New firmware Honor 6 plus

Today i recieved new firmware b147 replacing b142. I downloaded the file on the phone but the installation stops after 10 procent. The same when i try this using the computer.
Anyone else having this problem ? i live in Belgium.

I too have the same problem. I root permissions .... does anyone know where to try the updated firmware that you can install pramite sd card?

@nortac: Since you downloaded the B147 update, would it be possible for you to upload the update? I am on B142 also, but I do not receive this new update. My phone is not rooted and still locked.
As far as I know, to install an update the phone needs to have stock recovery installed!

You will need stock recovery to update and possibly no root.
Can you upload the update file so we can also update to B148. For some reason i am not getting the update.

I have not received anything . I am still the B142 .

Just successfully OTA updated to version B147.
57.81 MB download, update took 5 min.
Android still v. 4.4.2.
PE-TL10 international unbranded, bought from Amazon.
No unlock, no root.

Updated both my wifes phone and mine to version B147 with no problems, European versions bought from Amazon Germany......looking forward to Lollipop, would like to become a tester but cant see where to do that.

I´ve heard, that this requires an account to hihoner-club

Just received this morning B305 update (1.05GB): Lollipop + EMUI 3.1.
I'm based in Italy and bought the phone on Amazon.it a few days ago (I mailed to Honor I wanted to partecipate in beta testing as per their Facebook page).

B305 is the beta 5.1.1 firmware for the European honor 6 plus.

Unfortunately, I'm going to send back the device to Amazon. Too big for me.
From what I've seen so far, the update looks promising. EMUI has a few aesthetic improvements (in my opinion).

I do not know what that is, but you are probably looking for that:
emui dot com/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=125
If your model is a european device, than I would suggest, you install B142 and than wait for the B147 OTA update.
Use Google search for Pine-TL10_V100R001C900B142.zip

Hi all,
I would like to update to EMUI 4.1 but I am not even able to identify the Mate 8 model I own....
Looking at "Settings", "About", it says :
Model: Next
Build: NXT-C900B12
Looking through the dialer menu (* # * # 2846579 # * # *), it says:
Hardware version: NEXT_TUCL_VN2
This is a 128Gb Mate 8 Dual SIM, bought in China.
Can anybody help me to identify the model and even better which OTA, if any..., I may apply to upgrade to 4.1?

Try flashing an oeminfo from the L29 using http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/development/tool-srk-tool-huawei-t3369797
I had the same problem as you, was trying to transform an AL10 into L29, and after flashing the oeminfo I was able to successfully see it as an L29 device, and as such use the dload method to flash 4.1 (I reverted to 180 though).

I got worse battery life and performance on B320, not sure if that's just me, but I've seen others complain about it as well. I may upgrade when the next build is released, but for now I'm staying on B180.

Honor 8 Frd-L09C185 Ota update query

Hello Fellow Members,
I have bought this phone 2 months back from Abu Dhabi when I was there for vacations. The phone variant as mentioned above is Frd-L09C185. Now I am back in India (Mumbai). I am a bit confused with the OTA updates part. My query is now that I am here will I get the OTA meant for Indian Variant or the EU Variant ( I guess that's what L09 belongs to). Secondly if me suppose to receive the updates for the European Variant will I receive them here in India. I want my phone to be updated to the latest version. My current version is FRD-L09c185B102 where is guess B102 is the os version. Request all you experienced guys to please help clear my query. Thanks in advance.

I think its middle east variant. You won't get Indian version update. As India has FRD-02.

So is there no way to update phone over OTA? I don't wanna do it manually as I don't wanna take a risk of damaging it. I am currently on B102 OS version and when I try to update it I am told there are no updates available. So if my phone is from middle east can't it be updated in India?

You will receive the Nougat update. But it will take more months to reach you are you are in Middle East version (Less prioritized)

Seems that your region got the Bet update version today.
If you are enrolled in Beta, you would have got it - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1278/g104/v68848/f1/full/update.zip
You can try with Charles trick to update this one.

ok. Did you receive this update after coming down to India or while you were in Abu Dhabi?
I had received this update - B130 immediately after the purchase in Dubai in Dec 2016 and after that havent received any update.

Try this don´t worry

Tried the Charles app method.. Quite a few times. The update was just 1.39 GB not the 2.2 gb because of which The update failed and dint try there after. Guess will now have to wait for the official push(sigh). I have no issues with EMUI 4.1 currently and in fact quite happy with it. Just bcos of the eagerness to upgrade don't want to brick the phone, especially since Huawei doesn't have international warranty policy.

Is vote support extended by Huawei to honor 8 FRD-L09 model? I am in India and would love to have the volte feature. As of now on LTE is available. Had read somewhere that VOLTE would be soon provided via software update. Also heard that Indian variant FRD-02 has received the VOLTE support

Does anyone have a download for the official marshmallow ROM?

I've been waiting for over a year for Alcatel to release it OTA in my country but i'm guessing it ain't happening at this point...So I'll just install it manually. But I can't really find the official ROM uploaded anywhere, so I was wondering if any of you have it.
My phone isn't rooted but I imagine I can apply the update without rooting directly from storage, right? After all, it is the official ROM.

Have other Alcatel owners received the OTA update to MM in your country? Have you tried upgrading with the Alcatel upgrade program?

I don't believe anyone else has, but I'm not sure, I don't know anyone personally who has the phone besides me.
I haven't tried the desktop app (if that's what you mean), because I was under the impression that it would only restore my phone to it's default state...Besides I have had troubles in the past trying to get Alcatel's PC suite software to work.

If you use the desktop software, it should upgrade you to the latest ROM.
If the MM ROM has not been released for your phone's country and model #, there will be no official MM ROM for your phone and you will have to flash a MM ROM from another model or country.

Yes, mobile upgrade will take the phone to the latest android version for your model and country.

same case with my Chilean 6045B, blocked at 5.0.2 (with a OTA of oct of 2016)

If the phone doesn't get upgraded to mm via Alcatel upgrade software, there is no official mm for the phone/country.

I'm having similar trouble with my phone
I flashed Lineage 14.1 on my Idol 3 (6045B), and it worked right, but its not detecting my simcard, and it doesn't show an IMEI.
I read somewhere that I'll have to flash the modem, but I dont have the proper file... Did you find any solution?
