Hi, just wondering if the file "N8000XXUDNE4" I have seen mentioned for the GT-N8000, is it fully compatible with this Device while I have found a file on a Samsung Update site named "N8000XXUDNH2" which has Australia tagged to the file. Just wanting to get reassured that the 2 files have the same content.

Wayne

Hi Everyone,
I got the Galaxy Note 10.1 as a gift for a friend. While I was checking if everything was working fine, I noticed that there is an option to chose the country for 'software updates'.
The device was bought in Helsinki, Finland and will be gifted to a person who will be moving to the US soon for higher studies. At the moment, I didn't chose any country and just let it be. Can someone let me know what this location choosing is all about for the software update?
For example, If I chose Finland now and later when the device is in the US, will it receive software updates only when there is an update released for Finland? On the other hand, is it fine if we already chose "US" as the country even though the device is still here in Europe?
Thanks in advance. Cheers....
The product code determines witch updates will be available not your choice of country to view the TOS in.

Thanks.
So it doesn't matter if I chose US or UK or Finland now for setting the software update?
But then why does the location need to be set for software updates when starting up a new device?

You are not setting any thing, you are choosing which TOS to read.
Follow up question... if I may.
My Note 10.1 came from HK (N8000OZSALI1) but I see that there are a bunch of 4.1.1 updates for other countries. Can I use those with my Note so I can update it (via Odin i assume) ?
Yep... Via ODIN or mobile ODIN...

thanks ultramag69, i'll update mine right now.
Greetings,
I need a copy of a flashable zip file for the North American release of the stock firmware for my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. I'd prefer 4.1.1 but 4.2.2 will work as well. There were some old links to these stock firmwares on xda but they were all hosted on Hotfiles, a site which no longer exists. Sammobile only has Canadian releases and they didn't work on my tablet.
Please help me out! Thank you.

I need the same thing.
Thanks!
This is the only thing I could help find for you, unless there's someone else out there that knows of a mirror for the official vanilla stock.

Hi Everyone.
I'm currently using a refubrished Galaxy S8 plus, the model is SM-G955U.
As you can guess this is a phone destined for the USA market but currently I'm using it in Bangladesh which is in another continent.
As a result i didn't receive any updates after purchasing the phone and whenever i try to download update manually it says, "Registration Failed"
Can anyone help me to update my phone? I have attached screenshots in which you can see the current software version of the device.
Also if updating to official Samsung software isn't possible then can anyone suggest me custom ROMs for this model!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You should get updates automatically irrespective of your location. Try the site https://firmware.science/ and select your phone and firmware version and follow the instructions .

Failed registration may be because of the fact you aren't using a US SIM card.
U models also.. don't have much custom ROM abilities. It's a locked Snapdragon. You can use firmware sites to be able to download updates respective of the model number.
Hello from Turkey to those of you who loves to share their knowledge to help people. I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy A90 5G (SM-A908N). I have to change the IMEI number of the phone before it is blocked. To do this, I need to install a Samsung combination file on it but the correct combination file has not yet released and seems like it won't while I need it. But there are other combination files available for this model of Samsung Galaxy. The only problem is they are for the phones produced for the different regions of the world; I mean not SM-A908N (which is Korean version of the same model) but SM-A908B, SM-A908F or SM-A908Q. So, what happens if I try to install one of these combination files using Odin, in place of my version!? After all, they are all for the same model of Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. THANKS FOR READING.

We can't help you with anything that involves changing the IMEI, especially in situations where the current IMEI is blocked/blacklisted or is due to be blocked/blacklisted. What you are asking about and attempting to do is illegal in a lot of places.

I see where you're coming from Droidriven. Sorry. I'll update my question...
As the titles says: I'd like to request the firmware files for the Canadian variant from the Samsung Open Source website, as just about every other model has their firmware files uploaded and ready for download. Could somebody please give me some pointers on how to request said files, please? There are a lot of options that I can see leading to something fruitful, but I don't know which would submit the correct ticket.

Doubt that it's possible since North American models are bootloader locked and therefore don't benefit from open source

The USA version is up and downloadable. I've also spotted some A536W firmware files up for download on third-party websites (which seem to be reliable), but I just want to make sure I'm not getting files that've been tampered with in any way, I suppose
