Random reboots - AT&T LG G4

So for the last month an a half my phone will just randomly shut off and reboot with 2 percent battery life and it happens alot even if I'm at 100 percent it will still happen like yesterday I tried to use sc and it randomly shut off and didn't turn back on
Is anyone else having problems like this

Sounds like battery issues. But I'd backup everything to be safe. Remember G4s are prone to bootlooping

Phone is dead. Nothing works :(

Hi all, laid down to take a nap and woke up to a dead Thunderbolt. I can't get it to turn on, no indication light is shown when it is connected to the charger, and I get an unknown device when plugging into USB and trying to ADB reboot.
Everything was fine right before I took a nap and now nothing works . I've never flashed leaked radios and the latest ROM I was running was CM7 RC1.2 with the stock kernel. Not really sure what else to do at this point except weep.
try pulling out the battery?
Tried several battery pulls and none seemed to make a difference. My phone decided to come alive again just a few minutes ago on its own. Now I'm really perplexed by what happened and worried this may happen again in the future.
Uber-weird...
I read this post last night, then woke up this morning with the same symptoms. Plugged it into charger and the indicator light just blinked once and then nothing. I guess this is where some might panic but just let it alone, it doesn't have enough juice to power up yet.

yeah i have seen that before...sometimes you just gotta leave it plugged in to charge for a little before you can boot up the phone
Agreed let it charge a while or go get a new battery and try it

Yesterday when this happened, I was at around 50% battery life. If others are experiencing the same symptoms then we should try to get to the bottom of this somehow. Not really sure what kind of diagnostics or feedback I could submit because other than this freak accident my phone has been running perfectly.

When people had issues like this before for some reason they experienced battery drain and didn't realize the battery was really dead. If its that it could be a bad app, rom issue, or kernel issue.
If is battery after you fully charge I would wipe battery stats then maybe run a rom of your chosing without unnecessary mods or apps to see if it still happens

I have had this happen to me twice in the past few weeks. Each time I just left it alone, charging, and tried powering on after several minutes (10+). I would then fully charge and calibrate the battery.
To OP .... i also had an issue like this and i ended up having to warranty replace it with VZW.
This one was already a replacement to a previous one, and within minutes of booting it up, it was experiencing 'reboot' problems. Verizon indicated i should wait for the update to fix the issue. I just left the phone plugged into the wall for the weekend (didnt even look at it), and Monday morning it was dead. I pulled battery.... let it sit unplugged, let it sit with pulled battery ... nothing would bring it to life.
is this a rooted phone?
If so, we can flash an alternate kernal to see if that is the problem. Usually powering off problems are related to the kernal in my experience with the TB.
IF NOT,
I would try wiping the device so there are no apps before returning to verizon for a refurbed.
It is not likely but possible you have a misbehaving app draining your batter like crazy.
Also, your phone might be doing something weird like closing system resources when it needs ram by accident thinking its an app or something. I've seen that happen before.
I have had this problem twice in the last three days. The two days it happened, I woke up to a dead phone while still plugged in. Unplugged it and put it back on the charger and it eventually turned on. I use it as my alarm clock, so its getting frustrating having to rush to get ready in the morning because my phone dies when on the charger. It is rooted with bamf 3.0, but I haven't done anything to it in months just because it ran so good. I am going to check my app stats to see what I may have downloaded.

[Q] whats happening to the battery indictator?

I am running IC 3.3.9 on my Sensation.
Today in evening i noticed my phone was getting laggy and stuttering alot so i thought I shud reboot it. it was 32% battery left. after reboot it was 8%.. how did that drastic change occur after a single reboot?
Then i kept it on charge as it was falling rapidly and after 2 mins i got a message that your Phone is consuming more power than what is supplied... its not exact quote but something like that.
I kept it on charge for 10 mins turning everything off... the phone was laggy again and battery showed 10%, so i rebooted again while it was plugged to charger..When it reboots, the battery indicator showed 62%... how could it change from 10% to 62% in one reboot???
When i dont reboots it falls down at constant rate except at 100% it stays for a longer time and then suddenly falls to 80%..
Damn, can someone fix this indicator issue or tell me a solution? What is causing this problem?
I deleted battery stats once i flashed it about 2 days back and i thought it would return to normal after some cycles but tis getting worst
EDIT: Just to add: I am on Stock Kernel
1( How are you running IC? EDIT: Oh stupid me pff
2( it might be a bug, nothing serious. What you can do to make sure it is a bug, is to just make one of those magically battery drain happen again, and let it drain.
He is running Insert Coin not icecream sandwitch... I have similar problem ...

Phone battery dies at 20%

I was curious if anyone else is having the same issue as me.
Once my phone hits 20% the phone will shut off and the battery will be completely dead. It starts having the read issues at 23% but once it hits 20% the phone will shut off and i will have to charge it again. I don't know if there's an issue with the phone or i screwed up a file on the phone and its not reading correctly
I have Odin it back to stock and wiped all data and still have the same issue. It is very weird. This issue started to happen 2 days ago

That is a Battery Issue nothing software related. Other people reported that as well.

Next time use the Search button tho since other people have asked this before.
Bummer Dude I have taken mine down to 0. Fully functional
all the way down no read issues. I would definitely call Verizon
to get a new battery. (See Attached)
Thanks for the link. Verizon is sending me a new battery for free. Hopefully it helps.
ImgBurn i have to ask. how the hell do you get 2 full days lol the most i have ever had was 1 day 2 hours

[Q] Suddenly high drainage when screen is off.

Hi
I few days ago, I posted at 13 hours standby, 7 hours SOT photo which was great, as I had used the phone at full brightness 1-2 hours and a lot of music playing.
But suddenly, I only hit 4 hours, with 14 hours standby time.
Normally I get 4-5% drainage when screen is off over a whole day (GSM battery monitor), but today I got 29% drainage from screen off.
I have not installed any new apps. Any idea what this else could be? My cell signal is almost always 3-4/5
Thanks in advance
I have experienced the same thing at least twice!
I think it might possibly have something to do with having used WiFi tethering and turning it off. Only reason I think that might be the issue, is it was something I did both times. To be clear the abnormally high battery usage was not when the tethering was on but after I turned it off..
Try restarting your phone and see if this helps.
Japultra, it did for me both times . Avoiding tethering has also worked

I noticed that restarting the phone helped too. I was experiencing high drain on idle and restarted my phone and turned off LTE and assumed that turning off LTE had increased my battery, but after leaving LTE on and not experiencing high battery drain, I believe it was the reboot that suddenly upped my battery life again. I'm not sure why this happened, as it doesn't anymore - I haven't restarted my phone in several days. I don't know why it doesn't happen anymore as I haven't really changed anything I can think of that would do this, but I'm getting GREAT battery life now from the phone.
Samsung said the android it self, especially 5.0.2, is the main reason or most of those problems and that 5.1.1 will fix most of those.
We just have to wait
Like this? Can someone fix this without uninstall the app?

Would be great if you guys stop complaining?
It happens to the best and most stable phones out there once in a while that the phone freezes for 10 to 20 seconds then recovers (maybe once every 2 months or so)
OnePlus doesn't lie about battery capacity when it's 100 like other manufacturers where they fake 30 mins to drop from 100 to 99
