I'd like to know whether this phone would be worth it for 290 euros, along with some more details.
1. Does the charger come with the phone include Quick Charge (2.0 or 3.0)?
2. What are its worst problems? Eg. battery life, software...?
3. Would it be any notorious improvement over my G4? I still love my G4 but not its battery...
Thanks.

If its new then hell yeah its worth 290!
1. No, just a normal charger
2. Low speaker volume, battery is average considering the size, when the weather is hot the phone will overheat and lag.
3. I dont know anything about the G4.

It is brand new, idk if they put the price wrong, but yesterday it was for 290, will have to check today too hehe. Thanks for your answer!
If you have in mind what are u paying its a great option. I got if for 225 euros with Yoigo and Im very pleased with it. I was using a Z3 before, so for me has been like an upgrade. Think about its a 2016 flagship with 2 years warranty.
the available RAM is too weak on nougat, and presumably oreo, firmware...... I can't recommend it unfortunately, unless you're comfortable rolling back to marshmallow and waiving the security updates. You really need 4GB minimum now....

Hi,
Curretnly i'm on the G3 and i dont like it much.
Thinking on 1 of these:
Xiaomi Mi4C
Asus Zenphone 2
Now, I asking that in Mi 4C Thread bc's i thinking that there is some people that might had this.
What do you think?
Thanks!
It comes down to preference really as I dont really like phones bigger than 5" and xiaomi is quite established. Its got the right size, ir blaster and a good SOC which should get good rom support, cm12.1 already available
Where are you based? The Global version of the Zenphone 2 has band 20 which the Mi 4c doesn't have (may be able to be unlocked manually but I'm doubtful). The Zenphone also has expandable storage which the Mi 4c lacks - you may already be used to this and the larger form factor due to currently using the G3. That said, I've heard (but cannot personally verify) that the Zenphone has erratic battery life and performance in addition to being more expensive than the Mi 4c.
ermacwins & wingsfortheirsmiles,
I got used to 5.5" so this is not an issue at all...
I from Israel and LTE bands are 1800 & 2600.
So from my understanding, both of them would work, right?
32gb are more than I need, so the expandable storage is not too important.
If the Zenphone do has erratic battery life and performance, it's a good reason to go for the Mi4C, isn't?
Anyone else suffered or heard on it?
Thanks very much!

Well, my Mi4C had battery drain. Around 3%/hour on idle with WiFi and 4G all off, so when I woke up a third of my battery was already gone. I ended up fixing it by flashing the international ROM but after that, I've been getting 5 hours of SoT which is great. Can't comment on the battery of the Zenfone.
Regarding the battery problem:
Looks like it could different between your's to anyone else.
I read a review in a site in my country and the person who made the review praise the battery life.
Thanks!
My Mi4c has very good battery life. The same like the z1 compact i had. Other phones i had i charged sometimes more than 2 times a day.
The zenfone 2 has worse battery life, build quality and performance. If you don't mind the SD card and 5" screen then the Mi4C is your phone. Zenfone 3 could be very interesting when (should be kinda soonTM) it gets released though!
Thank you all!
Go for the Mi4C.
P.S: A newer model of Mi series also coming soon?
How abt Redmi note 3?
No battery issue with my Mi4C. Left it idle for most part of the day with cellular and Wi-Fi connected the whole time and managed 0.7% / hour idle time. I also have many apps installed (not facebook or any messaging apps though). It's rooted and greenified, running original stable Chinese Miui 7 Rom with some Chinese bloat apps removed. It's also scoring 52K on antutu 6.

Processing power wise, ZenFone 2 (the high end 32 GB internal memory with 4 GB RAM model) is comparable to Mi4C, the GPU is even slightly better. However, when it comes to video recording, ZenFone is waaaaay below Mi4C. The still image, if you use latest firmware, is already fixed though. Note that due to the use of Intel processor, some apps that use native libraries might not be installable. Ensure your apps are architecture-neutral or have both arm and intel version available.
OTOH, Mi4C has thermal issues and I still can't find the best thermal configuration so far. This causes the cores, both CPU and GPU, get shutted down or their upper limit is decreased to lower down the temperature. I break this limit by changing the limit a little bit higher, but if you play games while charging the phone, my best record reaches 90° C. Hot enough for a sleep killer tea
Happy deciding!
Having owned both phones i can say the Zen2 is a dud. The screen is dim, the speaker is weak, some apps drain crazy battery as they are using an ARM emulator to run on x86. It wobbles on the desk and the battery dies after your lunch break. The camera has low exposure that makes everything look darker than it is. The Mi4c just works like you expect a flagship to do.

I dont believe in 90° C unless your phone is borked and termal throttling doesnt work, also phone would shut down anyway with that temperature.

It is, well the screenshot I have is 87 actually in one of the many thermal zone (they're all varying from 60 or so) but during that time I did see and feel 90 (as a hot tea drinker, I know how hot is 90). Thankfully I have a flip cover that absorbs the heat, but if you touch the scree, it's really damn hot. Thermal throttling doesn't work on my device, because I've disabled the thermal driver :cyclops:
I don't really know the actual upper limit, but I guess it should be around 100-120. My PC was 120, but I don't think smartphone's SoC will differ much.

