Mate 8 Your device is booting now freeze - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello everyone.
hey mangtas...
pressing three buttons seems not working.
I try to : - this
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
Have trouble after flashing it says sucess, try to fastboot reboot, still get the message your device is booting now. freeze
I´ve heard some people said it work after this Stock rom flash..= L29- B180
I don´t get it.
Is this the only solution? I mean I can only enter Fastboot.

Did you checked if you flashed the right firmware for your variant?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using XDA-Developers mobile app

yes of course. = C432...B180 international
after it says flashing sucesss try to reboot.... thats strange.
What I didn.t mention is I can.t erase the old boot, system, and recovery.img which says
FaiL - Command not allowed.
is there something wrong? windows 10?
http://www.huaweiblog.de/downloads/huawei-mate-8-offizielle-firmware-b180-wird-verteilt/
please check link. thats from these source.

Ok lets try this, unlock the bootloader again using SRKtool Huawei all instruction is inside the software. after sucessfully unlocking the loader install the stock recovery img its also inside the SRKtool..then thats the time try to flash the stock firmware. just give it a try
.

Mangtas, can you check the control panel what device name when you connect your huawei?
- When I try to type Adb devices it doesn.t found ..
Might it be the reason?

Of course I can do fastboot as long Bootlader is not locked. If this not working I will relock and going to send to repair.
=> Can you type adb devices? Is that normal if it is not found? I.m on Windows 10...
I was thinking about why I can.t enter Recovery mode even with the buttons.

Fastboot error

I was on KangVip b168, on my NXT-n29 . Was supposed to return to stock using fastboot to flash Boot, recovery, system and cust. images. But Fastboot didnt work and gave me "FAILED (remote : Command not allowed)
I then flashed the update.zip in twrp and rebooted. twrp was then gone. Now I tried to flash twrp in fastboot but I get the same error. Command not allowed.
Any suggestions ?

2G/3G not working: Version of Marshmallow B831

Hi. Earlier I had lollipop version of android on my Honor 6 phone. A month back, I upgraded to Marshmallow version B831. Since then, I am not able to connect to mobile data. 2G/3G is not working on my phone. Please let me know what should I do.
Also if I navigate to About Phone ->>Status, I can see that Mobile data state is saying as Disconnected.
I think you should back up and do a phone reset

Yes. Download the full update package, then download HuaweiUpdateExtractor
Then. Download Multi tool
And run. Select U to Unbrick. Follow the on-screen instructions to extract the required files from the UPDATE package downloaded. Copy to the Unbrick folder and continue the process. Your phone should be on lollipop at the end.

Is there any tutorial step by step to perform the downgrade process to Lollipop version?
Yes. There are a few in the forums
@iamsonal follow this if you don't want to use Multi Tool
Extract system.img, boot, img, cust.img, recovery.img from the UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool
Flash those files by first booting your device into fastboot mode, and then firing these commands:
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Remember that the command should be executed from the folder where these files are there.
After doing this do the three button update using that UPDATE.APP from which you extracted these files.

Honor 8 Bricked

Hello everyone,
I'm actually in front of a big problem. I try this night to upgrade from FRD-L09C432B120 to FRD-L09C432B316. Since I try it, my phone stay on a Warning screen and i can't do anything. (Just try to shut down by a long press on power button and it make a reboot and it's the same for every key combination).
I can't go in Recovery or eRecovery. The only things that works is the fastboot mode. I try to flash the stock firmware after an extract of "UPDATE.APP" but the system image give me an error. I also try to put UPDATE.APP on the SD Card but I can't access to the update mode (by press vol+ , vol- and power button). I think that i've try all the ideas that i've fund on internet !
I've no more ideas. Do you think that is possible to unbrick it ?
Thanks to your help and your reply.

