I noticed that everytime i transfer files through Bluetooth from my old s7 edge to my current s8plus or vice versa, it fails and it ended transferring automatically through Wifi direct... anyone having this issue?
Last time when i was transferring true Bluetooth files between the galaxy s8+ and a galaxy s7 edge something very strange happened. After connecting both devices i went into the filemanager and started to select the file and pressed send on the s8+. My Galaxy s7 edge reacted and asked to accept the file. Now the misery begins. The name of the sending device was not the name I gave my s8+ but expecting the file I pressed ok. In seconds my Galaxy s7 edge started receiving file after file after file. In around 1min I got atleast 60 txt files. I did not send txt files I was sending a video. So wondering what the files contained I opened 3 of them and was astonished what I saw. Hundreds and hundreds of credit card informations with the 3 digit secure pin and the 4 digit pin. I could not believe what I was seeing. So i made a rar file of all the txt files and secure erased it 100 times. My question is how could this happen??

[Q] Folder view starts with "Verizon Mobile" then goes to Card/Phone folders
Hello all,
I just flashed JB today using Odin (rooted/unlocked). Now, every time I connect my S3 to my PC, it comes up as D: Verizon Mobile, with 6 files visible (autorun.onf, Bootstrap-helper.exe, GdiPlus.dll, ModelNumber.txt, Samsung Mobile USB Driver.exe and ToolLauncher-bootstrap.exe) instead of the screen it use to show with ICS -- just the two folders Card and Phone.
Now if I wait about 30 seconds, that screen goes away and the expected Card / Phone directories appear and the PC says it is Computer > SCHi535 like it should.
Any idea how to get rid of the initial screen? I believe the correct Samsung drivers have loaded as once I get to the 'correct' screen I can go into the folders, copy, delete, etc.
Thanks
Frank
UPDATE: After digging around I went to Device Manager and found out that during the first 30 seconds after plugging in the phone, it thinks it is a CD ROM with software "samsung File Stor Gadget USB Device". I tried to update it - it said I had the best choice. I tried to delete it, but it comes back as soon as I reconnect the phone. I then disabled it. Now, that first screen does not come up but it still takes 30 seconds before the expected screen comes up showing both the Card and Phone in Explorer....
Hello experts.
Let me explain my problem completely.
I've got a n910h which was android 4.4.4 and I flashed the 5.1.1 android version on it myself.
And after that I rooted it and had no problem.
But once I read a thread about volume boost of note 4 but I wasnt sure about which serie of note 4 it is for. But I think once I read in that topic that it's for "c" series which contained two system files; 1. Default_gain.conf and the other one default_gain.conf[stock].
So I cut my default system file and paste it to other folder, then pasted the new system file.
But for no reason I wanted my stock file to replace it with the downloaded one. But I didn't delete the downloaded one, just overwrited the stock one on that and everything was messed up. No call sound on both sides, but the video player was ok.
So downloaded the stock file from here which I repeat I didnt know if its supposed to work on 'h' series. But I deleted that one and put this one instead.
Everything turned back to normal.
But after 3 days, now on during calls, the person's voice is hearable but he cant hear my voice.
Another thing is that when I restart my phone and rapidly call someone before apps load, they can hear me no matter how long I talk. But after one call, the next calls, my voice doesnt reach to the person.
I guessed two things:
1. Its the system file I messed with ( but in this case, system files are completely loaded after phone is started so I think this isnt why my mic doesnt work in calls)
2. An app is doing this due to its permissions given. (Because after apps are loaded, the calls turn like this
Does anyone have any fix for that?
Can anyone please upload his n910h, default_gain.conf system file?
Note: Ive tried to flash to the same file I used to upgrade to 5.1.1 with odin, but it was stuck on 'connecting' and doesnt let me to flash it on downloading.
Thanks already.
Does anyone have any solution please?
Hello all, new to the forum but not to Android. I've been learning and dabbling since ICS on my Galaxy Nexus.
I've got a Nexus 5 that I was just about to post for sale. It was my wife's phone and never tampered with like I do with mine. This past weekend I set her up with a Nexus 5X and then started cleaning up her N5 to sell it. It was a fully functioning phone. The only issue we ever had was that the power button failed. I replaced it about a year ago and the phone has been solid since.
I popped off the back cover just to give everything a quick look before posting it for sale. All hardware appeared fine, put the cover back on and booted it up to discover WiFi is stuck in perpetual "no wifi networks available." I popped the cover off again to see if i had damaged anything, everything looks solid. When reinstalling I made sure to press all of the smaller central areas on the back cover to make sure everything popped back into place, not just the outer tabs of the cover. Still no dice.
I've spent a day browsing for similar issues and found only (can't post links until I have 10 posts)....that deleting the /persist/wifi folder is a potential fix.
Since we moved my wife from the N5 to N5X we had to switch from micro to nano SIM and no longer have a micro SIM for the N5, so no cell network data. I wiped the phone, installed the latest 6.0.1 update from Google, rooted it and downloaded my preferred File Explorer APK to allow me to delete the WiFi folder mentioned in the link above. I've allowed installation from unknown sources and when selecting the APK to install it I receive "can't open file."
I've read that the APK download source may have an issue with how the URL saves the APK to the computer which ultimately prevents Android from being able to open the file. I've used 1 Mobile to download the app and I've copied the URL from Google Play and used apk-dl.com to save the APK to my computer. The phone won't open APKs from either source.
Removing the back panel could be coincidental but I certainly can't rule out a hardware issue.
Any help is appreciated.
Hey there,
I bought a new Galaxy S7 (Sprint) phone and have made favorite folders placing appropriate apps into them. Internet, Music, Utilities, etc.
However when I reboot the phone the organization of the apps I put there do not stay there! (Firefox disappears from "Internet" folder", Radio Paradise disappears from the "music folder", Astro File manager and X-Plore disappear from "Utility" folder , etc. This happens every time I restart the or power off the phone. The Apps are not uninstalled they just refuse to stay put where I want them! Repeated placement dosen't make any difference. They just refuse to stay placed where I want them!
I am not rooted.
Thanks for any insight

As I didn't get any response I continued to dog this issue and have somewhat of an answer that will save anyone else from chasing this issue.
Rebooting in safe-mode, resetting and clearing data with Touch-wiz did not fix this issue.
After live chat with Samsung considering a factory reset their lead Samsung team member recognized this as an issue with Android 7.0 (Nougat) and no action should be taken. It's a known issue with Nougat an a subsequent update will address this issue....
i have the a51 and when i connect it to the pc to get photos off the phone and paste them into a pc folder and open it in the file explorer i get small icons and i get the oldest photos first. when i connect my lg aristo and my oterh samsung that i do not recall teh models they open photos in file explorer with large icons and newest photos first.
so it kind of looks like i have to do some phone settings to make this happen. i tried win10 but they are telling me i need different apps etc. but my older phones do this so the a51 should do this as well. even the nokia does thes but with that phone i have to first copy all the photos into a folder first.
anyway is there a setting on the phone that tell the files to open large and new files first? the phone puts the date and a file number on the photos automatically.
also on a side note how do i stop the pc from giving me that warning triangle in the taskbar and if i click that it tells me the phone has been disconnected or stopped working. i have even use the safe to remove hardware to eject the phone and i still get that message and i do not get it for any other phones i would just unplug those old phones and be doen with it. this phone give me that message every time