Hahaha, worry not, it's been back to normal temp (30-50). The problem only happens if you play resource intensive games while charging.
My last phone Mi4i also reached ~90°C after playing with the thermal engine. The flashlight turned on in the pocket of my pants and burned for half an hour. I just noticed it because my leg got hotter and hotter luckily the phone wasnt damaged through this. Also, i think the CPU can handle these temperatures without being damaged, but i would worry about other phone components such as SD Card, battery or glued components
Sorry, my antutu 6 score for my Mi4c was 685xx, not 52k.

mmmh i think xiaomi mi4c only for battery
Hi everyone!
What do you think about the battery life of your phone?
Mine is very bad. I use stock MIUI 7. With minimal use I get maximum 3h 20min SOT.
- No gaming,
- No data (3G, edge...)
- No gps/bluetooth
- Synchronization en Wi-Fi are mosly off.
- Auto screen brightness 30%
- ... its a very minimal usage.
My nexus 4 has 2100mA battery. I got 5u 30 min with similar usega.
Battery life on Mi 4C with 3000mA battery is disappointment for me.
How is it by you?
Edit: same usage with sMiui custom ROM I get 3 days standby, 4h 30m SOT.
Woaw only 3h20. Try another Rom, like the Xiaobai Cm12.1 for exemple. I'm on it and I have 4/5h. I heard that Cm12 from TS is better for the battery, but I never tryed.

Waaay better mate... Try do a factory reset on that miui... Something is definitely bugged there. Also have a look on permission manager and see what is set to sync. Miui isn't the most awesome Rom in terms of battery life just because it has so many sync things set in that framework of theirs, but ur battery drain it's kinda huge... Even on phone with lower mah battery.

What is SOT on cm12.1 cm13?
You can improve the battery life of stock MIUI:
1. Disable all Mi Account Sync. Use Google services.
2. Disable "Manage apps' battery usage". The com.miui.analytics tries to automatically monitor behavior of each App and automatically clear them from background based on Xiaomi's profile. This help to prevent unimportant app from continuously doing background transfer, wakelock, etc. However the process itself take too much resources, especially during the first few days when it's trying to learn about each app on the phone. Disabling this help a tons in improving idle power consumption.
3. Update MIUI to China Developer ROM 5.11.1 and later. Since 5.11.1 they fixed a serious battery leak in Default Launcher.
4. Change to OnDemand governor.
Alternatively, just change to SuperLuminal CM13. Turn off "perfd", change to "OnDemand", set Input Boost to 600mhz. You should see noticeable better battery performance.
Light usage: 3 and half days per charge
Heavy usage: 7 SOT per charge

How disable miui analytics? And how change governor, kernel apps work on stock miui kernel?

@Finners not tested but should work
@dexxa05 I was using tweaked Interactive governor in 7 SOT. We are testing stuff here:

Kernel Audiutor work with MIUI stock ROM.

Hi,
I'm following the thread on TS but not participing for the moment
But your last script is on interactive do you think it will be better if we putt OnDemand?!
Thx
Stock miui already interactive governor. I change to ondemand. What is power timer? Deadline row cfg??
Mi-4c cihazımdan Tapatalk kullanılarak gönderildi
Anyone using amplify and/or greenify? Using miui.eu 6.1.28 and getting so lame battery life even with using those and on demand governor
Changing to "ondemand" should see battery benefit compare to default Interactive governor. It's easier and should be more stable.
But if you guys are feeling adventurous, try this Interactive tweak. I put together a script, just download this script and run it in your device.
adb push igp3.txt /sdcard/
adb shell
sh /sdcard/igp3.txt
Don't reboot the phone. You should see noticeable improvement in SOT. If something funny like lag, worse battery, etc, just reboot phone, everything goes back normal.
Once you feel comfortable with the script, you can optionally make it auto-apply every reboot:
http://www.teamsuperluminal.org/forums/topic/battery-life/page/5/#post-4527
Good luck!
PS: This is tested ONLY on CM13! Not on stock MIUI! I hate that stock MIUI! It probably will not work
Is there anyone measure battery real capacity?? I had device can measure that, but im not sure it work properly or not...
i using my phone until 0% battery and shutdown itself...then charge until 100%...but somehow i see the mah reader just read about 1800mah...
If 80% effeciancy of 3000mah, it should be around 2500mah....
not sure if it false reading or defect battery....
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi 6 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Xiaomi Mi series has always been known for the amazing fast charge capabilities. Coming from Mi 5 and upgrading to Mi 6, I can surely say that Mi 6 is charging slower (even after considering the additional 350 mAh in the Mi 6).
I use Accubattery, I get the below readings:
Mi 5 Screen On (~1,600 mA)
Mi 5 Screen Off (~2,450 mA)
Mi 6 Screen On (~1,484 mA)
Mi 6 Screen Off (~1,556 mA)
Such a disappointment

Mi 6 Screen On (~2xxx mA)

Hello guys i have a Redmi Note 6 pro Tulip versión 4 gb 62 ROM, when im playing free firme with high graphics my phone temperature increase to 50° por 52° is there any way to prevent that ? Any ROM any kernel?
Hello I have unlocked globle root rog5
In ultra mode and it's hot cpu 40c
How to get rid of the heat
Lol considering the snapdragon 888 is from samsung and that chip heat like crazy compare to the snapdragon 870 or 865/865+
40c is nothing now try the same on the MI11 or even the samsung s21 ultra and you'll see the pain.
40c from this CPU while playing is not hot at all just use the case and you wont feel anything except maybe a lil bit on the screen but thats nothing, also are you using xmode or not, cause if you do trust me its completely normal.
I'm using this everytime and and cpu temperature is 31-33c
when playing heavy games is around 35-38c never more than 39c
little bit inconvenient when traveling but maybe useful when at home
