Hi guys,
So I repartitioned samsung galaxy s2 for more internal storage but after that I couldnt use my SDCard. I could still flash ROMS and GApps but instead of selecting the /sdcard0 directory in order to flash ROMS i had to select /sdcard1 after that. If I try to open /sdcard0 it says it can't be mounted. I've tried flashing the default pit file and it wont do anything either. I've tried CM12.1 (which I had no problems with before repartition), and reflashed it several times. At the moment I have CM13.0 and the SDCard is listed in Storage & USB settings but below it says "portable storage" and "sdcard0 corrupted". My main problem is that I can't download things on the phone because it says "no external storage available" even in the gallery (camera app doesn't even start). I would be fine with just being able to download images from the internet as Google Play works well (but if i have to download additional content for games they don't download for the same reason above)
Hi,
If you let me know what model number of S2 you have, I can move your thread to your device section so the experts there can help! :good:
Thanks!

Hello everydody, I am experiencing some difficulties with my Samsung, model GT-I9003-phone which "dropped off a lorry" somewhere next to my relatives somewhere in Asia. When I goth the device, it was in a non-working condition, except a boot-loop and the download-mode. Back then, I had the package of the phone where the exact version ( I don't know if this is what is called "Baseband" or at least is called baseband at my wife's GT-I5003) was specified. So, back then, I was able to find the exact ROM for the device. Unfortunately, the box with the version number now is - somewhere.
After flashing a stock-rom, I managed to enter recovery-mode where I read something about the internal memory being corrupt. As far as I can recall, I then mounted the external SD-Card and somehow managed to reboot the system back to almost normal operation. Even reboots appeared to work normal, besides the fact I had no memory access, neither to internal nor to external sd. In addition, GPS malfunctioned, too.
Unfortunately, even this state didn't last for long time. After several weeks of now-and-then-use, the system just broke down again into a boot-loop. After some time of flashing a variety of stock roms, I managed to flash clockworkmod recovery which works perfectly well. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to root the phone before it "collapsed" again. Besides the possibility, I'd guess this could be a resaon for CWM being unable to flash a custom rom? Otherwise, I'd just test my way through the varieties of versions .
Basically, I do have two questions: 1. is there a possibility to find out if internal memory has failed - and if yes: How?
2. Is it possible to install any version of CM on that phone in the condition it is in?
Thanks a lot in advance for any answers
Hello everybody, I finally found the box . It reads GT-I9003MKDTHL. Is my assumption right that there are no such things as basebands in the GT-I9003 any more and I should be able to flash pretty much any firmware? Furthermore, today I tried to format what is specified as "sd-card ext" in CWM fir GT-I9003 and it gives me an error-message. When I flash "sd-card", my external sd-card gets formatted. So, I'd presume the internal sd is just fried. I read about a workaround for GT-I 9000, where someone installed Androd on a partitioned external SD. Is there somebody who knows someboy having heard about somthing similar working with the GT-I9903?
One step forward...
Hello everybody, I finally managed to get some light into my issues as I once again figured out how to get a software installed and running . It's this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200
Thanks a lot to the guy who just posted it somewhere where id could do good...
By the way, I figured out that this software actually includes the Baseband.
As in this version, the original recovery system is running and giving me an error message when I start it without external SD-card, I am now quite sure that the internal memory has just failed as this error message was specified in another posting of someone who had a similar issue with a GT-I9000.
The biiiig "Outch" is, that I am unable to install any CWM Recovery System with that Baseband..This results in me not being able to upgrade the software to ICS, where - as far as I read some troubleshoot-information - will enable me to mount an additional partition on my SD-Card as Data-Partition which isn't possible yet (i.e.: I can't access my SD for storing data or whatever - it's just specified as "not there").
I tried to install the XXKPE-Baseband to be able to go for KPQ which would enable me to install CWM Recovery. I also installed Bagarias CWM-normalboot-image via Heimdall - but I was unable both to boot the OS and to find any trace of a zip-file on the SD-card.
Edit: I managed to install the right CWM - it's mentioned in the post where I've got the firmware from... now, I only have to figure out how to deal with the fact that "officially" there is no SD-card inserted - or, better, that this SD-card is now flagged as "internal SD" - and how that machine can find the zip-file on it
Thanks for every bit of help with that issue
Try Aroma File Manager with Terminal
For SDCard issue you could probably switch them in vold.fstab in /system/etc
Good Luck !!!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not a moderator please move it to the right place.
I rooted my Samsung GT-S7580, following the tutorial on this forum, everything went ok. After rooting I wanted to use an app called GL to SD (tried FolderMount first but it didnt work due to some faulty thing) after I opened it it said that it needed to change some folder/files issues and rebooted.
Now I can;t access "device storage" anymore, can't install anything. If I plug in the USB cable all I can see is the external sd card and Phone 127MB/128MB but if I open it's empty. I cant copy anything to either locations. Same thing with the phones file explorer I can only access the external sd card, if I click "Device Storage" it's empty for a second then it backs up.
I did a factory rest ... same thing. Please tell me there is a way to fix this and I didn't just make my phone a paper weight.
I can still use odin and android recovery system.

