Hello mate,
Try this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503230
There is also a way to change your baseband, which I assume is causing your network issue. Read the entire post and you will find it.

hi amorylo,
first of all, how ever roms you will try you cannot use them. Because i also had same problem and was unable to use a single custom rom.
But then i read somewhere about firmware package which absolutely solved my problem.
Actually it is problem in your rom's firmware package version. I had stock rom firmware version ending with something like LM2 like that which was the latest update for my rom firmware. But i read somewhere that this version have some issues and bugs. so i flashed low level firmware package ending with LK1. which was lower version of my rom firmware. And that perfectly solved my problem and currently i am enjoying my custom rom
So you have to find higher or lower version of your stock rom's firmware package and have to flash it using odin. Hope it will solve your problem.

What do you mean by baseband not changing? I am confused. I mean you just have to flash another version of baseband. Try flashing ZCLM2/ZCLE2 etc. Tell me exact what problem you are facing.

You have the chinese baseband version. Have you tried flashing a official firmware listed at Samsung-updates.com or SamMobile.com? E.g. a european firmware. Chinese ones aren't even listed there. May be that will fix your issues.

You are doing it wrong buddy! First you are uploading HOME.tar everywhere.
There are three files in firmware package, PDA.tar, CSC.tar, MODEM.tar.
Upload in respective ODIN files space,
PDA.tar.md5-->PDA,
MODEM.tar.md5-->phone,
CSC.tar.md5-->CSC
LEAVE BOOTLOADER EMPTY!
And as LS.xD said, you install OFFICIAL FIRMWARE PACKAGE! Also you can install firmwares of different countries.
In the End, Don't Give Up! :good:

My understanding is that they've released the base code which now can be tailored to work on our device. I think that @jcadduono who adapted 3.0.1 for our device would have to do the same with this base.

That's right!
My honest guess is that they won't be having a official TWRP for us. It's not not that popular of a device unfortunately. I've had the official TWRP app installed from the play store for a while and our device isn't listed.
Best way to check is just DL official TWRP app and run it daily.
It be awesome to have a 3.1.0 but I don't need it to do anything more than what I do now!! ?

Lol true thing. I only do backups, restore, flash things (HECK YEAH)! , clean (dalvik, cache, system, data, internal storage), factory reset, and sometimes removing files from the file manager on TWRP. I don't know what else is there to be added. (Now it is true that sometimes twrp does crashes while installedomg a rom with AROMA installer. But it is nothing that cant be fix by pulling out the battery (thanks LG LOL) and putting it back again.
Besides what the current recovery does, what more do we need the recovery to do? I know there's new bells and whistles, but it works and it's stable for this variant. So, what else do we need?

It has some enhanced ADB functionality which may be helpful for Devs doing their thing (which in the end benefits us). Also has a better partition scheme for 7.1.1 which will benefit us if we ever get that update from LG. And while it's true we probably will never get the "official" support from TWRP now that the base code is available JCADDUNODO can create a 3.1.0 for us. That's what he did on 3.0.2. :laugh:
It also allows for flashing ota zips too. This is a big deal, their biggest update in a while.

Will unlocking the bootloader in view 10 wont give me ota updates?

I want to unlock bootloader before i start using view 10 permanently as unlocking bootloader wipes data. So i wanted to know does unlocking bootloader stops view 10 from receiving ota updates too. Pls help
No, if only unlock it you will still receive OTA updates.
Once you flash TWRP or a custom rom you won't get them any more

No idea about that, I was only n stock long enough to get one update lol. Now I'm on a custom rom so I won't get them any more anyway
But from all I know the bootloader unlock has absolutely nothing to do with updates, only flashing a custom recovery or rom will stop them.

Official Pie beta ota files for Factory Unlocked variant SM-G965U1

Official beta build was pulled directly from the phone that downloaded the OTA update. These are not the leaked builds like before but rather official beta ota builds pushed by Samsung.
This post will be updated a soon as new official builds will be available.
Beta 1/ZRK9:
This OTA file can be flashed directly from recovery but user needs to be on specific build. In this case user must be on Latest Oreo Firmware ARJ2
ARJ2 to ZRK9: https://mega.nz/#!5jxj2ALT!FdMxcXb6xtA63WDmsPktphHnrJFVjll8gEd-h4jGrMU
Beta 2/ZRKJ:
This OTA file can be flashed directly from recovery but user needs to be on specific build. In this case user must be on Beta 1 (ZRK9)

Hotfix1(ZRKJ-to-ZRKP)/ZRKP:

ZRKP to ZRL5: https://mega.nz/#!o3A3AS6Z!pOr4BS9ViujK3ToyuD0WW-k9Dkw9XC_X7kkwc0-Xi1s
Beta 4/ZRLG:
This OTA file can be flashed directly from recovery but user needs to be on specific build. In this case user must be on Beta 3 (ZRL5)
ZRL5 to ZRLG: https://mega.nz/#!guYTRSwZ!oSUDSXx1Zl58RcMdxrYu2J9pAE8tmyMHab06xPDvNXM
Note: All the future builds will be incremental and can only be flashed from specific pie build to another. For example Beta 2 will be flashable from Beta 1. Users wont have to plash back to Oreo and than flash next pie builds like when leaked builds were available.
This is how updates are going to be:
ARJ2--> Beta 1 (ZRK9) --> Beta 2 --> Beta 3 --> Beta 4 .........................................
Please let me know if anyone runs into any issue while flashing the firmwares. I have already tested the files with few other folks and everything works fine, there is no issue while flashing them.
You are the best, I'm on this build, downloading right now. Thanks:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Probably the former, since you need to register in Samsung+ app to get updates as they get pushed out by Samsung.
Hopefully this thread will be updated once every new firmware pushes, since my Samsung + app(beta) never allowed me to register, it just won't even if i press register button for thousand times.

Question New 7Pro - advice on how to proceed with rooting?

Hello!
Just got my 7P from the Black Friday sale (I'm in Europe so a friend who was flying in got it for me).
Still haven't turned it on. Question: should I update first, then root? Or root first, then update?
Maybe it's a silly question and the answer is "update first because updating will remove rooting anyhow", but I don't know if they have maybe changed something lately and rooting is more difficult or whatever...
Thanks!
Yu can always update your phone, some you will, before and after root
So if it's all the same I guess I'll update first or I'll have to re-root...
You can update to beta & then root. No worries. However, If you want to install a custom rom, you may want to stay on 12 until checking the requirements of the ROM.

If you want to update while keep root you can use Pixel Flasher.
i gonna suggest to disable dm-verity at the first time as well, so if in the future you opt to use custom kernel (which i think, you should) you wont need to wipe your phone

Yeah, custom ROMs lie in the future for now... but coming from OnePlus I am familiar with official ROM/fw requirements for them, thanks!

Running newest beta just released ..I got pixel to root and stuff..Phones are boring now ..But I gotta figure it out soon as I get time .Just haven't had time yet
When I got mine, before I even inserted the SIM, I connected to WiFi and updated Android and Google Play, then I inserted the SIM, ran through the setup quickly, unlocked bootloader, rebooted and rooted using Pixel Flasher, wiping Veritas and Verification. That way for any future updates, I would be set to flash with PF, moving forward and that has been very simple
Thanks, awesome. Sounds like a great tool, wish there was something like that for OnePlus!
