Hie. I am runninh miui 10 8.7.5 currently. I had tried to do a dirty upgrdae to MIUI eu rom, which didnot boot. So i restored my backup to global beta 8.6.14 and the phone booted up. However the theme store changed to chinese and now I am unable to download any themes. It gives " download error", "check network" or "error 4001". can someone help me out or create a twrp flshable zip for the theme store. Since then I have flashed update to 8.7.5 global, however the theme store still remained Chinese.
You need to do a clean install of the beta since the backup you restored isn't working properly. There is no shortcut to getting your phone working right in a situation like that. You would be best off flashing the latest official beta with MI Flash so you get a clean start.

so i recently updated to 9.5 miui on the original xiaomi mi mix and i was wondering if it was possible to get oreo installed without having to wipe the phone and have to go and reinstall all my apps or have to move all my music to my computer. i am also having an issue with said 9.5 and it removed magisk from being installed. That being said, since i had to apply the recovery stock to get the ota, i had to reinstall twrp and now twrp wont let me go into my downloads to install magisk now. (shows 0mb) ive tried running with all passwords removed, ive tried applying 1234 as a pass but they all come back invalid so... not sure what i did wrong as im following what i did the first time i installed magisk.
was there something i did wrong? is it just because magisk has to be updated for 9.5?
Yesterday XIAOMI Mi5 has get a new update.
About TWRP aborts the update, because firmware MIUI 8.8.30 is required as a minimum requirement.
However, I find these not to download - does anyone have a link?
Regards & Thanks
Same here, does anyone can provide the download link ? Thank you
same here and the last update that worked has some bugs.
Apps crashing, battery drains etc.
Was hoping the new update would have fixed these issues but alas
I cannot get TWRP to flash giving the same error about MIUI 8.8.30

This is to all of you, you can't apply stock OTA updates on rooted devices or devices that have TWRP installed. Stock OTA updates require an unmodified system partition(meaning no root, no Xposed, no root mods of any kind).
OTA updates also require stock recovery, not TWRP.
You can all try flashing any stock firmware for your device then wait for the update notification then try the update process.
To those of you that have TWRP installed, this is a good example of why it is so important to create a nandroid backup of your stock ROM before you modify anything on the device. If you had that nandroid backup, you could restore the backup, then flash a copy of your stock recovery, then unroot the device, then wait for the update notification, then you'd be able to apply the current update. Then after applying the update, root the device again and flash TWRP again, then create a new nandroid backup of the updated stock ROM and delete the older backup from before the update.

I am running Lineage OS 15.1 when it applies the nightly update I get this error.
So what you are saying is they updated to MIUI 10 which as what I can see updates to MIUI 8.8.30 which includes new code
that TWRP and Lineage cannot install over. Also there is this Xiaomi's anti rollback that is installed as well so I am guessing
either live with the last Lineage OS update or install stock MIUI and call it day.

Oh, you mean a nightly update of LOS?
Maybe the MIUI update contained a bootloader update and the new builds of LOS were built to work with the new bootloader?

Interesting I encountered the same problem. Lineage Cannont update because 8.8.30 stock ROM Miui is required.
Simply download latest available miui firmware. Via TWRP install it and then immediately install latest LineageOS.
Here is the link to the new MIUI

10.0.4.0 bootloops for me
Coming from Pixel 3 Experience GSI ROM by EnesSastim. I can fastboot flash the official MIUI 10 Global which works but every time I flash this ROM via TWRP I just get bootloop.
Full wipe doesn't seem to help so I guess I'm sticking on the official Global ROM for now. Any ideas?

Not sure if you ever figured it out but the instructions on EU's site are terrible and not very descriptive.
When they mean when they say "Wipe /Data" is to hit Wipe > Format Data > Type Yes (and swipe to confirm I believe) You will then have to copy over the zip to your phone and flash (That's why the instructions are written that way)
Keep in mind, that this will wipe your internal storage so make a back up. It also takes a long time to boot, longer than clean miui install.
is it possible to flash from one MIUI 10 rom to another? mine is on stock chinese 10 rom now, and can't see any files on the root folder of the phone under recovery. may need to use the rom's flash function.
Hello friends, I hope and can help me, it turns out I have the ROM installed but not let me have permissive the seLinux with the kernel stock, just let me if I put a modified kernel, the problem is that for me none of all the modified kernel gives me the autonomy that gives me and L kernel stock, I want to have the permissive ROM of seLinux with the kernel stock, someone knows how? Thank You for your help

Might sound like a silly question, but when the phone was first launched and people applied xiaomi.eu roms, some reported that installing magisk would brick their phones for whatever reason. Is this still the case? I just want to pass my safetynet

This is the full zip to flash in twrp, but be sure to follow a guide to retain twrp. And I understand it's highly recommended to clean flash when moving to A10.
I have downloaded the full file and gone into TWRP to flash but I keep getting an error code 7. Mine is a T-mo converted to international version. I even wiped dalvik, system and data but still the same error. Can't figure this out.

Check this out. OOS 10.3 has a new partition that makes old TWRP versions incompatible. Developer eng.stk has released v9.108 which I have tried and found working. Prior to that, I was also getting error code 7.

I posted to the wrong forum. Anyone know a working TWRP for OnePlus 6T to upgrade to 10.3?
I had no luck, even with the newer TWRP version. OOS 10.3 is different somehow and TWRP doesn't like it. I just downloaded the ZIP file with the Oxygen Updater app, and then did a local upgrade via Settings -> System -> System Updates. Afterwards, you can re-install TWRP, which is still useful for things other than OOS upgrades for now.

Hi guys,
I'm on Poco X3 NFC 6/128 GB EU ( Italy ). Phone came with rom 12.0.4.0 QJGEUXM.
First day I run MI Unlock and put it in a bag for 7 days. After 168 hours, I was able to unlock it, flash latest OrangeFox and latest Magisk Canary ( now is 21201 ).
My device works perfectly, loving it. I've only an issue, if it's an issue, not sure. Android never told me that it's available any OTA update... BUT... If I manually look for an update, it insists to download "latest version". And tries to download same version 12.0.4.0 QJGEUXM.
Once finished, 2.25 GB, the ZIP rom seems to be corrupted ( downloaded 3 times and tested with ZArchiver on Android and with WinRAR and WinZip on my laptop ).
Obviously I've never clicked on "install and reboot". But my doubts are still here:
* why it wants to download same rom version?
* why the ZIP file of the rom cannot be checked?
* my 12.0.4.0 QJGEUXM should be the latest Global version, no?
Thx all

To address your questions briefly:
The updater is downloading correctly. It's downloading the "latest" stable release of EU MIUI, which is 12.0.4.0 . why it's downloading it again is because you pressed download (sometimes, your installed Stock ROM may have issues, so downloading and installing the same version may fix those, and POCO Knows that)
The updater app behaves exactly like other download managers. It downloads the update package data in a separated "chunks" of data and then combines them into one .zip archive. Sometimes the combining goes wrong and the zip is corrupted ( another reason why it does what I explained above).
Yes and no. The latest EU stable is 12.0.4.0, however, the latest EU stable "Beta" is 12.0.7.0 . To opt-in on betas in the future or install manually you can:
Sign in with your mi account, reboot, then go to the updater app and open settings menu. You should find the option receive updates early, enable that and give it a week or two. Or:
Download it manually from this Link.
Do remember that it is a beta and may contain bugs. So downloading the 12.0.4.0 fastboot version as well may be a good idea in case you don't like it and want to downgrade.
