Just use Windows media creation tool to make a bootable windows usb stick then hold volume down when powering on to boot from it

Heeeelp
Did you use windows media creation tool? I had the same issue as of 2 days ago. Found the correct windows version on microsofts website and got the tool. Used a brand new USB stick, followed the prompts and am now running windows 10 on my surface pro 2. Make sure you reply to this post or message my inbox as I don't check XDA much.

I posted a thread with the same issue a few weeks back.
No, it's not the end of your phone. You'll need xp/7 to repair the phone (since I'm on linux I can't currently repair it).
Use the LG tool, remove battery and insert it back, plug in usb and hold pwr+volup(or down) can't remember which one. Your PC will find a OMAP4430 device.
There is a few threads how you can repair your phone using emergency mode in the LG tool, you'll need to enter your IMEI etc.. Look in the Development section and look for the right thread.
My thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439373
I've tried that resolution, but t dont works, omap4430 blinking in device manager, cant use lg flash tool
Did you really press the right volume button? I've had that blinking-problem,too, until I pressed the other volume button instead.
And there's no need holding the power-button for doing this.

Where do you get the omap drivers? Automatically whit the O3D in emergency mode?
My computer detects that driver but not install it, seems like a bucle try/error/try/error.
Hi,
Since a recent OTA update, when connecting my Tablet to my PC nothing happens. There is not even an unknown device or such showing up in device manager in Windows when I plug it in. Going into the recovery, i get the 4 icons (RCK, Android, USB and Wipe Data). When going to USB, i get the message that the fastboot upload protocol has started, but still connecting it to the pc, nothing happens. I don't even get the familiar sound in windows when USB devices are plugged in or disconnected.
I've installed the Android SDK as well as the USB drivers. I even tried to plug the tablet into a complete different PC and still get no response from the pc that something has been plugged in to the usb connector. I also tried a different cable with no luck. The keyboard dock is working perfectly, so I assume the port on the tablet is working fine.
Am i still missing something, or is there something wrong with my tablet. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to root the tablet and apart from having unlocked the boot loader i'm stuck, as i cannot flash a custom recovery until i can get my pc to see the tablet.
My tablet is currently running stock Android with the latest OTA upgrade. And like i said previously i could see my tablet fine using the USB cable but since the last OTA nothing.
try another pc and/or usb cable

Thanks for replying to my thread.
I've already tried another computer and another cable. And the same thing happens when connecting the dock+tf300 to the computer. I don't get any response from any one of my computers. (I've tried my laptop (Win 8 64 bit) my pc (Win 7 64 bit) and my wife's pc (Win 7 32bit)).
Is there any way i can flash recovery from the SD card? not using fastboot? this seems to be my only option if possible. Unfortunately I bought the tablet in the States when i was over there, but live in South Africa, so not sure what would happen if i had to send it in if any repairs are needed.
I think there is a way of flashing a recovery using a terminal. You need to be rooted thow... But there is another way you can repair your tablet. I'm not finding it right now but I'll report back here once I do
---------- Post added at 02:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:27 PM ----------
Here you have
1) Download the latest firmware from Asus site (based os your SKU, download it on the tablet since you can't use the cable)
2) Extract the .zip file (you can use ES File Explorer or any other app from the market to do so)
3) Rename the extracted archive to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP" (without the " ") and upload it to a MicroSD card (I'm not sure if this will work on the internal memory, but you can try it )
4) Insert the MicroSD card in your tablet and use this button combination to Power ON and go to recovery --> Start the tablet by pressing Volume Down and POWER togheter for 5 seconds ,a message will inform you that you have 5 seconds to enter the recovery, press Volume UP before the 5 seconds expire.
At this point the device will go in recovery and should start repairing your firmware .

