First thank you for taking the time to look at this thread. Now, as the title states, is there ANY way to torrent on Android 6.0? I don't use torrents for piracy. If you look at my user name, I went from one end of the country to the other, and through trial and error, we found torrents the best way to share large picture albums. We don't use Facebook, or any social media as we like our pictures to belong to us. Anyway, I'm getting off track. Android 4.4 and below, torrents were easy. There were multiple options to choose from. Come Android 5.1, the only client I found to work was Flud. Now my phone is running Android 6.0 (cm13) and I cannot find one client that will work. My brother just had a new baby, and I REALLY need to be able to download his pictures. Can ANYONE help me? Has anyone found a way to torrent on 6.0?

As some may know, I am working on a dedicated Evo website.
The biggest feature will be my file distribution system.
I hope for it to be the first of it's kind, it will both upload the file and create a torrent of it.
This allows the file download to be stream by both means.
If anyone is interested in obtaining upload access I am accepting requests.
My only requirement is you have unique Evo related files to offer (ROMs, Boot Screens, etc).
This is still in development, but should be complete and ready for testing within the next 24 hours.
Sounds like a good idea, but please don't use torrents. P2P technology is a horrible way of sharing development files for a number of reasons, the main one being version control. If someone wants to download a file straight to their EVO, a torrent will be of no use to them.
Just my .02.
Usenet ftw!

There will be direct links on the servers to the files alongside the torrents.
I may do a simple browser check to only allow direct downloads from mobiles.
I really want to encourage torrents with web seeds, it's never been done before!
Anyways a status update ~ IT NOW WORKS!
I just got uTorrent to download a file without any user seeds and it went through like a champ.
I honestly don't think anyone has created such an automated system, I am quite proud of myself!

TalkEvo.com
If want to check it out, I've got the new radio update in there.
You can see for yourself how streamlined downloads are.

I like your idea for using http as a backend for torrents if there are no seeders. I have actually thought about this method many times in the past, I never thought someone would of put it all together into a working method. CONGRATZ MAN!!! This would of been so useful in the past when I was working on a couple warez/script websites/forums. You should jazz this script up and make it a little more customizable, maybe with a simple admin cp, and then release it to the script community, people will love you! I know I do!
that's pretty genius, i like it. Good job! Should make an excellent way to distribute EVO Files!

Have you heard of BitTorrent DNA? It is made by BitTorrent Inc. for exactly this sort of thing. You host a file on your HTTP server and BitTorrent DNA creates a torrent for it. Users download from each other when there peers available, but otherwise they default back to your server.
Hi,
Just have a noob Android user question.
Like for winmo devices, there are a lot of sites where we get commercial games and apps crakced and for free.
Is something like this possible for Android as well?
P.S. I don't mean anything wrong, but just something came to my mind. I still support the android app developers by buying the apps.
Sure
Android is a bit of a unique community.
Yes, you'll find them. You can find packages of 100's of them on your usual torrent sites, newsgroups, etc.
And sometimes, as a member of this community, you'll find developers post their .apk on the board, simply to retrieve feedback.
But we want Android developers to thrive - therefore we buy our apps if we can.
And please do so as well.
Thanks for the response.
good to know!
Hi there everyone!
I'm running a magazine just now. At the moment we have a hard copy and a pdf copy for users to read online. However, we were thinking about making things more interactive so decided to try out two new ideas.
The first we were looking at was to make the magazine interactive. So, instead of just reading the magazine, users could actually click on adverts or articles for more information and etc.
The second, we were hoping to develop some sort of app for the Android market. Where users can download and read the magazines content through their phone.
Was wondering if anyone could give any suggestions on how to go about either of these ideas? What type of programming tools would we have to use?
Kind regards
RT.
Sorry that I had to post here, but I don't have enough posts to post on the other boards.
I was trying to basically get specific links to developing apps for Android, Windows Mobile 7 Live, and iPhone and links for the image requirements
I have two apps that I am interested in developing. One if pretty similar to direct uses to a website to sign in. However I would like to know if it is possibly to have some real estate (preferably at the top) to add a link to my website.
The other, is basically an app to build for my RSS feed to my blog. I would also like to maybe have some real estate at the top to promote my URL. Both apps are free.
From what I have been trying to read, some marketplaces do not charge anything for free apps and some charge something. I was wondering if it might be easier to get a developer that has an account and can develop the app / submit it as well?
Thank you!
Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and this is my first post
I have a Huawei Ascend Y320 (Android 4.2 Jellybean, dual-core processor etc), and I have heard that it is possible to run iOS on an Android device.
I have seen a similar thread discussing this topic... but the 'how-to' link in the thread does not load the desired page
I have also found this through a Google search 'iosonandroid' However the page forces one to make purchases for products and services that I don't want and don't furthermore trust.
So, that brings me back to my question, can one run iOS on Android...?
Please don't knock me for this, as though I quite like Android OS, I need to access iOS apps, such as 'iMovie', and other similar video editing/movie making software.
Android has many apps for such purposes, however, most are merely clones of Androids' stock Movie Maker, which has limited abilities, and can be quite buggy. I have managed to find a couple of great video editing/movie making apps on Google Play, but I would still be keen to be able install iOS apps to broaden my capabilities.
Any constructive help would be much appreciated
Cheers,
Harry
I'm going to answer your question quickly before someone thinks it'll be funny to troll you.
Sadly I will have to say, you cannot run iOS on Android, some developers have found a way to run iOS apps on Android but they haven't released much info on that.
The sites that say, you can run it. They're all bullcrap and just want you to register and fill out surveys. If there was iOS for Android, I'm sure it'd be on YouTube, and here on xda.
So again, you can't run iOS on Android.

Thanks for that Glad I got a 'straight to the point' answer from you, I really appreciate that.
I have seen evidence of heavy trolling on other threads... which makes it extremely difficult for people like myself trying to work out a solution to a query or problem.
And yes, I did wonder about the survey/register blah blah spam on the 'iOS on Android' website. I am glad I did not go through with the process, as it seems especially dodgy considering there is no way of contacting the dev....
Exactly, and the thing is, there is no specification for the device. It just has pictures of samsung and htc phones with the iOS screenshot and then the requirements on the page is based on Android OS versions... And it supports eclair. Lol.
Maybe sometime in future some smart developer will figure out how to run iOS on Android.

You Cannot frun IOS on any android device!! the most you can do is use a launcher or try few apps that (i guess) emulate ios apps
