Bluetooth turns on by itself - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Can anyone tell me why is this happening? I turned off the bluetooth scanning to increase geolocation placement but it still turns itself on occasionally. I don't want that to happen because BT drains my battery.

Reboot while in airplane mode and audio playback

Anyone have issues where your HOX spontaneously reboots while listening to music or a podcast and in airplane mode? (regardless of using headsets or not) It's the strangest thing as I can recreate it each time. I'm on the factory shipped ROM and have reset settings but it does not matter. I also tried updating to 1.82 and it did not make a difference. Do I have a hardware issue?
I can listen to audio with airplane mode off without issue. As soon as I turn on airplane mode, about 5 seconds after the screen turns off the phone reboots. Thanks!
Just tried, it and no reboot.
Had me concerned for a bit, since I travel a good amount and listen to music while flying, but haven't tried it yet.

Bluetooth turning off

Hi, does anyone else have android wear and find bluetooth turns off when the screen is off?
mine keeps on doing it and im not sure why and its driving me nuts already!

Wireless charging notifications interrupt music

I have to say that the most annoying thing about the S6 are the stupid wireless charging notifications. They get crazy annoying once the battery is full. I use a wireless charging dock in my car and when I am streaming music, there is nothing better than having your music pause every two minutes to beep at you for the wireless charging notification. The phone hits 100% and interrupts the music to say the battery is full. 2 minutes later, the music is interrupted to say the wireless charging has restarted. The phone sometimes does the same thing through the night while I am trying to sleep. The screen lights up the room every 15 minutes or so. This is on a Samsung charger too. I would root my phone just to get rid of this notification if it were possible. Come on Samsung ..... kill this thing.
Yeah very annoying. I noticed this once at home. I'm glad you brought it up because I was thinking about making a wireless charging setup in my car but forget that!
Galaxy S6 (Verizon)
The only workaround that I have found is to run down you battery before connecting it to the wireless charger. Then once the battery is full, unplug the charger until the battery runs down a lot again. It defeats the simplicity of the wireless charging but at least your phone isn't beeping at you every couple minutes.
Now that root has been achieved, has anyone figured out how to disable the wireless charging notification? I used to be able to do it with Wanam Xposed module. I'm pretty sure that it is just a matter of finding the setting with SQL editor and changing it. I'm sure that I am not the only one annoyed by this notification.
Try using the App Don't pause. Works great for me.

I just tried the app and it sort of works. It just turns everything on mute when I start music. It does prevent the charging notification from interrupting the music, but it also mutes all other notifications and the ringer. It appear to have a setting to allow ringer volume adjustment independantly but it does not work for me. When I turn up the ringer volume, it just overrides me and turns it back down. I also had difficulty turning the app off. It's a great start if it were polished up a bit.
I'm hoping for a root fix to kill this wireless charging notification for good.
This is what I have done since the S3 to turn off the sound.
1. Make sure phone is rooted
2. Download any root browser
3. Browse to the wireless charging sound: system>media>audio>ui>Charger_Connection.ogg
4. Make sure file browser is set to read/write and not read only to be able to make changes.
4. Rename the file or extension (i used Charger_Connection.bak)

Media Volume on Bluetooth connection. The behavior changed from 5.1 to 6.0

I was quite happy with the way Lollipop used to handle the volume. When the phone connected to my car, the volume was set automatically to 100%, and on disconnection, it returned to whatever the value was. This is no longer the case on Lollipop. The media volume remains the same on Bluetooth connection, which means I have to manually turn it up.
Is anyone experiencing the same? Is this something that you can change in the settings? I have looked into the volume, bluetooth, and apps settings to no avail.

Bluetooth audio issues

Anyone having audio issues with bluetooth?
It constantly cuts out, stops playing, disconnects, etc.
I've turned off battery optimiser for YoutTube Music and bluetooth. I've tried a few speakers, they all have the same issue.
Someone with a similar issue on reddit suggested turning off wifi. Doesn't work.
It's a strange bug, in that it is inconsistent.
Sometimes the music player will pause, other times it will just keep playing the track, but no sound will come out of the speaker. Other times, it'll stop playing, then when it starts again, the volume will be re-set to a lower setting.
It's doing my head in. I wish I could flash a custom ROM and be done with MIUI, but they all look buggy.

Yes I am facing this problem when I connect to my Bluetooth speaker
It's only doing it with certain apps.
YT music is worst, followed by Radioapp. It doesn't do it with the triple J app, (another Radio station here in Aus). In saying that, the triple J app consumes the most battery, so maybe it has something to do with MIUI's ****ty battery optimising, even though I have disabled it for those apps.
