hey really sry if m sounding dumb but just wanted to know that how can i switch off my universal . actually m using two sim card and i change my sims 5 -6 times a day and everytime i pull out the battery . so was thinking if there any way to switch it off cuz i dnt want my universal to crash . i have tried htc ppc they have that feature by holding the power button but it does nt wrk on universal .. thanx
Hi, you can't turn off universal.
For your sim problem try dual sim (simore for exemple).
This is one of the stupidest things I see in Universal... why can't we shut it off??? Î don't want it draining battery over night............ Yes I can switch off the radio etc but still, our Battery is constantly being used for days/months... No wonder out batterys have such limited life time...

indeed, a valid observation.... hope someone can do the trick to solve this and have our unis turned off at will
today i bought a new galaxy s6 sealed from an electronics shop......the first problem i got was that when i turned it at language detect it was that it was running really slow and i had to double tap on everything for " ok" even at keyboard......i did a factory reset before i could even select the language :| ....ok so after that it worked fine but it still has problems with overheating by doing nothing and with batery life( it charged fast and the life goes down same as fast. had the same problem on a 2y old galaxy s4 and the lolipop soft solved it...).i got the phone few hours ago and it already has so many problems? any1 got any idea?
Return it to seller for warranty replacement. Initial experience with S6 should be fast and fluid. You may have a defective unit.
i got a new one...so i got the phone for 2 days now and the ram is always 85% usage with everything closed( the number of ram usage at datails should even be 500mb). the phone is also over heating ....i saw they will fix it on 5.1 but im not sure what to think anymore...are s6 and s6 edge rly this bad or am i being unlucky?
I have the ram issue and the warm phone. Issue . But not the slow problem mine runs quickly but battery only last like 6 hours and barley charges unless I use the ome adaptive charger. ( can't use that in m van. )
Ok can some please help me..i got confused....the first comment i posted was about the old phone..they gave me another...now this one has over 80% ram usage with everything closed..if i clear the ram it goes to 65-70% but in less than 5 sec its back to over 80. Now the thing i got confused about is that i read online they will solve this in 5.1.1...my current version is 5.0.2 and i cant update it....should i send the 2nd phone to warancy? I also saw that by rooting the phone and deleteing some stuff with file explorer would solve this..is it worth? What should i do? Thanx

Don't worry about that. RAM useage should be 85% full in android. With 5.1.1 large games won't reload in memory for no reason, but ram will still be 85% full if it's working properly.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my Nexus 5 in that it overheats to around 70 degrees (got to 101 at one point!) Just by being on, even without using it. It even heats up when you check the battery when powered off (by pressing the power button once) only by a little bit.
I also have another problem, the phone can detect the SIM card and displays the number on the SIM, but it says no signal.
A third problem is that when the phone is locked and the screen is off, it randomly restarts. This doesn't happen when the phone is in use.
I would really appreciate if you guys could help me,
Thanks
1. What rom are you using? do you use a custom kernel?
2. try reflashing factory images.
3. remove simcard and enable aieplane mode. check if it reboots or lverhears
the round antena wires come loose afaik. i ordered a new set lf antenas and replaced them. phone is much cooler and i get better reception and battery life
I'm running the stock android 6.0.1 which I flashed.
It detects the SIM but doesn't get a signal,
I checked and the wires are not loose, maybe I will order the antenna wires as a last resort.
If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to tell me

Is your GPS working? My Nexus5 have same issue as yours plus GPS is Dead too. After some search I found that the GSM chip is the same of GPS so I think the problem is the chip itself.

Hello professionals
i have serious problem about 2 months ago with my HTC E9 Plus Dual SIM , wifi will not start also bluetooth , when i click on wifi it going grey and become white again , i checked Mac address it is said unavailable , sometimes if i was lucky will work after first reboot , sometimes i need to reboot it 50 times to get start , it start and connect for 5 or 10 mins then wifi stuck again and disconnect , at that time i tried to turn it off but nothing work. note the phone is rooted.
i tried the following :
Not working = wifi did not turn on.
1- firmware with stock firmware and update latest software version ( did not work).
2- replace sdio.ko and twlan_drv.ko on system\lib\modules (did not work).
3- i changed chmod for both files above to 777 (did not work).
4- clear cache partition and other caches (did not work).
5- reset to factory settings (did not work).
6- rooted phone (did not work).
7- change Phone name and bluetooth name when it is work but after a 5 mins driver got stuck and not back again.
8- tried reset wifi drivers or reload (*#265..etc) the code did not work.
9- sometimes after 20 times reboot (did not work).
10- activate flying mode and reboot then try (did not work).
11- i tried to restart in safe mode (same old story).
UPDATE : George suggested to me to try to fix wifi antenna and as i mentioned below in replies i just tighten the back cover and it work again without any troubles again thank you george
i am not sure if there is any steps to do to get my wifi back , i am sure it is software issue because it is work sometimes , i don't know also if there are files need to be replaced or trick can do the job .
please help ...
Greetings
Maen

I am 100% sure it's a wifi antenna issue and NOT a software related problem. Many HTC phones have wifi problems. See here https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/226502/I+cannot+enable+WiFi+on+my+phone
I suggest you have someone take apart your phone and replacing the wifi antenna cable as you can see here https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/HTC+One+X+Antenna+Replacement/31071 or you can DIY ?

i contacted HTC they told me it is possible that wifi board and replace it will cost me 250$ which is fu***en stupid because price of new mobile = wifi board.
i doubted that but too stupid to pay 250$ to repair phone while you can buy new one.
i read about antenna , i think it is part of solution , today i will try it , after those kids in my home leave LOL

Hey guys ! I just recently bought a note edge with known history as it belonged to a friend . It's the international SM- N915F edition which is updated to marshmallow 6.0.1 . Stock original firmware . So the phone I noticed begins heating up with wifi . Just normal use would see the screen warming up and the metal rail and the back . However when the wifi is turned off , it's cool as ice . I checked with mobile data on and still no signs of heat . It heats up with wifi usage .
Did a factory reset , got a new battery , has no rogue apps whatsoever . Help needed as I really need this phone to work and pay off for its price I paid . Cheers .

Perhaps some app is constantly using WiFi or WiFi is continuously scanning for access points
My Note edge always used to get hot (65-70C) with screen on. But underclocking solved my issue, only 45C with screen on.

The one thing I haven't tried is reflashing it . And trying lollipop if that didn't work . I don't think it's a CPU issue as when wifi is off , I could run plenty of apps without the slightest bit of heating up at all .

I don't have evidence to back this up, but my intuition is that changing the battery may help
I had the same problem
I reimaged clean with
https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...ip-unofficial-lineage-15-1-rom-tblte-t3739646
With latest build! https://basketbuild.com/devs/ripee/tblte
Works much cooler.
