Here comes my simple trick to use fm radio without headphone.
Steps:
# Take a small roll of aluminium foil paper.
# Roll it like a rod which should fit into your audio jack perfectly.
# Make the height of the roll to be minimum 5cm or 2 inch, the higher the better. (it can also work for just 2cm height roll but reception differs)
# Plug it in the audio jack, now you should have a headset icon in your status bar.
# Open FM and start listening.
Disclaimer
# Proceed at your own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage to your device
# Hit like if you found this useful.
# Century old method - old is gold - haha

Well, I had looked at ebay. All I can find is universal car holder! It would be really helpful if you had given me the link!
Come on guys I'm sure you'll be using atleast a universal one. I'm glad to get anything that will take my phone properly. I saw one at ebay for £6 from eCell (from where I bought my holder for Tocuh Diamond, very good), but not sure how this is going to be, since the charging port is on the right side. iGO 8 is working fine with TG01, so it would be nice to keep it in the car.

Yes it is - the "arms" move up and down, so you can set them to avoid the Camera/Power/Charge areas.
The entire holder has base that can twist 90 degrees - so yes, you can still use it in Landscape mode !
Proclip
proclipusa.com does not make one for the TG01 however what they do make is some fabulous product that are sleek, simple and work fantastic.
If you look thru the dimensions of different phones the HTC P6300 measures about the same as the TG01 and works great. Easily slides in and out and all the ports are accesable. The holder is also capable of doing a complete 360 so landscape and portrait are not a problem.
I use the phone in the car for MP3, GPS and phone. If I could only find a charger/3.5mm audio plug that would work at the same time that would be my little slice of heaven.
Good luck

Good finding. I was comparing latest HTC phones with TG01, hoping something will match but never found one.
Cradle
Hi I got a universal one from a T-mobile shop. Its strong and has a fixed arm from the windscreen suction pad, so no wobbling around. I use it daily you can charge it at the same time as there is a hole in one of the arms that you can get the cable through.
I have attached a photo of it.
And a link to T-mobile.
hope this is of help.

As bobo972 posted the link on ebay(Italy, Spain), I searched ebay UK and can not find the same thing here. Cant undestand whether those traders charge postage, how much. May be bobo972 can help to translate the page!
Out of no where my 3.5mm headphone jack is like jammed or something idk but whenever i try to plug in my earphones it doesnt go in all the way and its killing me because i always use my headset to listen to music and take calls. The only way it works if i push it down to the point where my phone can recognize it. This happened out of no where and i really need this problem to be fixed or i might just need a new phone so any help would be much appreciated.
I had the same issue. Just shine a light in. You most likely will see some pocket lint like I did. Take a small precision screwdriver and try to pull/pry the paper/ lint out. Do not use compressed air, as it will get even more stuck.

Hey guys, so I've been searching and searching for a fix for this darned low in call volume either from headset or from speaker.
Well after some time of searching I came across a confirmed solution.
I know it sounds weird... But if you take a toothbrush and use the tip on the speakers grills it clears the debris from the speakers and therfore increase volume. I just tried it on my phone and it MAJORLY increased in call volume AND speaker volume (if you clean the rear speaker grill too).
It worked for me so I had to share it. I take no credit for the fix.
Give it a shot and post results.
For your next trick, explain to us how clearing debris from the speakers on the device could possibly help low volume coming from a headset.

I think im confusing you. would "Earpiece" be a better word? the part that you hold your ear to when youre talking on the phone. theres a bunch of little holes right there. clean that part with the bristles of a toothbrush because theyre small enough to fit in the holes and they dont damage anything. ther'es also a set of holes on the back of the phone where the main "speaker" is. you could use the same method on those.
but i mean, my bad for trying to be helpful

Maybe just maybe dust particles can clog the speaker holes. Thus blocking sound from coming through.
You ever think of that?

