Hi everyone
I just got a zenfone 3 ultra myself, and dealing with some trouble out of the box.
After googling didn't get me any answers, i thought i'd ask, i am encountering these problems:
-on/off button sometimes works, sometimes doesn't
-other side in the call sometimes can't hear me, just a buzzing sound
-apps sometimes fail to launch
Anyone has any similar experience? phone is still stock (android 6)
Any answers will be much appreciated

Hello,
I have bought an HTC Cruise one week ago. I've used the sim unlocker, and installed the 3LIT3_VI_Full. Everything worked fined.
Unfortunately I started experiencing an extremely annoying problem with the sound. After several hours with the Cruise in standby - especially from the night to the morning -, the sounds simply disappear from the phone. No alarms, no ringtones, and even no music player sounds. Simply, there is no sound at all, and I can't find an option to turn it on again. I have to reboot the phone and then all comes back to normal for some hours.
This is extremely annoying, especially because I've missed some work calls due to no sound.
Is this a normal problem? Is there any solution? Is it hardware - and I need to replace the Cruise -, or software - and I need to install some updated ROM/tool ?
Thank you!
I have installed the Radio_1.59.44.02, and it seems the problem was solved. I need two more nights to confirm, but at least after a night in standby, I had sound on the morning.
Thanks.
Radio_1.59.44.02 didn't solved the problem. It seems it's more stable, but the sound problem still occurs. Some seconds ago I have updated to Polaris_Radio_1.65.30.09 and will try to change to Touch Navia V3.1 with Video Call .
After some days of testing, I'll report my experience (if I still have sound problems or not with this configuration).
Hi.
Since I have got the phone I have noticed this bug and lately it became constant. When someone calls me, the first second is very low then the sound becomes normal. The same with the texts and other notifications. The first thing to come in mind is the "ascending volume" option.. disabled that and no luck. Sometimes I notice that even when I type, the sound is randomly low and high (or maybe I have just became paranoid...).
I have searched the web and seems like many people have this problem but there is no fix. Some of them uses the app "Disable Increasing Ring" or "Smart Ring Control" and they are happy with that. But in my case it didn't work. Don't know if it is because of incompatibility with the 1+1 or with the CM11S.
If anyone else had this problem please help me figure this out. Thanks in advance.
My device is OnePlus Onewith CM version 11.0-XNPH38R. Not rooted (will root if the fix requires it )
I have been using many Lollipop ROMs including version 5.0 and 5.1 in my One plus one. From the day 1 of my Lollipop use, I have a volume bug, which I thought would be resolved in the future. The issue is, after using some apps like VoipStunt, Line messenger or some other calling apps, the loud speaker stops working and the sound is produced only in the ear piece. When I press volume button at that time, I can see the in call volume level pops up, instead of media or speaker volume. This is very consistent bug, which is there in all the roms I have used. I can resolve this mainly in two ways. 1. I can swipe to dismiss all the recent apps and this goes away sometimes(can't rely). 2. Reboot the phone. Many a days, I missed my alarm due to this.
First I thought it could be the error with Lollipop for one plus one. But now I see that, everyone of my friends those who use Lollipop( Yuphoria, Yureka, Zenphone 2, HTC desire) have the same issue. This happens so randomly that now everyday I have to pay attention to the volume mode before sleep in order to make sure, I don't miss the alarm.
Is there any way to fix this? Is this a vanilla android bug? or something related to only these phone models? please advise me. Please don't be angry if this is the wrong section to post this.
Cheers Pals!
Disclaimer: I've read every 25 Q&A pages and not a single one was about this issue, so here it is.
Since I've got my phone I noticed that when tapping on the back/home/tab buttons or while typing, the phone would produces higher sounds as opposed to a normal bzzzz.
Then there's the longer buzz which you can hear for example when getting called, this one is fine.
Have a listen at these 2 audio files. I highly doubt this sounds the same as other u11's out there.
Short annoying vibration: https://clyp.it/ul2fk2pz
Long (perfectly fine) vibration: https://clyp.it/q055dvlf
Things I've tried:
- Restarting phone
- Checking if "Play sound on touch" is off
Anyone having the same issue?
Thanks in advance.
I don't have a solution, but my 1st U11 was an unlocked US version, it also had this annoying short vibration especially compared to my older HTC 10. Eventually I returned it as I wanted the MENA dual SIM version (6GB/128GB) and the short vibration is not annoying at all. So I'd suggest returning the device if possible.
Edited to add that I have worked out what the notificaiton is that is making this sound. It's under software and it flashes up with "detecting" and I hear the sound every time. Does anyone know what this issue is?
I have had my phone for around 4 weeks and it was working fine until yesterday when it starting making a random notification sound on and off all day. It was happening when I had the phone in my hand and when I had the phone on the table next to me. One thing I have noticed is that it only does it when the screen is not locked. Sometimes it did it 10 times in a row other times only once and then not again for an hour. Oppo Support tried all the troubleshooting and nothing worked. We have turned all notifications off and the sound it is making isn't a sound that I have saved for any sort of notification - it is the sound an iphone makes when a charger is disconnected. The next step is for me to do a full factory re-set which I am very reluctant to do - I found transferring my data to this phone extremely slow/frustrating. Does anyone know why this would be happening?