So it's a failure . which mean that it is a semi flashed update . which doesn't installed update.app .
Extract update.app from ota and put it in dload folder .later flash it manually using dload method .
He should follow this way to overcome those reboots

HONOR 8 Bricked
Hello ,
It happened on my FRD-L04, but I think is the same.
Bootloader is unlocked ?
1. Do you have all drivers installed ? OK
2.Do you have STOCK ROM ? OK. If not, use Huawei Firmare Finder to find suitable ROM. Be aware what you choose !!!
3. Unzipp (WinRar) the ROM.
4.Download and install Huawei Update Extractor. Run Huawei Update Extractor . Choose Update.app from the folder you unzipped the ROM.
5. Select cust.img , boot.img , recovery.img and system.img and extract them on a folder.
6.. Install MultiTool by Team (Multi Tool Team). The instalation will make a folder named UNBRICK.
7. Move the files extracted : cust.img , boot.img , recovery.img and system.img on the folder UNBRICK
8. Run MultiTool . Choose option 6 (unbrick) and after that choose option 2 ( if you already have files on folder UNBRICK)
9. Let the tool finish the job.
NOTE : You must have all drivers installed and the phone in FASTBOOT mode ( turn phone OFF - Press VOL- and insert USB cable simultaneously.)
Good luck !
Hi, thanks everyone for your reply.
Unfortunatly, the dload method seems not work. I think that to run this method, i need to press simultaneously vol+, vol- and the power button to run it, right ?
If it's like that, the method doesn't work anymore.
I will try the process given by technoguy09 and I said to you if it's ok !
So, after many try, every method that i try doesn't work.
Even the Unbrick method doesn't work because the system and cust report an error.
For the cust, i have "partition error" and for the system I have the "sparse flash write failure". Can we correct this error ?

I try at least 3 ROM download on different website. I don't think that it can change anything.
I had the same problem.
Dont worry, Honor 8 phones are nearly unbrickable.
Take your B120 ROM extract recovery, cust and boot partitions. (use huawei update extractor)
Flash Them via fastboot (adb) then force the dload method via the 3 buttons combo.
I had all the problems you described and restored my phone as new. (even the "sparse flash write failure" error)
Now i'm on EMUI 5 rooted, no problem

Leeco Le 2 x526 reboots automatically

My leeco le 2 x526 was working fine until i flashed a custom rom on it. After flashing cutom rom it was working fine but then the custom rom update came and i did that after which leeco le 2 starts and then switches off automatically after loading leeco logo. I have clean wiped the phone and installed several different custom rom's but problem still persists.
I have also tried to flash stock rom via QFIL tool with stock rom images for leeco le 2 x526 which clean wipes the phone and installs new recovery and bootloader and stock rom. After which when i started the phone leeco le 2 logo came and then phone shows the basic setup like language selection and then it again switches off and reboots. and keeps rebooting like this.
I had this problem too just flash with fastboot the latest stock system, recovery, boot, cache, and your phone will start

Stuck on a loop

So after trying to root my device I successfully unlocked my device and installed twrp and magisk through twrp but after trying to reboot into the system, it doesn't. Every time i try to reboot into the system, it just goes into a loading "G" and boots right back into recovery or twrp.

Flash the stock boot.img to both slots. That should get you running again. Then I'd boot twrp then install magisk. I wouldn't try to flash twrp but if you do make sure you flash that before magisk. Then reboot to twrp and flash magisk.

fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
There are two slots you need to flash the image to.

Is the touch screen issue with twrp or when you boot the device itself? I know some people have had an issue with the touch screen not working in twrp.

Yes, it is when I boot the device. When I try to click on "start" to begin the initial device setup, nothing happens. None of the touch input is being received by the device.

I'm not sure why it's doing that. But, if I was faced with that issue I'd first flash the system.img to both slots. And if that didn't work I'd try flashing the vendor.img.

flashed vendor.img and still cant use the touch screen? Touch input is definitely not being recorded. Any other ideas?

Just to clarify, I flashed system to both slots and then vendor. Neither seemed to work.

Have you tried a factory reset on the stock recovery?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I can't get to the stock recovery. When I tried to go there from fastboot, I got a "no command" error. Basically all I can do is go to fastboot mode and either reboot to the start screen where the touch input does not work or power off. I also don't see a recovery file in the source image I downloaded from google.

The boot.img contains the stock recovery as well as the kernel. Flash that.

The no command thing is normal. When you see that screen, push and hold the power button and then, while still holding the power button, press volume up once. That will get you into recovery.
boot.img flashed, factory reset with stock recovery, still can't use the touch screen. This is beyond anything I've encountered in rooting. No clue why this is happening.
