So I purchased http://www.ebay.com/itm/252241745857?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (hasnt arrived yet)
figuring it would support the nexus 6p rapid charging, but from what I'm hearing here, maybe it doesn't do that.
So I have a couple of questions:
1. Does the above charger support the nexus 6p's rapid charging or not?
2. If it does not, could you please guide me on a way to look for rapid chargers on ebay or Ali Express? Amazon does not ship to Israel.
Thanks in advance!! :cyclops:
1 - Yes, it does. As it has 5V 3A, it will rapidly charge the 6P.

Nice!
Using the 5V 3A principal, Will this charger also rapidly charge?

yes, that's the oem adapter that ships with the 5x

Hi
I planing to get this for my car : http://www.iottie.com/Product/Detai...roid-DNA_8X-and-Other-Qi_-Enabled-Smartphones
And my question is with normal wireless charge, will I be able to use and still charge the device? Or it will do like a cheap usb cable barely charge and power slowly going down?
I email those guy see if they plan to have a fast charging model this is what I got from them :
"Thank you for contacting us. At this time we do not offer a fast
charge Qi product and do not have any upcoming plans to release one.
The Easy One Touch Wireless will work with your device but will charge
at a normal rate."
considering they are not specifically mentioning that it supports quick charge 2.0 or w/e the fast charge capability is, i'm going out on a limb and assuming its putting out no more than 1000mah which means "slow" charge 1 amp charging isn't too bad. It may not top you off, definitely wont do it in a hurry, but should at least keep it steady while the phone is in use.

No problem at all with the GPS. Isnt your car window blocking your signal?
I always use gps on my phone. Never had any gps issue ever.

It seems that wireless charging never works as quickly as just using a cable and a car charger that puts out a high amount of amperage...
Is there any Qi car charger that can offer the same charging speed as the genuine Qualcomm wired charger ?

Good but little expensive
I just bought the Aukey's Dual-USB Turbo Car Charger, for 10 euros on Amazon (I cannot post a link because I have not posted enough messages yet)
Not expensive, small and support fast charging.
I have not received it yet but I could come back for my feedback if you are interested in.
Just ordered:

Yes, exactly.
I contacted Anker regarding their upcoming Type-C battery packs and they said they should be available this week. Here is the email response:
Thanks for contacting Anker support.

I hope so, I have 2 Anker QC 2.0 battery packs now (I and a third one but sold it with ym Zenfone) so I'm happy to get some more battery packs. They are great for when you travel or when I goto class and I'm there for 12-14 hours and don't want to find an outlet.

Anker's launching usb type c devices, which will fast charge as per the spec for the N6P. QC is nothing to do with it.
This has huge potential as the usb c spec allows for 100w so if that's used to charge the battery it should charge super fast allowing you to fill a 15000 mah battery real quick! My only concern will be price.

I don't think any battery pack will charge at the full 100W standard. The Chromebook Pixel only uses 60W to charge so I doubt the battery pack will use over 20W. Heat is an issue when charging at such high rates so there needs to be some form of balance. The Nexus 6P seems to be limited to 15W judging by the charge its too bad QC 2.0/3.0 aren't supported because I have a ton of QC 2.0 chargers and batteries.
For clarity I'm saying the pack itself should charge at max rates which would allow a 15000 mah pack to charge in an hour or so vs the 3-5 hrs they take now.

There are battery packs that support fast charging of the battery pick itself. I have an Aukey one that does and it charges in 2 hours for a 10000mah pack. I haven't really timed out but it's fast from what I've seen.

I just tried my 2nd gen E4 and with the usb a-> c cable that came with the 6p and it only does slow charging
I hope they do USB-C fast charging but also have a port to do regular QC2.0 from so I only need one battery pack for my two devices.

