I know Android Pay will not officially work on rooted phones however my phone is not rooted and is pure stock and yet I still get the warning message saying "Android Pay can't be used. Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible"
But why? I never rooted. I used root checker app and as expected it says unrooted. Am using the latest NXT-L29C636B321 Rom.
Help!!!!

i have the same issue like you...
after install B321, android pay cannot add card anymore...keep saying "google unable to verify that your device or the softwre running on it is android compatible"....
regret upgrading via these source.....
never update these links....
huawei is different from Samsung....
update already cannot use android pay.
I know why. Android Pay ONLY works with EMUI 4.0 so you have to roll back to B211 or earlier. That's what I had to do as I was on B321 also.

Seems to be working with Android Nougat Beta.
Because Google hand selects firmwares it deems safe tobuse android pay. You cant expect many chinese phones to work with android pay. Besides, carrying your debit card around isnt too overbearing

Try deleting the cache and data of the android Pay app. Uninstall and reinstall it.

Been using the T-Mobile variant of the LG V20 for a few weeks now. Began porting over my apps to from my old Galaxy S5 the other day. Most went fine, but the DirecTV app is giving me some trouble.
I should add that I've unlocked the bootloader, have systemless root, and magisk V9.0. Using the Stock DeOdexed Flashable rom.
The DirecTV app opens ok. Upon install and first load, it asks for permissions. I grant those, and login with my account info.
THIS is when the error occurs. Login appears to have gone fine, the loading screen comes up, followed closely by Login Failure - Error 0115 - Invalid Siguature.
Google search reveals nothing. Uninstall/reinstall/clear data and cache does nothing. Trying with and without Magisk Hide enabled. No change.
I know the login info is good, as I tried it again on my old S5 without a problem. (Said S5 was rooted, and running the last version of the Area 51 rom).
Help please! Thanks in advance.
I have exactly the same issue, running on a rooted Nexus 6, running root cloak, and it does the same thing.
I also can't find any information about this, I suspect it's due either to having root or that I'm running a CM variant custom ROM.

I would have guessed it was due to having root, but my S5 is rooted, and it works there fine. And my rom is DeOdexed Stock. So who knows. Drives me nuts.
It was actually their last update that broke the app for me. Prior to then I was able to login and use the app on my rooted N6, however after the last update I get this error.

Are you on Marshmallow or Nougat?
I have a t-mobile v20 that is 100% stock and I can confirm that the Direct TV app isn't working for me either.
It just freezes up when it says "loading channels".
The app worked fine before this last update.

If I go back to the previous version of this app 4.7.203 then it works fine.
I have the latest and works fine on vzw variant

Thanks for the confirmation. I was fighting with this and it seems like others share my problem too. Nexus 6P rooted with Pure Nexus 7.1.1. Guess I'll just wait it out. Fortunately I don't use this app that much.
Same problem on T Mobile D851 rooted and Fulmics LG G5 ported Rom.Worked with last version, but can't go back to last version keep saying not supported.

Well I got mines to work.I think what the problem is on some devices that have the app already installed and update to the newest version some how the traces of that version is the reason why the error.
Doing a factory reset got me up and running again.Maybe try that but don't forget to back your apps and stuff.
I also keep it login all the time.

According to an employee post on the AT&T Community forums, the DirecTV app no longer works on rooted phones. I don't care about Android Pay, so I didn't bother with hiding root or my unlocked bootloader. Now that this app is looking too, I may have to dive into hiding mine.

Direct tv and alot of other apps are searching for root. And its definitely from root. A simple google search will show you that.
Furthmore if any screen mirror app is open or present it will also cause it to be blocked. If we can get xposed again xprivacy had some fixes to grab those checks and then send back the right responses. No hdmi only devices can run them either anymore. My tv box development got me versed on this issue. Check out tabfreak.com for some helpful info

And to clarify its not just root. But unlocked devices past 5.0 also have a check to verify the boootloader is locked and secure. Both it .. Root. Being decrypted.. All have to do with this issue.. Its not just freeze 1 service and go kinda deal.
Treat it like googles safety net... It sucks and its gonna get worse.

