G900P 6.0.1 OTA Update Problem!

Hi Everyone
i have an S5 (G900P) and yesterday i had an update to Android MM 6.0.1
Everything works great but the only problem is before the update i had a GSM signal, and After it, it lost the connection and i can`t make or receive calls
Does anyone knows how can i fix it?
I have the same problem....would love for some help too
Are you saying that you're not able to use GSM while traveling internationally? Have you done the basic stuff, like going to Settings=>More Networks=>Mobile Networks and switching the network mode to GSM? Then make sure the roaming settings are correct? Also, it's always a good idea to update the phone's profile (Settings=>System Update) after a firmware update.
Hopefully one of these suggestions fix the issue...

6.0 is a major update , personally i always recomend doing a factory reset after the update to start fresh and avoid problems.
I have a different problem when i go to settings and try to use toolbox or edit my notification panel which no longer displays i get error settings stopped working.
This has happened a dozen times since update a week ago

You can fix it buy going to the dial pad and pressing
*#*#4636#*#*
And going to phone information and edit the signal from there

What makes you think so? What additional features or improvements does B522 offer over B514, or for that matter on B511?
For me B514

B514 is definitely the best. A lot of bugs in B511 were fixed. The B522 is the worst IMO. A lot of features were removed/missing.
Eg. No huawei Swype keyboard. No 5x5 layout and so on. The only positive thing done on B522 is that the android security patch level was updated to 1 March 2016. Like seriously, who does that even help?
For me b514 is the best...I m using since release this version without any issue...but its also depand on what version u want to upgrade on, like I update on B324 official lollipop version, I recommand do not update from beta mm one...first find out which lollipop rom stable for ur device then update on it...

i noticed b522 have the additional secondary security permission, which give you control over apps that wanted to launch other apps. for example facebook want to launch twitter in which we can denied. i think this is major

5x5 layout is available in B522, but no 4G toggle and "4G only" option in network search. In B514 these features were available.
Thank you so much guys for all your answers

4G only option is useless. Why? Well because you CANNOT make or receive calls if your network provider doesn't support VoLTE. Only small number of providers support VoLTE.

The best is Kangvip B555a V2 . I just installed it on Friday and Iam liking it so far. Folks that have not tried it yet should try it.

I beg to DISAGREE with you. Actually, the '4G only' option at least for me and many other users of the dual SIM feature of Mate 7 TL10 is very important for those who live in areas with weak 4G/LTE signals. Some networks have very good 4G/LTE data packages but not very good 'call and text' package. That's one of the main reasons for us in choosing the dual SIM Mate 7 TL10. My data only SIM is always on '4G/LTE only'. The '4G/LTE only' setting ensures that the connection stays there in most areas even if the signal is weak. Yes, I will not be able to receive calls in that data SIM but I don't use it for that. I use the 2nd SIM slot for my 'call and text' SIM which is a different network with superior 'call and text' package compared to my first SIM which is much better in providing good 4G/LTE package only. It's the best of both worlds actually, and not having a '4G/LTE only' as a choice is a BIG DEAL breaker for me and for most other users who live in places where the 4G/LTE signal is weak but very fast while the alternative 3G option has strong signal but is horribly slow. The 'LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto' setting will not cut it for us because it defaults to the slow 'WCDMA' signal most of the time when the phone senses the 3G signal is significantly stronger than the LTE signal.

Well it makes sense for dual sim TL10 as you elaborated. But it doesn't makes sense for TL09.

'LTE only/4G only' option IS AVAILABLE for B522, well at least if you have the TL10. See my other reply to this post for my comments on the various marshmallow releases for the mate 7 TL10.

