Go and report your own thread to moderator so it can be move to Q&A section... Btw, to answer your question, you should try the ROM 1st because everyone has their own preference, some say A is good while some say B is better than A or vice versa... Flash one and test for 3 to 5 days, if it suites your dailies then you picked the right one...
I'm currently using the official cm14.1 nightly but I certainly do not recommend it at the moment. It still has some rough edges to be smoothened. I'm using it plainly because of my personal obsession.
Meanwhile I heard that TugaPower is quite stable and efficient. Perhaps you could give it a try.

CM 14.1 is a stable ROM with very little bugs(Battery Icon Cannot Be Changed)...I tried Tugapower(A file of bugs,No 4K Shooting and blah blah)
Latest ResurrectionRemix- stable, no lags, smooth animations (btw way nicer then marshmallow) good battery 5-6sot, a lot lot lot customizations without impact on performance or battery
AOSP ROM [ 7.1.0_r7]
I am loving jgcaap's 14.1

Why doesnt someone make cm14 with sultan camera hals?
they are public as well
I loved AICP Rom but last update was a disaster for me (camera doesn't still work even if I've tried tons of apk and flashable versions ; also, the device is getting more slowly) .
So I want to change my rom, cleaning everything and "start to scratch", to avoid any conflicts... I use phone to work, so I can no longer test Roms and spent my time making and restoring backups ( ).
So, my (noob) question is: what is actually the stablest (or with less bugs) and performing Rom (costum/original/independent developers)? And his configuration (in terms of camera, kernel, gapps and so on)?
Really thanks

RR comes with tons of customization and has got a pixel feel to it, just give it a try you will not regret it. I am getting around 4 hours of sot worth heavy usage.

Hello friends, thanks for taking the time for reading this.
I recently bought a Moto G3 second hand and had previously installed Lineage OS. And I have been having heating and fast battery drainage issues and i would like to know if reverting to stock can help me with that before sending it to repair.
I have three questions. How can I know that i have stock kernel? and if not, where can I find it so I can flash it?
And, if I flash the factory image, I can leave twrp untouched or i must flash custom recovery?
Thanks again.
Edit: Could it be that it has stock Gapps Package? Just trying to find the origin of the problem.

Install offitial lineage os with nano or pico gapps. Origin can be you are running extra apps if using larger gapps or some app may be causing issue which can be located in battery section which app using more batty or cpu in background

Hey, thanks for answering.
While I was waiting for an answer, I've tried: 1) clean install lineage with the smallest gapps package possible. 2) Trying Greenify and Coolify apps. 3) Installing a custom kernel and tweaking it with Audiutor. None of these have helped at all.
When is Idle the phone temperature range is between 35-39 C and with use is between 40-44 C. The battery last 10 hours or less if I dont use it at all, 6-8 hours depend on usage. The apps that get the most battery are Screen, Android os and play services.
My questions are: 1) Those temperatures/battery time are normal for this device or are they a common malfunction in hardware? (Maybe like S4 mini and Nexus 5x with emmc) 2) There's a chance that with the stock firmware I can get better battery time and less heat? (I've seen reviews that this model could get to the 2 days without charge, don't know if that's true).
I have had either a Nexus 5x and a Moto G1 and they never felt so hot when in use. I don't wanna send it to repair just yet because in my country there aren't official motorola stores and I don't want them opening the screen and ruining the water resistance unless that's the last resort.
Sorry for the wall of text. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I also face the same issues with some custom ROMs . iam using moto g3 2gb ram. I also flashed lineage OS 14. I also had the battery heating problem . but for others they have no issues. I almost flashed all nougat ROMs . I face this issue with some other ROMs too. I always do clean flash, with small gapps. I can't use some best ROMs out there as my daily driver because of this battery issue. Please help
Do you face the same issue with the stock ROM? Which ROMs have you tried? The heating is only in the battery or CPU as well? How much does your battery lasts?
I never tied stock . Iam using AICP ROM now it has no such problems. I had issues with aosp extended and dot os and some Oreo roms too. As u said I am also having 2 to 3 hours more battery drain
Should I try AICP? How much does it solve that problem? I think I've made a makeshift solution with kernel adiutor and lineage stock kernel disabling a core and under locking a bit the others and with a couple of powersaving governor's it doesn't heat as much and the performance it's not too unbearable, but the battery drain hasn't improved as much.
If anyone could shed some light on what could be happening I would be truly grateful.
Yes do try AICP, viperOS or RR works well for me and are stable .. I also tried custom kernel with lineageOS. But didn't solve battery draining . I don't understand why it happens to only some rom.

