settings / sound / power on tone, should also take care of the shutdown tone. in my case the phone is absolutely silent both during boot and shutdown and i have the setting switched off, so...

Has anyone noticed that when the treo is on vibration mode it vibrates for the same amount of time as the ringtone??
So if I have a 30 sec ringtone it will vibrate non stop for 30 secs... and if I put a 5 sec ringtone, it will vibrate for 5 secs, stop and vibrate again. Same thing for text messages...
is there any way of changing that..? It really kills my battery.
I always have my phone on vibrate, but for some reason, after some time, vibrate stops working and it's as if I only had my phone on silent. The vibrate icon is still there, but my phone no longer vibrates on notifications and calls. Is there some behaviour that I don't know about that brings this about? ... is there any way to always have vibrate on?

Do you have one of the power saving modes turned on? What is your battery % at when the vibrate turns off. It may be trying to save power.

No power saving active. It just happens randomly. My suspicion is I may be pressing the volume button up or down in my pocket accidentally, but I can't be sure or if pressing the volume button while locked would even matter.
hi, i just have bought this device nxt-l29 huawei mate 8 64GB edition and i have that problem that the device's volume goes down on its own i use the slider of the volume to lower the volume a little and it just stays there, any time i raise it and make/receive a call it goes back to the lower level. i tried to reset, made the software update nothing helped the only thing that help is that i turn off the phone then again on and the issue is gone for some hours and it just starts again after a while.

I have the Xiaomi Poco 5x pro and when ringing in an incoming call (without answer the call) the screen don't stays closed if power button pressed. The ringtone goes mute, and the screen closes for one second and turns on again.
I want to find a way to keep screen off when phone ringing and i don't want to answer the call.
Any ideas?
I tried what you said and it stays off. (I'm on Taiwan ROM) Maybe try pushing power button with a finger that you haven't registered its fingerprint.
