I have a mate 8 NXT-L09. Which rom will work for this model? I already tried three roms: KangVIP-Slim-B352, NXT-L29-B320-STOCK, and TM8B331 and the phone just stop at the stage "Your device is booting now" for more than 10 minutes without continue. Thanks for your reply.
Kangvip works fine

What is your complete model? If it ends by B1xx you can't flash B3xx rom until you update to NXT-L09CxxxB3xx stock rom.

Yes, I follow the procedure update to B3xx first before install custom rom. I am now on KangVIP 368 rom and I am quite happy with this rom. The performance and battery life are quite decent. Even though there is new KangVIP 386 rom I will stay with the current 368 rom for awhile.

ah thanks good to know custom rom is exist for L09. Kangvip is the best for our L09, correct?
by the way, you are not worry about not able to use android pay or (i read) difficulties to re-lock the bootloader in the future?
also where can you get older version of kangvip? i heard 357 is the best
If im on b580 should I downgrade? or there's a kangvip580 version for L09? thanks!
Does anyone know or have any insights about whether Cyanogenmod ROM will be available in the near future for Honor 8 or not? I'm really looking forward to see an AOSP ROM for this devices

It's not the same. From my experience with Kirin platforms, AOSP is easier to get working (since EMUI is based on it).
About the 'near future', no idea, if you want me to talk from my experience, I've been sending Huawei emails since December and I am still waiting lol.
Relax, explore the device, try not to scratch it and wait for the roms.
According to @svetius Huawei is close to releasing the kernel code. It's not everything needed for CM13, but it's a place to start. I'm hoping they are going to provide more than just the kernel, and they provide a device tree and vendor proprietary files as well. I know I'll be trying my hand at building cm13 as the source files are released.

Is there even a difference? Try to find a difference between the FRD-L09 kernel and the FRD-L04 one.
And no, it won't speed up rom development or whatever, we've discussed about that countless times.

Not sure what parts of EMUI is giving you pain, but if it's just the UI you could just change to Nova Launcher or another Launcher for now. I've been using Nova-Launcher since the moment I got it and I think it works great.

Looks promising
Keep faith, but don't hope for too much....
Does this phone really need cm? I don't personally like emui but the phone is such a powerhouse that I can live with it. Plus I use my phone for aleast three weeks as the manufacturer intended. And I'm leaning more on it than past emui software...
WHAT AM IM TALKING ABOUT! BRING ME CM LOL!

PACROM MARSHMALLOW
I am ready to help you fix your device incase something happens (Like losing recovery for example)
This is an unofficial port of PacRom for the z3 compact. The build is not tested and I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device. Your device is your, and only your responsibility
The bugs might be camera, build.prop and maybe even booting. This is a very early build and I am looking for testers who do not use their z3c as their daily driver. I am not able to test these builds due to my device being a daily driver. Please report any bugs that there may be.
The installation process is similar to that of any custom rom.
Use Gapps Pico, only if you want play store.
Installation:
1. Boot to TWRP3
2. Backup current rom
3. Wipe data/ factory reset.
4. Install pacromport.zip (Download)
5. Install opengapps arm pico (6.0)
6. Reboot and pray that it boots.
DO NOT USE WITH SIM !!! RIL not working, using sim might result in sim lock
Credits:
-PacRom Devs
-nelvinchi (XDA Dev- used his cm13 as base)
-GOD
I cannot guarantee that this rom works 100% or that it works at all. I'm asking for testers who can test this rom and tell me about any bugs. If it does not work, do not kill me. This rom was ported from hammerhead and I really doubt that it works. And do not try to install it on any other device, I have turned off assert, so it will not check what device you are using.
Has anyone tried yet? If you have, let me know please.

Well that would be nice as well as camera mods could be applied, because stock Sony rom became boring and a bit annoying. High hopes for an updated MIUI rom anyway

I've managed to port everything. But I want to port the ROM features to stock so I can make it available for LB and UB. But there is only so much I can do now.

I'm almost done with UB. Not sure if it will work however, my ports have usually failed to even boot. That is the reason I am sticking with stock based rons
Wondering if there is a debloated version of Stock OEM Rom for the Honor 8.
I actually don't mind their take on Android OS. It works pretty fluid. The extra options are nice enough and the Camera app is really good. Just want to get rid of the extra bloat, support for better audio codecs.. (viper4android) and some tweaking of certain options.
I haven't seen one around so I thought i'd ask.

You need to go back to your stock rom. Download stock rom of your original model and update using HuRupdater to update your original Rom. And that you will install again twrp and flash any treble rom. I encounter that before when im using morfuz and install another rom, my camera wont work.

Can the OP author provide information what huawei camera's version it is? Is it for instance com.huawei.camera Version 8.0.0.200 or com.huawei.camera Version 8.0.0.301 or what? Also it would be fair if OP author will collect and inform on first page on which Huawei devices with what ROM that huawei camera app works.
