I'm in the same boat. Sim tray 1 will show a signal icon w/circle crossed out, but nothing else after that. I even reflashed the stock ROM before the update to see if it will fix the problem. No dice Looks like it's back to my trusted brands for a dual Sim phone (Samsung, LG, Huawei, etc.).

How can i unlock it in order to use T-Mobile
Everyone is saying the phone should be unlocked but for some reason it is not picking up my simcard which makes me believe the phone is locked. The IMEI came back clean as well.
There are several software methods to write the imei back to the phone

Believe it or not... I have the exact same device. Just slide your sim from SIM Slot 1 and slide it into SIM Slot 2. As far as I know you device isn't locked. I bought mine new from Amazon and I put my T-Mo SIM in the Slot 1 and it doesn't even read the SIM at all.
*Settings>Common Settings>Data Connection (make sure your sim is in Slot 2)>tick your sim (t-mo/at&t)
-OR-
Settings>All Settings>Dual SIM Setting>(Again, you SIM should be highlighted with an orange & white switch on the right of your activated SIM) Now you should see all your SIM's capabilities..Data, Messaging, Voice.

1. two sim cards are in the slots but one of them is deactivate ( in settings-->Dual SIM--> deactivate one of simcards)
2.put in to the mobile only one simcard
???
No difference they have the same specs. You can put 2 sim but you won't be able to use microsd card.

I KNOW THIS SUCKS. IF I KNEW THAT I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PUT 2 SIMS AND MICROSIM I WOULD NEVER PURCHASED. Z5 P WAS A SWEET SPOT DESPITE THE ISSUES. :crying:
Anybody know what networks is supported by the SIM-slots?
Long time before I look for an Z3 Dual and there was mentioned that both SIM´s support 3 or 4G.
But XZP? Only one with 3 or 4G and the other one 2G? Or also both 3 or 4G? (and then dual stand by with mobile data?)
And for the 2nd SIM/SD-Hybrid Slot-there are a hack (not only XZP, also other Hybrid-SIM-Slot devices) going around the net to use Dual SIM together with additional SD Card.
They remove the SIM-Chip and glue it at the backside of the SD-Card...but I dont know this hack also work with/on XZP.

Hi everyone, my old HTC Desire 820 has a problem. It randomly stops detecting the SIM card from yesterday (I checked another sim cards and another device, it's a smarthphone fault, not a sim card). I looked through various tips in google what could be the reason and how to fix them, but they didn’t help. I will add that sometimes for example for 2-3 minutes everything is okay the sim card works well and a moment later when I start using a smartphone I got info “No sim card, no service”. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the SIM tray hardware in the device is failing or maybe you need to reflash the stock firmware for your device. The device is old, it isn't hard to imagine that the hardware or software may have become corrupted.

Hello..
I have my second Google Pixel 7 Pro Phone here, where the basic function (cellular) not possible.
No SIM Card - service not available is displayed as an error message.
A reset, a reset of the connections, a new SIM card brought no improvement, another pixel (Rep. by Google has the same error since this morning).
The pixel has all the latest patches, and not beta version.
When I restart the Pixel the error is gone (and all is ok) for about 6 hours or sometimes more.
i am also not the only one with this error, and the Google Support is at this Time Clueless...

If it's happening with multiple Pixel phones and multiple sim cards it has to be some form of incompatibility between your network and the phone.
Have you tried the card with another phone and the phone with another card?
Yep the Sim Card works perfect in my Xiaomi MI Note 10 pro, i have never befor any error like that.
- This is the basic function of a Phone that should always work

And I bet you if you put another provider's sim in the phone, it would work fine. You're blaming the phone exclusively and I'd say its likely a combination of the two - your provider and the phone.
Is it a sim free, unbranded Pixel 7 Pro or network branded? I also wouldn't rule out changes made to the phone by the network contributing if it's branded.
The Pixel 7 Pro is (unlocked) provider Free also Sim Free.
So the same as mine and thousands of others who don't have this issue. Put another sim card in it from another provider, I can pretty much guarantee it won't happen.
Looking at what you have said, I'd say there is an incompatibility between your network and the P7P. But it's not something you can blame the phone for exclusively.

and i found the same problem in this forum
Pixel 7 Pro losing cellular connection and unable to reconnect
I live in Boston metro area with abundant LTE/5G coverage, but drive through two nearly dead zones, each of them lasts just a few seconds. My previous phone would not stop YouTube playback going through those areas. My Pixel 7 Pro loses...

so i think its a PIxel 7 problem

Here's what happened with mine. Received last week of November.
Coming from a PIxel 6 Pro, straight talk (tracfone) sim on Verizon network.
Called straight talk, THEY said I needed to purchase a new sim card. Gave
them my IMEI and they said it was compatible, but you still had to buy a new
sim. On another xda thread, someone said they updated to the beta version
that fixed that issue. I upgraded to the beta and after the reboot my sim
card worked.
So now its offical..its a top reportert issue
Does your Mobile Network use Esim? If so have you asked about moving to it to see if it fixes your issue?
Never had this issue, and neither have hundreds of thousands of other Pixel 7 Pro owners. I'd still suggest it's related to a combination of the phone and network provider and not exclusive to the handset. Otherwise I'd have it too on my Pixel 7 Pro with Vodafone UK.
I had a similar problem and this is how I solved. My phone could not connect with 4g/5g. So I put the network mode on 2g/3g and then I could log in. After that I inserted manually the Internet apn. Hope this helps somehow.
I've had a working sin card for as long as I can remember
You told us: Here's how many polled Pixel 7 owners have reception issues
We asked Pixel 7 owners whether they've had reception and connectivity issues. It turns out that Google has improved matters after all.
