I'm having problems after upgrading my device to Oreo using Flashtool. Every time the phone boots it shows a message "Factory Startup Service. Please wait for power off button." It always shows so I can't use the phone. Is there any way to fix that? It is pretty annoying.
Thanks
Try fix firmware via sony pc companion or flash firmware via flashtool
Startup flag service
Nacho, have you fixed it? I'm having the same problem. Other than force stopping from settings/apps, I can't stop it permanently.

I have a phone that will not boot. I had performed a hard reset and it hung. Is there a way to force flash this phone? There are NO visual indications that it is running, but when I power it on while tethered to my desktop, I get a popup that acknowledges a USB device, but it is malfunctioning and nothing shows in device manager. It is my son's and was freezing up. I flashed 6.1 successfully, so I think, but the hard reset afterwards locked and it's been dead since.
Thanks

Sorry to tell you, but the only option is to flash a test ROM from a Service/Repair Center. No I don't know if you can download that kind of ROM because they're not floating around on the Internet so I think you have to go to the Samsung Service Center in your country to get it repaired!
Thanks Thekn
Hey
I just updated to the new lolipop via the sony software I was in the phone fine then done a reboot and now it loads and get to the lock screen I unlock the phone and it locks again automatically after a second.
I cant really do anything at all now or use the phone. I dont the reboot because Wifi wasn't connecting after the update.
Ive tried doing a factory reset but the screen on boot doesnt seem to be coming up either. whats the correct process just so I can confirm im doing it right. I just want to wipe it!
I held volume key down and powered on. and the screen will just flash and reboot.. so pretty much i cant do anything to fix it
Fixed luckily I had wheres my droid installed and setup and could do a remote factory wipe! .. now everytime i open settings it stops working and crashes. anyone have any idea how to fix that?
Im trying to do a repair now using sony companion
Let me start off by saying that i don't want to root the phone, rooting the phone was never my intention, but it had to be done in order to recover some lost messages i urgently needed.
Okay so I have a Sony Xperia Z5 Dual, it was working fine until I had to restore some messages I accidently deleted on Whatsapp, using a program called "Dr.fone", it said i had to root my phone first in order to do it, and when the process is done, it is going to unroot it, So I gave it permission, it restarted my device during the process more than 20 times, and then it said "Failed to root the device", since then my WiFi got ****ed up and keeps closing by itself, my rear camera video mode doesn't work, any camera program such as Retrica works but is lagging terribly to the point where it's not even usable, and my mobile keeps freezing then restarting by itself as the red LED light flashes a few times, I've tried doing a factory reset, flashing a firmware using Emma (but lets be honest i had no idea what i'm doing), doing a repair using Sony Companion, but nothing has worked, so, how do I get rid of any damage that this ****ing program has done to my mobile?
Please keep in mind that once my WiFi turns itself off, there's no way i can turn it on again, unless i restart my mobile which works sometimes, other times it just remains off.
Flash it using flashtool, I will send you latest flashtool and rom, but tommorow not now.

Is your device Sony Xperia Z5 E6633?
If so, I happen to have uploaded the latest firmware for this device for someone else who bricked his phone.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1-5Lr_Sntl5ekxMcmFHMFVSdjg
You can flash it using flashtool. You can google it.
Only flash this file if your device is Xperia Z5 E6633 though!
Yes, it's E6633.
Thanks alot for your help, by flashing the firmware you've given me, i've fixed the reboot and the camera problem, But the WiFi problem is still there, any idea what's causing it?
Again, Thanks alot <3.

I am using stock firmware. Didn't unlock my phone or root it. Sometimes I also have this problem. And some others too. It might be a software issue.
Sony Xperia Z3 stuck on bootloop, one day just randomly turned off and got stuck in a bootloop after I tried turning it on. Can't get into safe mode, tried fixing it with PCC software repair, no success. Also tried to flash a stock rom using FlashTool but it didn't work I'm guessing due to the Unknown Sources and Debugging not being checked in my phones settings. What else can I try?
First download the official stock firmware for your phone and keep.
While your phone is turned off. Keep volume down pressed and connect via USB while Flashtool is open on PC. Blue led will look light up.
You should now see that the phone is connected in flashmode. It will be displayed in flashtool.
Once it gets detected select the firmware you downloaded and flash it.
If you don't want to lose your data then before flashing unselect Wipe Data.
Sent from my Sony Xperia Z3 using XDA Labs
I tried than man, it didn't work
It should be able to go into flash mode anyhow. If it doesn't then it means it's a hardware issue.
1. december 2020, version N985FXXS1ATK1
I updated the phone on 7. December around noon, and after the update the phone keeps rebooting.
After it boots up, it seriously laggs. It then shows the notification "finishing system update" which after it reaches around a fifth of the progress abr, the phone reboots.
But it is not a real reboot, it only shows the Samsung logo for a couple of seconds and jumps back to the home screen, lags again and the notification starts from the beginning.
The phone's uptime is aorund 15 seconds before it reboots. This was a standard OTA update, no bootloader stuff, no nothing.
I'm taking it tomorrow to store.
I've tried:
- reseting network data
- wiping cache from the boot menu
- booting into safe mode
No difference.
Has anyone else experienced this, or has any advice?
got the same update but no such issues. let them fix it in the store
Dud motherboard if you have exhausted all software troubleshooting options. Had a sm-n985F with similar issues. Random reboots.

Does not have to be motherboard issue.
updates through OTA can get corrupt/damaged so your update mostlikely got this so it reboots all time.
Try reinstalling your phone via smart switch app on pc or ODIN and see if problem remains.
If it stops then it was due to corrupt/damaged files in update via OTA.

Hence why I mentioned if you have exhausted all software avenues.
I took it to the store. They flashed it and now it works with the latest update. Like you said, it just got corrupt
