Hello everyone, everything good?
I'm from Brazil, and I own a Galaxy S7 (Flat) SM-G930F (Exynus).
As most GearVR apps are large, and my phone was always getting the internal memory full, I decided to do root on my device, with the CF auto-root.
My android was the android MM, and I was able to install Xposed and App2SD and XInteralSD apps. With that, my problem was solved.
Yesterday, I made the update to the Android N, using the UK version (BTU), because the version for my country isn't available yet.
I did the upgrade successfully, but my root was removed too.
My doubts:
1 - What is the safest method of root for my device, if there is one?
2 - Is there any way to reset Knox, and re-use Samsumg pay and SHealth, for example?
3 - Has Xposed already existed for my model?
OBS: Sorry for the English, because I made the translation via google translator. Also excuse me if there is such a topic. I'm new to this root world.

Xposed isn't available yet for 7.0 / Nougat.

I understand there is only 1 other G9200 dual sim sold and that is from Hong Kong. The beauty of the HK version is that it has Google.
I'm an amateur but can follow instructions well.
I simply want to change from standard Chinese firmware as shown above to standard Hong Kong firmware such as G9200 ZHU1BOGB or G9200ZZH1BOGB or G9200ZHU1BOGB so that I get Google etc. By the way, what is the difference between the 3 HK versions I've listed?

The best (and maybe the only) solution is to root and install GAPPS
Could you give me some guidance on how to do that? I have never rooted a phone, so I would like to be careful. It is also the first smart phone I am using.
- I understand PingPong root does not work with Android 5.1.1.
- Is there a tutorial that would work for this specific phone and configuration (see original post)?
- Should I use ODIN?
- What will be the consequences (tripping KNOX, loss of features, risks, ...)?
- Can I go back to the original state of the phone after rooting? If yes, is there something special to do so that it is possible to go back?
- Should I replace G9200ZCU1BOH2 with G9200ZHU1BOH2 or one in the original post?

Hi guys. Im new to the sight and was wandering if anyone has rooted this model before. I live in china, but im from australia.
I really want to root my phons so i can use google etc. But also i want to remove the samsung app as im stuck to chinese app and cant change the language even though i have selected english on the rest of the phone. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

From where did you buy this phone?
If you selected the language, then all default apps should change to the selected one. Make sure you didn't buy a fake S8.

won't help with Samsung apps - you're going to lose that functionality (nothing missed), but just download HK firmware and use ODIN to install. Simply install a vpn apk such as expressvpn and you will now have google in china!

Might need to be careful with which HK firmware you upload... I can't read Chinese so, I'm unsure. But I made certain that I used the right one for the HK 6gb phone, as I wasn't sure if it was the same for the 4gb phone with less storage and exact same model number. Good luck.

For starter, I'd like to thank you guys for all the help you provide for this site.
1: My gf's Galaxy C5 Pro just got android 7.0 but only for China (Open China) and Hong Kong and after looking into every update since the phone got released, there are no firmware for any other country (I'm from Romania btw) so naturally I wanna' flash the Hong Kong version (to my knowlege Hong Kong version does have the Google Services, Open China does not have) but I'm a bit scared that if it doesn't work as it should I need a backup. Now there are plenty of site and forums that provide "legit link" to TWRP but they just look kind of suspicious and I don't wanna' brick her phone. So any help guys, I'll apreciate it.
2: About that Hong Kong version, would it work here, in Romania without any signal problem? Like lost or drop signal?
I kinda don't want to wait until Romania firmware comes out (which it might not) cause that could be in like 1 year or so.
Maybe there are people from other country beside those mention above that flashed the Hong Kong version and report how the rom handle and work

mine is a sm-c5018, but it had the sm-c5010 Marshmallow on it, there was no update option, even smart switch showed its up to date
so i downloaded the sm-c5010 Nougat from here and flashed manually using Odin, Its perfect and no issues so far after three days of use (here in Pakistan)
you can use syncios to backup your data and then flash this, for a phone that just launched recently i wouldn't take the risk of installing recovery or root

Faithful to Samsung for a very long time and in particular the NOTES range more precisely, in June 2020 I decided to try the adventure with the One Plus 8 PRO and this until today. So a few minutes ago I fell for a Galaxy S22 ULTRA in 256 Gigas and 12 Gigas of Ram. I should receive my new toy for the weekend.
I like to ROOT the phones I buy for personal reasons, that's why I come to find out from you but also to share my experience in return.
I look to you to help me get started with my S22 ULTRA when I receive it. I thank you already in advance!!!
1) To root the phone, is there a tutorial to ROOT my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra European (European Model: SM-S908B with Exynos 2200) with the latest official ROM offered by Samsung using T.W.R.P and Magisk? (No operator Rom, just the Official Samsung Rom without operator overlay)
2) Regarding Magisk, on my One Plus 8 PRO, my version of Magisk still had the Magisk Hide function which is very useful for me to hide the ROOT from certain secure applications that require it. I know that the latest versions of Magisk no longer have the function of Magisk Hide, so what to replace MAGISK HIDE with? (Is there another software to install via the PlayStore or other?). I have seen that there are modules but isn't there an easier way like an application similar to Magisk Hide?
3) Currently for the ROOT of the Galaxy S22 ULTRA, what are the tutorials that exist? I ask this question because now at Samsung I had always used for ease the ROOT with the TWRP and Magisk which made the Knox go to 0x1. I never really understood what was lost by switching the Knox to 0x1 when ROOTING with the T.W.R.P. ??? If you could explain to me.

I brought my Galaxy A22 5G here in the Philippines. Recently I got the OneUI 4.1 update. But since I hate how laggy and slow it is, I decided to downgrade it. Now here's the problem. I downloaded the firmware on samfw.com. I downloaded the XTC - Philippines firmware. Everything is fine the downgrade was completed but here's my problem. For some reason the setup language is Russian. After the downgrade, I noticed there are a lot of Yandex apps. And the Model Name is now Samsung Galaxy A22s 5G.. I did some digging and I realized that Yandex and the A22s are exclusive for Russians. I tried to reinstall the OneUI 3.1 but with a different source (sammobile.com). Still the same process. I picked the Philippines (Open Line) (XTC). I did everything right but the OS is still Russian, Yandex is still built-in and the OS is still recognizing the phone as A22s not A22. How can I fix that? Samsung's Discord Server is not answering my problem. My Model Number is SM-A226B/DS (6GB/128GB)
You can try using Smart Switch from Samsung and then use the function to reinstall the OS completely. I know this will install One Ui Core 4.1 but at least it will fix the wrong name. However, I used Android 12 for a month and there wasn't any problems.