Iif this isn't a Note 3 (N9005) you aren't going to get any help here...
Each device has its own way to root and different recovery. If you flashed something from this forum in all likelyhood you have (possibly) bricked your phone...
My suggestion would be to find your stock rom and flash that... Then (hope you backed up) wipe everything and try again...
I used a tutorial for my phone model and like I said the rooting went fine. I was able to install and uninstal apps, even rebooted it a few times. The problem was after that gl to sd app did something to my file system. Most things still work, I'm on it right now. It seem that I can't access its internal memory

Going to need a little more details than that ...
Anyway it seems that I can install apps if I transfer their apk on my sdcard on another phone and then put the sd card in my samsung, I installed es file explorer and I can access some parts like /sdcard/ but not /storage/emulated/legacy that one is "not found", maybe it's a permission issue?
Start gl to sd.
Then click top-right corner(three dots).
Press "Restored samsung".

I would do that, if I could find some place to download gl to sd apk .. I can't install using google play and seems all links lead there.
EDIT: The newest version I could find (2.2.0) only has "move data". "Show mounted folders", "Purchase PRO" and "Setting" under those 3 dots and none of these show a restore setting or any mounted folders.
Please update v2.2.22
Only new version has this feature.

I poked around more and it seems the only place I can;t access is /storage/emulated (it's empty). Added some screenshots

I have the same problem, but the system writes "Not enough memory to install applications". Installed via Google Play, through the apk files - nothing works. Does anyone know what exactly this program is changing? I am excruciated wildly. I do not want to reflash the phone.
Hello,
Phone: Samsung Galaxy trend light "Fresh" (GT-S7390)
Android: Jelly Bean 4.1.2
(sorry for bad english)
yesterday i've installed foldermount in order to transfer some games from internal SD to the SD card,
when i've launched the app, it said that "some files are corrupted press ok to fix" so i pressed ok, then it said "restart your in order to use foldermount properly" so i restarted my phone.
here when i tried to open the sdcard folder, it shown that there is no folder "empty".
i've tried every thing to access to these subfolders in sdcard0, but i failed.
so i've wiped all the system, data, cache...etc, to install a stock rom downloaded from samsung-updates.com, using odin 3.09
when it finished i've turned up my phone, it said that there is no space available, when i go to the storage settings i find that :
total space 4Go
system's memory 1.6Go
apps 105Mo
Audio 0.092Mo
Misc. 2.16Go
Available space 139Mo
but the problem is when i connect the phone with pc, i see (in windows 7 x64) that the phone has only 2.84Go
4Go minus 2.84Go equal 2.16Go
tadaaaaa
so there is an unused or used (i don't know) space in my phone that i can't access to it
please help
(sorry for bad english)

Just went to:

