I am sure this can be easily solved but it is proving to be beyond me...
When I connect my Galaxy A3 to my Laptop (W8.1) File Explorer doesn't properly locate my mobile.
It does find it. Alongside the C: drive icon I get a Bluetooth Galaxy A3 option. Within this all I can locate is the mobile's Contact Directory and no other folders at all.
My Galaxy A3 shows as a Device within printers and Devices.
All I want to do is back up my photos to clear some storage space.
Help!

Hello everyone, I would like to ask your advice on this difficult topic for me:
I need to keep in sync a directory of windows 7 with a directory inside the tablet (in microsd) through a classic USB connection.
The tablet it's a samsung P3110. As you know from ics android devices are recognized with mtp protocol. I can not find an application for windows 7 that will allow me to synchronize the directory of PC with that of the tablet. Because the programs that I find enable only synchronization between directory inside the pc or devices msc.
Therefore my questions are :
-You know a program that allows a sync folders between PC and device mtp
-Alternatively I would like to know if after the root is possible transform the P3110 from mtp to msc, if it's possible which one app i must use?! (although I would prefer the first option absolutely)
Other solutions of sync with the cloud or DLNA do not interest me.
Thanks for the help and sorry for my bad english

I have used microsoft autoplay for years transferring photos and videos to my PC from my camera and my phone. The phone is working fine with one exception.
1) I'm able using autoplay on my PC to set a destination directory on the PC i.e. C:\Users\Mike\Pictures\2015
2) I can also tag them with event details or simply let them the folder be auto named to the date of transfer.
3) Deleting the source is also optional, saying no, simply lets them remain on the phone.
What I have noted since I got my S6, is the S6 will not simply transfer the videos and photos in the /DCIM/Camera folder, but it will transfer TTS files from the navigation software Waze under the Android/Wave folder and other files from assorted game apps also under the android folder.
So I have two questions:
1) Is there anyway to tell the phone to only share the folders under "DCIM" during sync / transfer?
2) Is there any other way to hide folders on the phone other than "private mode", this does not work as the navigation software does not see it's TTS files and simply transfers them again?
This seems to be a pretty simple issue, yet its stumped me and Samsung was no help either, they suggested their smart switch software, which is more for backup than transferring periodically.
Thanks
Mike
Hi! I'm a newbie in this forum. I need help on my samsung galaxy S2. It have problems and I don't know what to do.
The problems:
-Can't capture screenshot(s) and says storage is full, but there is 3,4 gb unused
-can't capture photo(s) and says storage is full, seems same case with the first one
-can't open samsung/stock gallery app, which also says the same thing
-can't make new folder in samsung/stock file explorer, and says "folder creation failed."
-can't make any new file/ edit files (rename, delete, move only works as copy, and edit file in app like microsoft word)
-mostly the problem is in usb storage.
I wanted to screenshot the problems but I can't. It seems like my usb storage is locked by itself or whatever I don't know because I'm not that good at technology.
Okay, I searched google and gets similiar like mine (problem) but I don't find it solves. And note that I rooted my phone about 6 months. Thank you! Please reply asap because I use my phone for business.
Have a 128GB Samsung Galaxy A30s with v11 installed and would like to access the Internal Storage ---> Android(folder) ---> Data sub-folder contents but they are hidden but I need to back-up my savegames from games I play like Fallout Shelter. I used to that with my Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 which I miss because of the ability to access that folder anytime and with any app if needed.
Is there a way to unhide them and show the folders in real time so I can modify, delete, archive when needed as I don't want to root the phone at all. I have un-hide\show hidden files option enabled and that still doesn't work.
I saw even the newer Samsung phones also hide the folders but I was testing an Oppo phone recently and I could use the default file browser app installed on the phone to access the data sub folder and clicking on a button in the middle of the screen which said it needs Google Files, it then displayed all the folders in the data sub folder and I could copy, delete, move them around.
Would that app work on a Samsung Galaxy A30s?
Thanks
Richard.
