRP. Now I can not start the device. I tried with Power+ Volume+, reset button - nothing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

How much % did it have before you started the procedure?
Did you try holding down vol+ and then plugging it into USB?
Hello Jkay7,
Thanks for your support. My solution was to leave the device switched off over the night. Connected via original cable. Today in the morning my dyouzhengwen evice was detected via flash tool and as youzhengwen suggested I could flash the original ftf file.

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633
I have tried just about every method seen. My problem with the flashtool or PC companion is that the phone is recognized by the computer but I can only start to turn the device on which I don't believe it actually boots. Broken display and new display does not power on.
Or it connects in fastboot by holding volume up when connecting. This shows a blue led.
But trying to connect in flash mode by holding power down just makes the led flash red then green continuously.
And for the pc companion it always says the connection was unsuccessful once the led turns green on the device.
I got the phone for only $40 in this condition. So I cannot say what entirely was wrong or what it's last working state was.
I bought a new screen and power flex cable. As well as a back plate and tempered glass protectors. I was going to wait until everything works perfect speakers and all before I sealed it tight with water proof adhesive stickers.
Even before I bought the new power flex the computer recognized it and the battery health and charge %. The battery was able to charge. But I couldn't turn the device on.
The computer confirmed that it had been at 29% after some time charging and then 100% after leaving it on charge.
Now with the new screen and power cable the phone still does nothing if not plugged it. The light was red at first, but then yellow, then after some time green when the battery fully charged. This was again even before the new parts.
I have to plug it in to try anything.
It goes red then starts to turn on and turns green.
But I hear no sound, get no vibrations, the computer only sees it as the phone and shows absolutely nothing on the removable disk. Just blank when I click on the drive volume. But it is seen as an Xperia D6633 phone or fastboot Android device.
I've tried the reset button, holding power and volume up, volume down, all three. Tried my factory cable. Different cables, different ports, uninstalling it from service manager and letting the flash tool recognize and install it.
I also tried the new display on the old power flex and the old display on the new power flex.
Nothing changed, no vibrations, no sounds, system never actually fully starts as far as I can tell, and cannot connect in flash mode only fast boot. And the flashable file is only seen in flash mode. Fastboot can only see the folder but it is ready to flash files as far as I can tell.
@xdathekilljoy
That's a lot of money you're putting into an (apparently) broken phone Brave!
Okay so what happens if you hold Vol+ while it's shut down and then connect it to USB, the LED turns blue, right?
So why does flashing it from there on not work?

Well it didn't seem that broken at first and both it and the display were only about 37 piece. Power flex was almost 10. Seemed like a rightful price.
Yes the led turns blue and it is in fastboot mode. The flash file seems to only be readable for flashing in flash mode "volume down". I can see the folder of the flash file in fastboot mode " volume up ", but not in a flashable format.
And when connecting " volume down " it fails a connection while the led just flashes green to red to green to red continually
Two updates
1. I thought I should mention that when I do plug the phone in to a charger or computer the top does get a bit warm or hot as well as the led turns on. Different color depending.
2. With much fiddling and trying if holding the volume down button for different lengths of time while connecting up a computer I finally got it to connect in flash mode and flashed a file...... No change.
At this point maybe I should try a new battery for the hell of it even though this one seems to be working.
Or there is a minute hardware damage somewhere. Maybe the power ic? Or s capacitor?
Received an OTA notification and installed. At last check, was at the "updating apps" stage. Went to bed. This morning, nothing. Won't turn on at all. Was plugged in all night. No splash screen, no vibration, nothing. Totally dead. Power button + Down button doesn't work. Any hope of recovery?
Update
Also getting - unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) / code 43 when trying to plug the phone into my computer.
Did you try holding volume down and connecting phone to computer? Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, reconnect the battery, and try to power up.
If for some reason it's an issue with the bootloader, there's a backup bootloader, hold vol up + power
Also something to try is LGNPST, that can reflash stock firmware
Power button+volume down doesn't work? The device might be fried. That might also be why your PC doesn't recognize your phone, although the very fact that your PC does recognize that there is something trying to connect to it, makes me doubt my hypothesis.
I'd try to adb reboot it, I think the phone doesn't have to be turned on for that to work. Are you familiar with adb commands? That way I was able to revive my old HTC that was stuck in bootloop and volume buttons didn't work so couldn't get into recovery. Just turned off the phone, plugged into the PC and adb reboot recovery or something, don't remember the exact command line, but you can find guides about it easily.
damn ! i have the same problem after the last OTA update
Maybe it's volume up while inserting the USB cable? Can't remember as I haven't used a nexus 5 for months.
Hello There
I was trying to hard reset my Sony Z3 D6633 and I firstly wiped the Rom then after that I tried to install Stock Rom using "Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde" , unfortunately the power went of while it was flashing and now the phone doesn't even boot or show any thing on the screen , and the led doesn't even blink , I tried the following :
-pressing the volume down then connecting it to the flasher (No Response)
-pressing the yellow reset button in sim tray 10 times then connecting the charger (No Response)
-holding volume up and power together (No response)
I'm currently putting it in charger but it doesn't give any response , I think I deleted an important part in the system , is there's any software that could help me ,if someone could guide me I would be very grateful for him/her
Usually a normal flash with a flash tool shouldn't brick your device in a way that it can't enter stock recovery or download/flash mode.
Did you check the device manager when connecting with volume up/down?
You can try EMMA by Sony to flash full stock, but you need to follow a tutorial to set it up (there's a specific file you need to put in the install directory of the program to skip the devs login).
When connecting the charger does the red LED light up?
Resolved
Sorry for the long absence, after three days of posting this i was about to give up until I plugged my phone into the charger and the led turned on which was a good sign that now I know that the device is still working, after charging it for a couple of hours I connected it to the PC and used "Sony PC Companion" and followed it's steps, and the device was restored to it's original firmware.:laugh::laugh:
Good Morning,
yesterday when i flashed a rom, something goes wrong.
My opo don't go in boot animation and work only the recovery and fastboot.
I don't know why but afther another reboot the phone is dead, i think that is a normal hard brick so i try to restore with the tool "msm8974 download tool" but it don't work, when i start the restore come out a red word.
I never seen a hard brick like this, the phone is 100% dead , when i press the power button don't vibrates and nothing come out, diplay is black.
What can i do to restore my opo? :crying:
Try Wiping everything from TWRP and try a different ROM.
Another thing to try is connecting ADB to get the logcat.
Can you give more details on what you've tried so far?
Additionally, I remember reading that the OPO can stop booting correctly when the battery starts failing.