Thanks, I'll try them later and also stock ROM so I can give feedback about those issues because ins really weird and I don't want to have it with a deactivated core.
Edit: RR has 3 variants, do you mean the nougat one? the last version?
Yes bro nougat ROMs

Ok, I've tried and I'm updating.
RR doesn't make my phone heat less and the battery keeps draining also AOSP 8.0. Seems like my problem isn't software related. I've yet to try the stock ROM so I can know for sure.
Thanks for the suggestion mate.
Bro then there might me some other issues that is not related with custom ROMs . Do check flashing stock ROM with out root, and I hope someone more experienced might help you
Hello. Do you know where the best battery backup is? Stock or custom rom? You can send screenshots of battery statistics.

One thing I want to clear is , SOT depends on our personal usage , apps installed , heavy app usage etc. If I am getting 7 hours SOT means it doesn't mean you will also get 7 ..?
I was on stock till Feb security patch ..then moved to custom roms ..
As per my usage , I believe I am surely getting better than stock.
Already flashed many roms ..if you want better battery ,go for pixel experience ROM .
Cheers?

If you want the best "Battery Backup" for your phone, just get a powerbank. Now that provides true battery backup

I think battery backup is an Indian thing. I never understood the reference.
Anyway the best way to know is try everything and where you think it's better. Small tip: everyone uses their phones in their own ways (different apps, different usage patterns, different network signal, etc.) Don't believe something until you try it
No offence but how do You guys backup Your battery?
And what do You backup from the battery... Yesterdays usage??
(Sorry but I just could not resist...)

I tried MIUI, LineageOS, Resurrection Remix and Pixel Experience on my Mi Mix 2s. Here my experiences:
MIUI: Longest battery life and best benchmark results.
LOS: Daily updates
RR: Many options to customize various things
PE: Preloaded with Google's crap
With all 3 custom ROMs I had battery drain (~13% per night).
After testing these 3 custom ROMs I chose LOS, but without Gapps. No more battery drain (maybe the Gapps were responsible for it...?) and a nice, clean and often updated ROM
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions concerning LOS, RR or PE

P3R for stock Google experience. It's also the fastest rom out there with great battery life.
For in between either aosip, arrow, bootleggers or syberia.
Havoc for a ton of features.
We are missing some info here. Best rom for what? Battery, performance, features, pixel like look, cleaned not as many features..?
Evolution X for features
almost every rom for battery (just need the right tweaks)
aosip, arrow, los for cleaned not that debloated style rom also balanced
pe, p3r, Qdp6 for pixel like experience
really you are the only one that know what you want, focus on your goal

Bootleggers 4.2 (with canting kernel) is for me a daily driver since three months now. No 13% drain over night or something like that. (standard 2-3% i think).

Hello
I think after update to 10.3.5 my device
slowed down. On early Android 10 or Android 9 works much more responsive and fast.
Is it my opinion only? I have just a few apps, not games. What official update is fastest?

Flashing rom won't void your warranty. Just use msmtool to reflash stock rom before giving it for repair.
I'm on Paranoid Android and its my go to rom on op6.
If not PA ,i would go for LineageOS then Pixen.
I prefer lineageOS over pixen because of screen calibration. LineageOS is like oos little bit warm while pixen and rest others roms are too much saturated for my liking.
So i would suggest you try PA or if you're comfortable with little saturated screen then pixen.
Btw Paranoid Android has system wide app lock(like oos).
