I'm on a AL10 phone with the L29 C636B320 and I'm having problems with notification for some apps.
I have done the following... And I'm still having problems with notification.
1.

I would appreciate if someone can tell me how to solve this. I was thinking that it was the restoring of apps from Titanium Backup that was doing it, since clearing cache for Tapatalk and reinstalling WhatsApp fixed the issue for those two apps. But for my email apps neither those things helped. Basically I can live with not getting notifications on other apps but Tapatalk, WhatsApp, BlueMail and Outlook are a must for me to be working.

Will try that to in combination with the other things, it's crazy that we have to set up 4 things in four different places to get this to work.

Nope. It removes Huaweis own implementation.

I have the sme problem. but when I got yo protected apps, I found that I do not have most of the appsyou have. I do not have the following apps:
Geo tarnsfer - Minima Pro - Clock sync - Droid stats - Greenify.
So, pls can you tell which apps in your list that may fix email notifications ?
I am on NXT-L29C185B180
thanks.
lol, its not about which apps u have or have not installed just look for the app that doesnt work in YOUR case concerning notifications (thus, the email app!) and set that one to be left running after the screen is off

Rename the otacerts.zip file in /system/etc/security (from memory - looks correct).
Why do you want to freeze it?

I use 4.4.2 with the 4.4 radio. Zero issues. I do think the new baseband uses a little more juice, but not a lot more.

I did mine a little different way, when you have the system update notification icon, swipe down to get to the quick menu, hold the tap on the system update notification bar, and a little bar with "app info" will show up, tap that and then uncheck "show notifications". no more annoying icon telling you to update.

Uh Google services framework handles way more than ota updates. Don't think you want to disable notifications on that.

Can you give me an example of what important notification I would be missing? Disabling notifications doesn't stop Google Services Framework from running. According to my research, there are but one or two other notification dialogs associated with Google Services Framework, and they aren't very informative. I have been using this method for my last 3 phones and haven't missed being notified of anything necessary for me to use my phone.
Servicely ----> Go Check it Out
I am sharing this because some of you on Lollipop may not know of it or were using greenify with xposed. Great news, this app works better, less resource intensive and you have more control.
- Screen off only option
- Custom App hit list
-Custom service hit list
-control service check intervals
- XPOSED NOT NEEDED
"If you're rooted you'll be able to select which services or apps you wanna kill automagically. The app runs a simple service every X seconds (default is 60s) and checks if those services that you've selected are alive. If they are - BOOM - good night. A small detail though, if that service or app is running on the foreground this app won't kill it. It's a small safety measure because you don't want apps that you're using to close on you."

You just install the app, it has root priveledges and it runs every minute by default, killing the app or service that you define so its not running in the background. Use this in tandem with app ops as you can disbale keep awake on all apps of your choosing. It's similar to greenify except you don't need xposed. You have to ensure you have it enabled and to set on boot
does it work with GCM like greenify? can you get notification from hibrenated apps?

I don't know what GCM is, however it's the same concept as greenify, just doesn't require xposed.... Tinker around with the settings you may be able to get notifications

...yes, I am a few months late to this party... LOL
I've installed Nova prime on my new mate 9 and have one issue left. When I put a direct dial icon on a page and try to launch it I get permission denied.
If I do a icon that does a message it works.
Not sure what to do here.
I have the same issue with nova launcher.... I have managed to find an app will do the same job exactly try it out. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codificador.speeddial

Will give it a try thanks.
The app suggested works OK.
Ur welcome

I have or had the same issue and solved it with an app as well. Although I never understood the problem. I even wrote to the Nova Launcher guys but they blame it on the Mate 9 - which I find hard to believe, since the SMS direct widget works.
If someone else has any other suggestions I'd welcome them, since I would like a direct dial without a third party app.

I can tell you it works on other devices. I am betting that the dialer doesn't set the proper permissions to be requested from nova. This is why that dev said it was the oem fault.

I know, I used Nova on my S5 and Note 4 for years .... that's why I'm so dissapointed that it doesn't work on my Mate anymore.
Would be interesting if other launchers have the same issue with the dialer? They should if it's really the OEM fault....

Hi,
Had the same problem with my Mate 8 and now Mate 9.
On my Mate 8 I managed to bypass the problem by changing to the Google Contacts app widget on the homescreen. That one now is missing on the stock ROM from Mate 9.
Will try to find another app.
Regards
A new update for nova launcher fixed the quick dile shortcut

I had the same issue, simply deleted the dialer from homescreen and copied the dialer from the drawer menu (which was working). That solved it for me.

This app will hide content of your notifications and show it only when it recognizes your face!
It supports OP5/5T/6/6T (and maybe more, go test it out!)
App is in beta stage.
App have it's own thread in OnePlus 6 Theme, Apps and Mods.
Device specific question (OP5T) can be asked here, other questions via OP6 thread.
Tried this on treskmod it doesn't work for me. CMIIW pretty sure only work on OOS. Neat app tho. Always wanted this feature. Right now I'm using tasker to achieve similar function

The adaptive battery setting is located in the battery tab/more battery settings and the auto optimization will now reboot/close background apps and clean memory when you are not using your phone since the Beta 1 or 2. You don't really need any scheduling let your phone decide it's pretty smart now -give it a chance to prove itself haha. Cheers
