A few Questions
1. When is lollipop going to materialize publicly in the UK?
2. Will there be / is there a way to cast ( Miracast) from the Moto G ?
3. Is it me or is it not possible to send and receive mobile data while using WiFi ?
I have the XT1039, Moto G 1.5 Gen 4G/LTE version 4"

Mobile Data gets disabled automatically on Android & Windows Phone 8/8.1, (no idea about other operating systems) while using WiFi. Its an OS feature. Independent of device/model.
My friend tried screencast/miracast on an XT1033, but was unsuccessful.. (But, he does it successfully on his Nexus 4, using exactly the same steps/procedure).
Sent from my XT1032 using XDA Free.
If you have root or are willing to root, you could add "persist.debug.wfd.enable=1" without the quotes to your build.prop, then you will have the "Enable Wireless Display" option to select under Cast Screen settings. Keep in mind that Wi-Fi will be disabled when you cast screen so you can only use mobile data. This problem is solved in Lollipop, and I have tested it on a Samsung Smart TV and Roku 3.

Hello everyone,
Let me explain you my situation: I'm on Nexus 6P on the latest Marshmallow. My provider currently has a a new offer: I can use Facebook, Viber and Whatsapp for free without limits (any other app usage will cost me money). So naturally I downloaded AFWall+ and blocked all apps besides Facebook, Messenger and Viber and I also turned on "Restrict Background Data". Now the problem is that after doing this, Android OS is still using some of my data (which enables a standard data plan for 1 day, which costs me money). I tried disabling sync, data backup, but something is still using background data under Android OS (I attached a picture from data collection, I wiped all the previous data usage, so it is showing data usage from like 5 minutes).
So is there a way of how to completely disable background data while on cellular network (not wifi)?
If needed I can provide extra information, thanks in advance
through settings change
In setting app you can choose accounts &s ync , there disable background data is shown .just tick it and done.
Can someone explain me why Android OS uses so much data? I have most of my apps disabled and I also turned off background data usage for most of the apps. But data usage on 4g is 20 times more than on Wi-Fi. How to fix it?
P.S location and sync are off too
Recently after upgrading my oneplus 7 pro to android 10,i realized, glasswire isn't detecting any data. I am using LTE mobile data. And i have turned off any battery optimization for glasswire and even allowed it unrestricted data usage.
But it just doesn't detect any data at all. I am not talking about in background. Even when the app is open, it doesn't detect anything. So this is not a battery optimization issue. Rather some permissions issue in android 10.
