I recently sent my Samsung into for repair, and I got a status of it... the motherboard gave out. hoping to get it back sometime next week.

You cant return your phone under warranty, only repair??

Just called samsung galaxy s support because my phone has been having quite a few issues lately. I talked to the guy for about 5 or 10 minutes and wasnt going to fight it, but he was very firm that they would only repair and reflash my phone and not replace it. AND told me that I would have to get a gophone in the meantime if I wanted to use my cell
Ive dealt with samsung before when I had the blackjack 2 and they replaced my phone no problem. Does anyone know what the deal is or what the magic words are to get a new phone and not the same problem ridden phone I have now? Im sure theyll just tell me nothing was wrong with it...
Once you are past the 30 day return policy, there is a 1 year warranty on the device through AT&T warranty center. I did not have any issues with getting a replacement through the warranty center..
Not sure if you purchased the phone at an AT&T retail store tho
I did, but when I looked through my warranty information, samsung holds the 1 year warranty. I can go through ATT warranty center though and they wont give me this trouble?
I went through AT&T warranty without any issues - I was at 31 days when I had my phone replaced - received the replacement the next day.
Hmm... Okay Ill give that a try tomorrow. Do I just call customer service then?
I had my phone replaced under warranty (external speaker stopped working) on the 30th day. I walked into an att store and walked out in 15 minutes with a new handset.

the warranty give you RECONDITIONED phone, its a refurbished... i dont want them to give me a refurb phone when i bought it new and when they broke my phone after the update failed on my captivate... i hate att...

Many replacement phones are new.
And it doesn't matter what you want - that is the warranty.
If you walk into a store, they generally take a new one out of the box and replace your old one.

hmm... the att store guy also said u shud get new since captivate is a new model and a refurb unit is very rare... i just dont like the idea of getting the phone without the box and it is "new"...
i can send my phone to samsung and they will format my phone, thats my other choice... i am confused now...
btw, is there anyway to recover my data on the internal sd card?
the stores refuse to give me a new phone here in oklahoma. x__X I'm having to call tech support to get it solved.

i already talked with the manager on the warranty dept, they wont give u a new one... never, if you are out of 30 days, refurb is the only choice... let us know if u are able to get a new one...

They refused me, Again. I can't get the phone replaced. If I could get the damn key combos working I could fix it.

Sending Xoom to Moto for repair. I have a questions.

I'm sending my Xoom for repair to Motorola and I can't seem to locate the receipt. I traded my iPad 2 on CL for the Xoom and the guy gave me the receipt. I believe I still have it but in the event that I don't am I out of luck?
I had the receipt in my drawer but my g/f has a habit of moving my things from where I put them. Any help would be appreciated.
I had an issue with mine, didn't have the receipt, but went online with the serial number, opened a case, then called in. they sent me a box (had it the next day, which was a friday.)
They never asked where I bought it or anything, just repaired it. As for turnaround, I shipped it on a friday, got it back on tuesday, which I thought was incredible.
I wouldn't worry about the receipt.

I called Moto today and the lady stated that they are replacing my Xoom with a new one. I hope I get it tomorrow! I'm having withdrawals and my G/F is telling me I'm talking in my sleep about recovery.
What is the reason for repair/replacement?

[Q] Does tmobile send out the sensations on 2.3.4

Ok so yesterday my phones screen got extremely scratched up and I was contemplating sending it back to t-mobile. Yet I realized the new phone that they would send me is possibly going to be on 2.3.4 can anybody confirm this?
I got two of them today and both came with 2.3.3 and the update Saud they were up to date.

I got mine on the 18th, and it came with 2.3.3...I know that was over a week ago, just offering my input. I got the OTA the next day. Curious, why does it matter if it comes with 2.3.4 or not?
What exactly are you trying to accomplish here? Your phone got scratched so you're going to try to pay the $50 restocking fee to return it then go buy another one somewhere else? Don't you think they'll notice it's all scratched and not return it? Why don't you just buy another battery cover off eBay? They're cheap.

broken power button, will warranty cover it?

my power button has been broken for a week now, I know its hardware because it can't be fixed by flashing a new Tom and everytime I insert the battery the phone boots on its own. Ive been paying 8 bucks a month for insurance on my phone and was wondering if sprint would give me a new one for 35$ which is what a friend of mine said they would do

i don't know if sprint will replace it but samsung will fix it for free. That happened to me about a month ago.
If its still under warranty, Samsung should fix it.

[Q] Best Buy HTC One S back ordered?

I pre-ordered the HTC One S for T-Mobile USA when it first popped up on the Best Buy site, since then I've received an email saying my item is back ordered for a few weeks. Has anybody else had the same outcome?
Issue has been discussed in the T-Mobile HTC One S pricing thread. Its because the phones aren't reported in the system until release day being 25th so the system automatically sets status to back-order. The phones will be shipped out to customer order tomorrow or there after. It's not because of a shortage. Contacted Bestbuy myself because same happened to me.

Oh okay, I talked to a Rep to and she basically told me I would have to wait up to two weeks for the phone to ship. Should I try and pick it up in store tomorrow so I don't have to wait for the shipping?
Went through the same thing as well. Best buy didnt seem to have any clear answers.. so I just cancelled the order and went to Walmart to pick it up. Very glad I did.
I was just going to cancel my order and go to Tmobile but now it's too late an ill probably end up having to wait until Friday. Best buy messed up this one...