I have a Mate 7 TL10, and I've tried all 'TL10 compatible' flavors of Marshmallow on my Mate 7 TL10: B511 beta, B512, B514, B522
1. B511 - beta software, still has the camera bug (effects preview is scrambled);
YES, has option for 'LTE only/4G only'; Android patch level: Jan 2016
2. B512 - similar to B511 but camera bug is already fixed; NO option for 'LTE only/4G only'; Android patch level: March 2016
3. B514 - similar to B511 but camera bug is already fixed; YES, has option for 'LTE only/4G only'; Android patch level: Feb 2016
4. B522 - similar to B511 but camera bug is already fixed; YES, has option for 'LTE only/4G only'; Android patch level: March 2016
The best Marshmallow for my TL10 based on my experience with all 4 of the above is B522.
It has the camera bug fixed; has option for 'LTE only/4G only' (not like B512 and ALL Lollipop firmwares),
and has the latest Android patch level: March 2016.
However, some bugs are still not corrected. 'Status bar apps' like 'date in status bar' which are supposed to display the date
in real time do not display the current date; only the app icon is displayed. Also, the 'download' icon is 'static' rather than 'animated'.
I noticed that in the Mate 8 on official marshmallow firmware, the same observations are also existing... So I guess 'Huawei'
considers both things 'features' rather than 'bugs'... possibly to mimic IOS?
The 'hide navigation bar' option can be enabled if you downgrade to lollipop/kitkat first and enable it to be 'hidable' in those
earlier firmwares before upgrading to any marshmallow firmware. However, a factory reset after the update to marshmallow
will cause the feature to be lost again. I guess it is another 'feature' rather than a 'bug' because I also observed that in Mate 8
(on official factory/stock marshmallow firmware); the navigation bar is not hidable in any way in the Mate 8's stock marshmallow
firmware. You have to root the mate 8 to enable the navigation bar to be hidden. At least, for mate 7, we have an option to hide
it even in marshmallow - no root required. Just don't factory reset after that.
Also, I hate it that Huawei disabled multiple accounts in its official software. Multiple accounts were offered since Lollipop and it
is one of the very useful features of android. You can have more than one account with each account having its own wallpaper,
apps, photos. No longer will you have to worry about kids rearranging icons, accessing your phonebook, affecting your games progress,
etc. It's like the multiple user accounts in a Windows PC. Cheap smartphones have it so I can't understand why you have to root
your mate 7 to have the very useful feature. Again, Huawei probably likes to copy's IOS' shortcomings and call them 'features' the
way Apple does on its phones.

Well, I have TL10 model but no 4G only and no LTE only options.
Dear all,
My ver MT7-TL10C900B514. i download B522 but see in pdf this ver only for MT7-L09C900B331 and MT7-L09C432B513. what wrong with ver, title for MT7-TL10? Can i upgrade my phone to B522?
Thanks.
It seems we have a different build number for B522. Mine is MT7-C900B522, and model number is JAZZ. It was originally 'MT7-TL10'
before the marshmallow update (coming from Lollipop B326).

Huawei should work harder in software department, it's very confusing for users.
Multi user is still available on marshmallow. You just need to edit your build.prop and add the following lines
fw.max_users=3
fw.show_multiuserui=1
Save and reboot

FRD-L19 Android 5.1

Hello All,
I have received from Huawei model Honor 8 in gold. What is concerning me is that he has EMUI 3.1 , Andoid 5. Update app showing that there is no update for me. Support center is sending me to stationary service center but I don't have any invoice because it is a gift.
I have 2 problems to solve and that is why I am asking You to help.
1. How to make an update if in setting my phone number is VAT-L19 (compile VAT-L19C900B019-log) but it's logging to operator as FRD-L19. Where can I find clean and full firmware for it with Android 6? I don't need to have two sim cards.
2. Default stock app for SMS (com.android.mms) is consuming huge amount of data transfer. Even if I am using Textra as default it still using mobile internet data (around 10-20MB per day) and not from WiFi but from mobile during Wifi connection. Maybe this thing has to do something in common with number 1.
Please help me with this.
Thx
Lucas
20mb a day isnt a lot on mobile... but you can turn off mms autofetch and that should stop the data
Did you look at this thread? I'm totally new to Honor 8 (Nexus person all the way), but as I'm learning, I came across the thread I linked.

Hiboard feed not loading

I just bought a p20 (c636) and hiboard is not loading news feeds properly. If im not connected to the internet, hiboard shows blank cards that asks me to connect to a network, but when I do the cards just disappears aside from the weather and pedometer.
Already googled for solutions and i've already tried to clear the data and force closing hiboard to no avail. Does anybody have a fix for this?
Having the same issue on P20 Pro (C636). Have you solve / fix this issue yet?
I already went to their service centre. Unfortunately they dont have any solution for this. Might as well wait for new emui update for them to fix this bug. Huawei emui sucks.
After the last update, this problem has been solved
