Today I received a notification with a new update for the H60-L04. Currently I'm at B820 and my Honor 6 is almost always hot. I'll report if the problem gets solved. Anyone has tried the update and can report if this problem and/or others are solved?
Thanks!

If you reduce the screen resolution, it shouldn't be as hot as before. That was my experience.
Go to AdvancedSettings and search for screen energy saving

Yep, I was using that screen power saving feature, but it was hot using it or not. For now with the update it doesn't get that warm and battery seems to last a bit longer!

Ok I can only speak for my 820 Version. I didn't tried other 800s. And there I am fully satisfied with temperature and battery
Do you by any chance have the ota file?
http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/h60-l04-ota-update-c432b820-c432b860.782210/
Can it be flashed on C185B820 L-04?

You have to flash a new updater thru twrp then you can restore stock recovery and run the update. You don't need root use the honor multi tool
http://www.mediafire.com/download/07td1q9e38ym450/HwOUC_LOC.zip flash this via twrp you should have update in local update now
Would be great if someone could make a twrp-backup of b860. One or another will need that sooner or later!

Extract zip file and copy the update.app into “dload” folder in SD.
Open the dialler in device and dial *#*#2846579#*#* you will get project menu.
Select 4th option 'SD card upgrade' it will power off phone & flash update.
After flashing successful it will reboot.
This work also for downgrade from MM

Thank u for help!
guys, do you notice that crazy batery drain on B860? or only me have this problem? do you have a solution?
My battery drain is not any different with 860 compared to 820 and that was ok for me.
But my huge problem is that my push notifications from apps like whatsapp and gmail are now delayed by hours. I think i checked all the relevant options like background data, wlan always on, ignore battery optimization and keep running after screen off but it seems like it doesn't work.
Is there a way to downgrade from 860 to 820 ?

I had the same probleme on 860. But uninstalling and reinstalling WhatsApp helped. Now everything works fine again!

Yeah i tried that. Didn't work for me. In hindsight that might have happened because I restored the whatsapp backup I did with Huawai Backup and it must have had some faulty settings.
Anyway, I did the switch back to 820 by flashing with fastboot and now gmail is working fine again. Not sure about whatsapp. It's definitely better although I received two or three messages a bit delayed. Need some more testing. But that is nothing like those 6 hour delays I had before.

The same here. I restored the WhatsApp backup as well. I think that was the reason for the Problem!

You need to turn off scanning always available inc when screen is off in settings WiFi advanced. until the latest firmware update is released ending in 73 it's not out everywhere yet, this is what I've done and I'm getting min 4-4.5hrs screen time.

Unable to get updates from Settings

Hello i've got kind of an issue with my Honor 8 FRD L09: I was recently using Lineage OS 14.1 without any issue. But I decided to go back to EMUI so I used dload method to install B101 update. Everything was ok and then from settings I installed B140. But right now it doesn't provide me any update from settings. I want to reach the last EMUI with Android 6.0
Does anybody knows how to install these updates from settings ?

Try factory reset. I went through the same thing as you and it solved.
When you do the B394 or whatever is the latest, do the reset again, just to clean old trash from previous versions.

Settings>Advanced settings>Backup & reset>Factory data reset.
You don't need to setup any google, Huawei or whatever account to get the update. I do a factory reset also after the last update. It prevents under performance and battery drain issues. That's why I always leave the accounts to the very end, after doing all updates.

Alright I see, but right now all my apps are installed, photos synced etc... That's why I'd like to try Firmware Finder DNS update first, but thanks for your tip I'll use it one day for sure

Samsung Device Maintenance app extremely high battery usage!

I tried to uninstall updates, also clearing cache but nothing works
this app must be a battery life improver app! not a killer one!!
knox anti malware system is off in it
Try clearing cache partition in recovery. If that doesn't help factory reset.

do you have the same problem with your device maintenance app ?
Bro, it shows a battery usage of.. a system. The Device Maintenance app is a part of the system - so it does not show the battery usage only of the app - it shows all the usage of the system apps. That's why is so high .

You didn't understand me. It's a part of the system and the percentage shows overall battery usage of all the system apps.

Yes its not there, and now exynos is on V2 bootloader too which means its not possible anymore to flash back to V1 bootloader, btw its the android system drain that you are experiencing, for me its 4%. Maybe clear the cache to solve it, or a factory reset as a last resort.

Question Clear calling disappeared... Again... [SOLVED]

After may update, clear calling disappeared from settings.
I remembered the same issue on february or march update.
Do you have the same issue ?

I didn't wipe, just regular monthly update
I had this happen to me a few monthly releases back. Ended up factory resetting and haven't had the issue since. Go figure.