That's bit rapidly, my 5x says the same thing pulling 420ma to 1.5A. It's a bug and I've tried 3 aftermarket cables on 6 chargers even one that can output 5V 4A and a A to C cable won't hit above 1.7A even with my phone at 3%battery
Here is an updated status on the battery packs:
Thanks for writing back.
We are very sorry to inform you that due to manufacturing challenges, the USB Type C external battery has been postponed, the delivery date will be next month and you should be able to order it on Amazon in the first week of Nov.
Apologies again! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi,
I'm finally going to order my nexus 6P. Since I'm living in an EU country, I'm looking for a compatible Eu Plug charger.
I've found a One plus 2 charger on eBay, has someone had any experience charging his 6P with those?
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222050112759
Thanks!
Its only 2A.
UPDATE 12/17/2016 Charger still works great no issues with it and my Pixel XL
Here is the detailed testing review information http://lygte-info.dk/review/USBpower Blitzwold USC-C car charger BW-C3 UK.html
Here you can find more detailed testing reviews on other usb devices http://www.lygte-info.dk/info/indexUSB UK.html OR http://lygte-info.dk/info/ChargerIndex UK.html
UPDATE 11/23/2016, mentioned this charger to Nathan K, and he linked me a review done by HKJ http://budgetlightforum.com/node/45176.
COMMENTS: "He felt it was "a bit too powerful". Translation (and my opinion): it lacks overload protection safeties, avoid.
"No individual port overload protection."
UPDATE 11/15/2016: I tested with my Pixel XL and it handles 1400-1450mA in port (A) using stock a-c cable and 1450-1530mA in port (c) cabled usb-c..
UPDATE 11/12/2016; This morning I plugged in at 66% on phone, ampere showed the charger feeding 2400mA. This is as fast as my zerolemon QC wall charger on my lg g4.

I just found this deal on slickdeals and I am just posting the deal here if anyone wants to take advantage. I ordered 3 myself. But do not know anything other than that about the product or the site selling them. Use/Order at your own risk!
FIY: I don't think this is capable of charging the Pixel at 18w max, but it should be able to do it safely at 15w (5v 3A). It supposedly can't handle max charging two devices either. It has a permanently attached USB C cable and a USB A slot.

I was wondering if all the Nexus 6p chargers I got were the same.... From what I understand, the Pixel XL is QC 3.0 compatible which is 9v/2a = 18w, while Nexus 6p chargers are 3v/5a which is 15w.
Would it be better to use QC3.0 chargers instead of the same ones used on the Nexus 6p?
I wish we had some clear answers on all his T_T
The pixel is not QC compliant. While the amperage and the Volt's might be compatible it charges a little different. QC 3.0 is a Qualcomm thing. I can't explain the details but I know they are different.

The pixel does not have Qualcomm 3.0 compatibility even though it does have the hardware capability
Instead uses the USB C standard with power delivery.
In other words for a charger to Supply the maximum of 18 Watts to a pixel XL it needs to be PD power delivery compatible.
Otherwise it will use standard charging capabilities up to 5 volts 2.4 amps with proper cable
Thanks! I was asking because I saw this info come out today that the Pixel is capable of only 15w charging while the Pixel XL is capable of 18w. Does that mean if I am using my old Nexus 6p chargers, I am getting a slower charging speed than if I were using the charger that came with the Pixel XL in the box?

Correct
Unless your old Nexus 6p Chargers are compatible with PD Power delivery they will act and charge like standard dumb Chargers
The new mac book 12", pixel c and a few other devices used the same PD Power delivery their charges should be 100% compatible with pixel XL
Hmm so my Nexus 6p charger shows rapid charging, when plugged into my PXL

5v 2.4A 12w and or 5v 3A 12w / 15w is "fast / rapid"
What does the app Ampere report? Mind installing and taking a screenshot?
How about the other way around, how would a Pixel charger affect the Nexus 6P? Is it fine to charge for several minutes?
I used my Pixel charger to charge my Nexus 6P from about 40% to 100% and it showed rapid charging. Took about the same time it would take for my 6P to charge on it's factory charger. Haven't tried the other way around yet but I'll try it and see how it goes.