Ok, I did as you said and the update worked. My tablet now shows JRO03C.US_epad-10.4.2.20-20121228 where previously it was JRO03C_US_epad-10.4.2.18.
Unfortunately though, the USB still does not seem to work. I still get no response from the tablet or the computer when i plug the usb cable into the pc. So unfortunately nothing changed. Is there no way to flash an already rooted version of the firmware to the tablet? (the same way i've flashed this official firmware?)
When i plug my HTC One X into the pc, i can go into adb (adb devices), I see the HTC One X (HT24HW100698). But when plugging in the TF300T adb devices show nothing.
A read that 'fastboot devices' will not show any device, and that using 'fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery tf300t-jb.blob' will just flash the recovery image. But while the bootloader says 'Starting Fastboot USB download protocol' and with the usb cable plugged in, all i get in my command prompt window is '< waiting for device >'
Are you sure the problem isn't the cable itself? You got a really awkward problem there lol

Unfortunately I asked a friend of mine to test my cable on his tablet and he could sync with it.
I suspect i have some sort of a hardware failure. Now to just find out if Asus in South Africa will be able to assist me, as I bought this in the States. I also unlocked the bootloader as I thought I was going to root the tablet. It was only after the unlocking that I realized the connection to the PC is not working.
Maybe it did had something to do with the unlock process...

Well, thanks for taking the time to help. I've now located the service center in South Africa, and will take it there. Hope this is not going to cost me too much. I really like this tablet and would love to root it to get some more performance out of it.
If you can think of anything else i can try, let me know. But I suppose the next step is to take it in and hope for the best.
Thanks again.
Good luck then. They shouldn't have to charge for something a OTA did... it's kind of unfair lol

Ok, so i got a call from ASUS today. I need a replacement motherboard, but because I unlocked the boot loader, i'll have to pay for it. That sucks. If i just realised my port was faulty before I started with the unlocking, i could have avoided this. :crying:
So even though the unlocking has absolutely nothing to do with the fault. I suppose I can't complain as I saw the disclaimer. Just mad that I did not pick up the fact that the port wasn't working before I unlocked the bootloader.

Hi guys maybe you can help me!
I was flashing the bootloader of my Nexus 5, and while doing so my laptop decided it would be a great idea to reboot to install a windows update.
Now I am stuck with a dead Nexus 5, it shows as QHSUSB_BULK when connected to the pc, any ideas on how to fix this?
I think I might need to send it to LG, am i right?
Did you try rebooting to secondary bootloader?
I think it should be Volume Up + Power or Volume Up + Volume Down + Power at the same time.

The device still works, just the glass back of the phone broke. The phone is not being recognized by the computer at all even before I smashed it.. I tried every method but it works on my s6 right away but not the note 5. It says my phone has no root now after I factory reset but my kernel is still the rooted version... 3.10.61 noble kernel v0.1
Did the root damage the hardware that it would connect to my pc?

Try a different cable and a different USB port when in download mode.
I had the same once, it's not the end of the world.
I've found the more generic the cord the more likely it will work especially if your port is bent

It seems like I have multiple issues now, The phone is in a bootloop and will not pass Samsung Note 5 Logo, and the other problem is the device is not being detected on my computer.. Now it kinda seems worse because I am not even getting the error anymore it just won't connect.
I can still enter Odin download mode and Recovery mode yes.
I took it to the shop and they said they can fix itbut will cost around $240.00 to replace the motherboard so it can connect to the computer. If I can make it connect I can fix this whole issue..
I have tried multiple cords, multiple computers, disabled and enabled drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, updated drivers, every possible way you can think off with the computer.

Hi,
I tried to unlock bootloader. Rooted phone using King Root successfully. Opened bootloader using inside terminal and installing proper aboot. Then without restart i also flashed proper TWRP usning Twrp manager and after clicking reboot bang... black screen and nothing happens. Phone wont act on power button , keys combinations etc. When i connect it using usb i see partition with 2 folders (version and images). I tried some methods like using LG Flash Tool 2014 but it stucks on 4% and wont go ahead no matter what i do (recconecting ,removing battery etc). I would be VERY thankful if someone can provide me step by step solution or just do it via Teamviewer. If someone would like to help using TV method please contact me via skype (siuted.max - ID) and i ll provide TV ID.