Your issue might be with the software. What Rom are you running? Also what sound mods if any? I know that they like to interfere. I know I had to really make sure the bristles were getting in to the holes and once I did that debris started to come out. Maybe that helps

Electric toothbrush did the trick for me. Who would have thought!
I just did this, all I have to say is, thank you. My girlfriend was ready to kill me every time I called because i would make her repeat herself constantly.
I tried compressed air first and it seemed to help a little, then I took a clean new toothbrush and "picked" at the speaker holes with the bristles. I was amazed to see all this dust piling up on the screen as it came out. I used to have my volume maxed and any background noise would drown out someone on the line (car was impossible), now I can turn the volume down 4 notches and hear everyone just fine.
I like the idea of electric, some vibration to knock things loose, might try that next time.
Thanks for the idea!
Geeeeeez I picked and picked with the toothbrush. As posted above dirt was flinging all over the screen and back panel. So I took my vaccum extension and would suck it directly over the grilles.. it improved volume by 200% probably. Something I've been complaining about for months, I've skipped over and it took me 5 minutes to improve

HTC ONE M8 call volume
Hi guys,
I did a soft reset and this seemed to have fixed the problem.
Soft reset doesnt delete any data as a factory reset would,
To perform this - Hold and press the Power Button & Volume Up key. The phone will restart.
Good luck!
Is there any solution for low speaker volume ? any suggestion will be appreciated.
Figured why not since it has been asked. Here are some images before i start work.
Disassembly requires removal of the back sticker. Its very thick held on by some pretty strong adhesive. It will come off one time and its not going to be able to be reused. I am working on a file for those with die cutters or a cricut like my self to remake a new rear sticker.
Back looks very promising. Test points and lots of them. And look at that. We have GND, outs for both AMP's AUDIO in and all that good stuff as well as full points for the ARM micro in it.
Mods. 3.5mm in and 3.5mm out. So it can be stand alone or you can make use of the mods amp and what not for some better audio. Micro switch to set it from the mods speakers, line in and line out.
Note.
Speakers are set up so they are sealed. You do not want to mod this area. JBL did all the math for this and you will alter the sound. Good news is there is a fair amount of room in the bottom of the unit. Also the kick stand can be easily replaced as well as the usb type c. Very well engineered unit. And no you can not add a larger battery. Thats the biggest that will fit.
This will not be a find the test point and solder a wire. It just will not work with how its layed out. It will all be done from the underside but sould be pretty easy. Hell you can relocate the type c under the kickstrand if you are skilled.
Awesome initiative. Keep it going!
Yeah, keep us posted for sure!
What are your goals/objectives for the mods? I'm very curious to see what can be done myself.
Interesting... I may open mine and turn it into a boom box.
I'll be working on this more this weekend. Did some measurements with the test points and got a sloppy and quick 3.5mm on it that worked. Now to start tracing the traces and planing it out.

Hello,
I'm currently trying to mod my JBL soundboost 2 to add a jack input because my custom rom doesn't support audio routing for moto mods, but I can't find where to make a connection to the amplifier input. I found something to make a connection at amplifier output, but if I use this the sound will be very low, like in headphones. that's why I'm searching for the amplifier input.
I know it was long ago, but I just found your work on xda and I would like to know if you remember where the amplifier input is located. Thanks !
If you can't or don't remember don't worry
Hello, how are you? I hope you have had an exit, for weeks I have been measuring in free time to try to add a 3.5 mm jack or a bluetooth module, but I can not achieve it since it has an i2c and an i2s bus and I do not know how to connect it , do you have any idea how? Thanks a lot
Hello,
Can someone tell me what is this sensor plz ?
I put very hard by mistake the needle to pull off the sim card, but the good hole was in the other side of the phone.. Dumb ass one day, dumb ass everyday.
Everything seems fine but..
Thank you !
IMHO that's the microphone for noise cancellation.
But that's just a guess.
It's a noise cancelation mic. It cancels the noise being heard by the bottom mic.

I don't know if you could have punctured the phone's watertight seal, but that's a possibility to consider.
Yes I was thinking about that too, but I'll never use it under water.
there is a mic test - *#0283# from the phone dial pad. Test each mic by speaking into the phone and it will play back. Thats not to prove you haven't damaged the waterproofing though....
I did this on a phone I was returning..... microphone seemed to work though... seems a stupid place to put sim tray imo..the side would have been better (possibly wear the bixby button is )
that's the microphone for noise cancellation. This makes the sound more pleasant
