How to stop HTC Bootup sound on U11 - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

So annoying that loud sound when the HTC logo appears on bootup. HTC said it was not something I can change. I tried an APP called Silent Boot, but it does not work. Anyone know a way?

you would need root to be able to remove the bootsound.

If you reboot your phone while it's on silent then there is no start-up sound.
That's the only way...

Silent boot for HTC Desire HD

Hey guys, is there any application out there that can mute the startup tone for the HTC Desire HD phone? Where the "quietly brilliant" startup, there is this startup tone that I want to mute it. Is there any ways I can do it?
I'm on stock.

There isn't any app that do that, sirry. You have to Root & S-OFF your phone

Try rebooting in silent mode. I own 2 android devices and when they are in silent mode and reboots, there is not startup sound. When the ringer is on and it reboots, then there is the startup sound.

Boot vibrate

mine's the same. also it sometimes vibrates while entering recovery, sometimes it doesn't...for some reason i think it's related to the profile on the phone...whether silent, vibrate, no vibrate...
I'm having different trouble.
When typing message it vibrates for the first cca 10 letters and after that nothing,no vibration at all.
Does anyone know whats the problem?
mine never vibrates while turning my phone on....so it should be related to settings...i usually turns off haptic feedback..vibration...and vibration while typing...i think you may try turning on haptic feedback...maybe disabling it also results in disabling vibration at boot...

Is there a way to set ringtone to none? I would just like to hear notification sounds

Hello, I just picked an HTC One X on at&t and I can't figure out how to disable a ringtone. I still want to be able to hear notification sounds for sms. etc, but prefer not to have a ringtone sound. I realize I can use vibrate and silence mode, but that doesn't really solve the problem completely.
In CM7 on my old phone there was an option to set the ringtone to none in the list, but I don't see such option on the HOX.
Would I have to resort to importing in a blank.ogg ringtone and setting it to that or is there a better way to do it?
I searched through the forum here and saw someone mention an app that allows you to control ringtone volume separate from notification volume, but someone said it didn't work. I'll try to find the app and try that in the mean time.
My phone came with 2.20 firmware unfortunately. If it didn't, I would have rooted, unlocked, and flashed CM10 by now.
Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Create a silent MP3 file, put in the ringtones folder, select it as your ringtone. Job done.

Is there a ringtone named silent on your phone? I've been through so many ROMS I can't say for sure if its in stock but it is in every ROM I can remember. It's usually the first ringtone.

[q] volume mute bug

HI,
MY LG G2X has developed a new bug and not sure how to fix it. The volume goes mute often meaning, i am missing calls. not able to listen to ring tone. For example if someone is calling, if I hold on to my mobile, I can see the call on screen but without ring volume. Only after force restart the volume comes back but this happens many times in a day. I am missing calls often because of this bug. Someone having similar bug? any fix for this issue?
I have tried factory reset, but still not able to fix the bug. Any suggestion, appreciated..
Is it just ringing that gets muted or all audio?

Need more info. What ROM, baseband, kernel etc.
Edit: something very silly used to happen to me sometimes when the ringer would turn low or even off when phone was in my pocket because the vol- was being pressed accidentally... am sure yours isn't that but figured it won't hurt to mention.

Did you ever find a solution to this? My phone has started doing exactly this, and I don't really know how to even begin troubleshooting it.
Yes I did. It was a 3rd party app causing the problem. A call control app that lets you accept and block numbers.....
Thanks for replying. That was my problem too. You saved me going through app by app to figure this out.
