There apps that can tell you, it might also show whether bootloader is locked/unlocked when booted into download mode.

It means the number you entered is wrong. Can you tell me which phone model you are using. *#*#7378423#*#* opens the service menu on many phones but sometimes its manufacturer specific.
it could cost 1000bucks yeah.. So beware

Under that, i see:
MAIN MENU
1) DEBUG SCREEN
2) VERSION INFO
3) UMTS RF NV
4) GSM RF NV

If you unlocked bootloader your warranty is lost. It doesn't matter if you relock bootloader your warranty is totally lost because of ta partition is formated at the same time you unlocked bootloader.
Thanks for reply

There's no specific as for the y600.
However, if you post your question here:

I know. There's no specific forum. Please post in the thread I linked previously.
When I'm trying to unlock my bootloader , I get the error failed remote command not allowed after entering the fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x################# command,
I have allow OEM Unlocking enabled in developer options ,
I have tried running CMD in Admin ,
I have tried using without USB Debugging.
fastboot finds the device fine ,but the command doesn't work, any help please!!
Command doesn't work because you didn't read properly. Your bootloader unlock isn't allowed

It does make a difference sometimes and says on the Sony website to check.
Maybe the other phone was produced earlier but anyway that error is common for that status I'd like to be proved wrong mind ☺

It's not allowed, as I said... I'm literally trading this phone for an iPhone 6s as best as I can now.. I thought about it before because there was no Custom ROM's for it... and I got a bunch of people interested... But I held off so I could unlock bootloader and see where it goes from there... Now I LITERALLY may aswell have an iphone with an unstable OS... I'm really starting to hate Android , and SONY is definitely fighting with samsung for worst mainstream android devices on my list...

dont blame sony because you cant unlock your bootloader. you are the only one who doesnt understand it , its very simple , and on sony's site there is a really simple step by step tutorial. if you cant follow that , then yes , go for an iphone, and android and root is not for you .

Are you good? There's a step by step guide BEFORE the pre-requisites... and even then , those are hidden... So yes .. I can read just fine, yourself? And don't blame sony? CLEARLY you haven't processed this properly through your evidently thick skull , how do i NOT blame sony when they're the ones who made my bootloader not unlockable... has nothing to do with not knowing how to do it.. ( I've done it on 2 other Z5's before )

Not even worth our time.. They don't even understand the problem, they think I didn't "follow the steps" ... I did follow the steps.. and it said " YOU CAN'T UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER" lol! So how is that anyone but SONY'S fault?

i thought you just said you didnt even check on service menu if it is unlockable or not , because sb asked you and you said you thought it will be because of another phone of yours.

As soon as he said it doesn't matter if its the same batch, I checked, I also mentioned this.
Try enabling OEM unlocking in the developer settings on the phone first.