I'm not saying any of that you just said is not true but it's working on my LG G3 D851 rooted Marshmallow Fulmics ported LG G5 stock Rom.
I also thought that the new Directv Now app checks for root and not the Directv app. They are different.

Still haven't received it but it looks like a junk update.
NRD90M.G935VVRU4BQC5
This software update provides the latest enhancements for Enterprise customers.
One Talkā from Verizon:
The Galaxy S7 edge now supports One Talk, connecting your office and mobile devices with one number.
App update:
Amazon Shopping (version 8.1.1)
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-update/
Edit: I received it and it updated Android security patch level to April
Are you sure that the OTA Firmware isn't actually a 7.0+ Nougat Build? The QC builds that I've seen so far have all been at least base 7.0 Nougat.
I don't have a S7 vzw. Yet. Probably within a few days.

I just checked system updates. There is a new one for me, it include Verizon One Talk and some security updates. Don't k ow if it's QC5. I'm downloading now.

Yep. You can return to stock and keep some directory changes you made by using their desktop Verizon Software Recovery utility for Samsung. You'd lose root but the phone will get and install OTA updates.

Installed and used it for a couple of days. Found, that security changes made all calendar notifications on locked screen to be hidden - "some hidden event" & "some hidden time"
I know we will lose root if we take this update but is the update still rootable? I'm rooted on QA4 still and refused to take this update yet as I just received the notification today(Tuesday 5/2/17). I like being rooted with dual speaker mod,and V4A installed. Can anybody confirm if this version is rootable using the Nougat root method? How can I disable the uodates?

If you go to @jrkruse "root for nougat" thread and follow his guide, you'll be able to root the qc5firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-method-nougat-t3566978/post71275316
I am already on BQC5 and just this morning I got a new system software update downloaded, ready to install message. Odd thing is in the past, prior to BQC5 the notification showed the build number, date and what was changing. Now it doesn't show me anything. It just says there is an update do you want to install now or later.....
Anyone have info on this "unknown" system update?
Looks like this
Software Update G930VVRS4BQC9 for Samsung Galaxy S7 and G935VVRS4BQC9 Galaxy S7 Edge
Android May security update.
Device Stability improvements, bug fixes.
Further improvements to performance.
http://sihmar.com/software-update-g930vvrs4bqc9-galaxy-s7-edge/
Should say further improvements to guaranteeing random lag.
What should I do to get the OTA for EMUI 5.0? I thought this would be available from the get-go but the updater app says "No updates found"
Is there a SIM in the Smartphone? In my case I put it in and an update was found....

Hm, that might have been the case but I guess we will never know. I ended up updating it manually which was a breeze.
Consider this thread closed.
You can use Firmware Finder to get the full OTA package if there is no update from app.
So in google settings i notice it says device certification uncertified? Why its not certified? honor 6x bln-l24 usa model.
Ony thing i did too it was unlock bootloader but i did not root or change anything else.
Clear data & cache for Play store, then reboot.
You lose device certification after unlocking the bootloader, AFAIK.

That says you fail the safetynet test.
This means not every app is downloadable if the programmer doesn't want to.It says: your device is not compatible.
Netflix, South Park, Layton, etc....the list is getting longer and longer.
F*** this safety net sh*t!
Maybe you should try magisk if you're needing any app like this!
dam that sucks than... i might just locked the bootloader again sense im not rooted anyways.. Just dont get why it does that when the bootloader is unlocked even tho i didn't even root yet.....
Sense im waiting till 8.0 comes out before i do any root.
My other device is out of order right now so I switched back to my old Honor 8.
When I did I received 2 updates.
But still did not get 8.0 is it something you a to do manually?
If the L14 is an American model then you won't get it. It's not out. Otherwise, you'll need to update via hisuite for the official way

Personally I gave up on waiting and flashed the unofficial frimware from FF. I'm more than happy with stock Oreo, it's smooth and battery life is amazing (you can tweak each application with more settings than in Nougat). Right now I'll stay on stock but I know I have custom ROM if I get tired of it which is also rly nice
