Hi, Google Tez has stopped working all of sudden today in my Lenovo P2. I rooted my phone long back from Magisk Manager and after that Tez and all other Banking Apps were working fine till now. But today all of sudden Tez not woking coz of obvious reasons(Device rooted and all) I even checked the Safety Net status in Magisk Manager and both are checked and status is true, still I'm not able to use Tez app. Can anybody please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance

Yeah that's the only option left I guess, thanks for ur suggestion. Is there any other option other than this like trial n error ones?
Tez issue
I'm facing the same issue too. It isn't specific to you, I think it is something to do with tez app. Try to use or UPI apps like Paytm.

I've tried this but it doesn't work either..
Don't suppose you have a second phone to play with? Because you can login on that while derooted, then root it and titanium backup the app, which you can restore on any rooted device and it'll be logged in.

Hmm.. It's working great here.
Installed parallel space and thereafter Snapchat. That made snapchat appear in parallel space (could add it to the ps app drawer). From within ps I started snapchat and registered my device.
If this doesn't work, I don't have a solution, sorry.

How can i use Tez and other apps i am getting this error even after i have hide the app in magisk manager
banking apps usually doesn't run on rooted devices, so u must need to hide root status from them or unroot ur device

Hi All,
I've been asking this question at multiple forums but I never got a method that works. I'll first give a description of my setup:
Oxygen OS 9.0.3
Smurf Kernel 2.0.53
Magisk v18.0
NoLimits 4.5a
Based on several inputs please find what I've tried so far:
1. Installed SafetPatch v2 Magisk Module by hackintosh5
2. Google Pay is selected under Magisk Hide
3. Tap to check Safetynet status in Magisk returns success
4. Disabled Telephone permission for Google Pay
I'm still getting the error message that The device is not passing Google Pay's security checks.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ritwik Garg
Wow. Youre modding your whole phone, install custom kernel, root it and install mods.... And complain that google recogizes that your phone is not original?
Just reflash oos and youre good to go.

The reason I am asking for a fix is that people have mentioned Google Pay as working with custom ROMs.

As you can see here, I asked the same question in HavocOS forum. The solutions I received didn't work. I had also asked the same question in NoLimits telegram channel I guess.
Most of the solutions didn't work.
That's the reason I created a separate thread so that we can get a complete solution that is easily accessible for all..
• Use Magisk Hide to hide GPay
• Disable "Telephone" permission for Google Play Services (not Google Pay)
• Clear data of GPay
• Register for GPay (and that's it!)
• (optional) Enable "Telephone" permission for Play Services
This should work. As this always works for me. Let me know if it works.

Tried with Play Services, it works now.
Thanks a ton.
Recently rooted my op6
Problem - HDFC Bank app is not starting ..stating that app doesn't support rooted devices.
I tried using magisk hide on latest version but no luck
Please guide
Have you repackaged magisk manager ? You can do it in the settings. Magisk manager will be repackaged so those apps won't detect it.
If that doesn't help try to hide Google services as well.

Open Magisk Manager App.
Go to Settings in MM App, select repack/hide magisk manager and wait for download/installation.
Open the new Magisk App and select Magisk Hide and Hide your banking app.
Just reboot to make sure everything is fine and try to open your banking app. That's it.

I managed to get it working by using following steps:
1. Uninstall Hdfc App.
2. Repack Magisk Manager with different name.
3. opened newly repacked magisk, let it install update.
4. Restart phone.
5. Install Hdfc app.
6. Add Hdfc app in magisk hide.
I worked like charm. after this Citi App, Yono as well started working.
My advice: First clear cache and data of apps that detect root. Got to Magisk and repack it ( options/general), now hide apps in magisk hide. After that install safetypatch in magisk and reboot phone. You should be all done. This is working with every app I've tried. (bank, snapchat, even some kind of electronic ID app)
Enjoy
Not working. Followed all tips in the thread till here. May b all are false claims for likes I guess. No real working solution.
I tried everything listed in this thread but nothing worked. Devices is google certified, passes safety net, repacked magisk to hide it, also included banking app and google framework in magisk hide list but did not work. HDFC developers seems smart to detect root. Can any one help me out?

Did you clear data to the banking app?
Many banking apps use root detection methods that do not rely on magisk. If the above doesn't work you may be out of luck.

I think you are right. Is there any other possibility/solution to come-out from this problem? As i relied on the subject Banking App.

Look into the canary update channel for Magisk.
It's the only way I can get my banking soda to work with Magisk.