Hi all,
I recently upgraded my Blaze to CyanogenMod (v11 nightly), now my apps (Camera, Swiftkey, etc.) do not recognize my SD card. I was running stock before this.
In File Manager:
- I can view the external sd card at \storage\sdcard1.
- It appears there is an internal sd card as well at \storage\sdcard0
- There is a folder called \sdcard which appears to link to \storage\sdcard0
- There is a folder called \external_sd which links to \storage\sdcard1
- sdcard0 is empty
I believe this to be a mounting issue, but if it is I cannot figure out the correct mount command in terminal emulator. Thanks for your help in advance.
I know this is nearly a year later, but I ran into this exact same problem while trying to flash an old phone. I was fortunately able to figure out to fix it, and I'm posting this for the sake of anyone else who might have trouble with it as well.
I initially noticed the problem while attempting to download and open files, which kept giving me an error that the files couldn't be located. Using a file manager, I noticed the directories that the OP described above. I believe the internal storage for the Blaze is 4GB, which is partitioned into two parts: one for app data, and the other for user downloads, pictures, etc. I realized that I only saw one of the partitions being displayed on the storage settings screen. Connecting via USB to my computer didn't show any internal storage; I couldn't access any files from the phone besides the ones on my external microSD card.
I booted into my previously-installed ClockworkMod v6.0.4.8 (by holding the volume keys + power, letting go of power after the Samsung splash screen) and went into the 'mounts and storage 'menu, scrolled down, and clicked on the 'mount USB storage' option while connected to my computer. Surprisingly, the internal storage was recognized (specifically the partition containing user data) and I was able to pull all of my files from there that I thought I previously wiped when I went to flash Cyanogenmod 10.2. Somehow, those files were still retained. Now, I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I think all this previous data, which didn't get wiped, prevented the new ROM from mounting this partition (sdcard0), and perhaps led to a path/directory issue when I went to download and open things from it. For some reason, as the OP noted, the sdcard0 storage showed up as empty when I used a file manager app to look inside.
I deleted the files from this mounted storage via my computer, then went back to the 'mounts and storage menu' and formatted the /storage/sdcard0 storage with the 'default' setting to wipe that partition. Then, I wiped user data, cache, and dalvik cache, and let my phone reboot. I did not reflash Cyanogenmod 10.2 after, and I was able to boot into my phone and setup my phone. (I'm not sure if you have to reflash your ROM, but I was able to boot up to a fresh setup without it). I am now able to see both internal storage partitions displayed on my storage setting, use a file manager to see the files in sdcard0, and download and open files.
Hope this helps.
Before posting this, I tried looking at other forum threads and over the internet in the last week, but could not find a solution so far.
I have a Huawei Y300 with Android 4.1.1. It was rooted and was pretty much fine except for some issues (they happened in time, are not caused by the rooting itself). Meanwhile, I changed the SD card and the defects include:
- cannot set contact photos (it stops when it tries to crop image)
- cannot change theme (it shows it empty and says "internal storage full" - which is not true, plenty of free space shows up in app manager)
- can't use file manager - doesn't see anything from Local
- without a card in it, gallery and camera don't work at all
I did a factory reset and cleaned the davlik folder, but didn't change anything.
The problems come, I think, because Link2SD creates symbolic links to some folders, and those folders are not the same in a new card. For instance, when I use Root Browser and click Properties on some folders, I get:
Path: /sdcard
Symlink:/storage/sdcard0
But, when I use phone's File Manager, it does not see the files from "storage0", it shows only files located in "storage/sdcard1"
I tried to do a system update, by putting a firmware zip (or app) on the card. But it does not see it there, because it sees what the symlink tells it to see. So I'm stuck in a loop.
Because it was impossible to make Link2SD see the new card, I used another phone, with Android 4.4. After endless attempts, I got that phone to see the two partitions on the card and function. (I had to make Link2SD system app and chose ext4 for second partition.)
I took the card back to the problem phone and only sees the first partition, not the ext4 one.
In Link2SD storage info it shows:
Internal (69% free)
SD Card (unmounted)
External SD (93% free)
Second Partition (not found)
System (33% free)
Cache
When I click Recreate mounting script - it says sd card not found.
Relink files: /data/sdtext2 not found
I basically would like to get the folder structure back to the original settings, maybe use the phone without card or with a new card, with or without rooting - just the simplest way possible, but to be able to use photos for contacts and wallpapers.
update
After numerous attempts, I managed to get into recovery mode from Link2SD (the same ) and started firmware update.
It lists doing some operations, but very soon it says wiping cache... and installation aborted.
Should I try with a different ROM? This one is from Huawei website, official, general version.
it's done!
Not that anyone answered, but in case you have the same problem: it's fixed!
Again with Link2SD. Made a third partition on the card, than in Link2sd click the left upper corner for more options. Scroll down for Restart. It gives options for recovery. Deleted everything with the two options to wipe cache and I don't know what else. And than chose restart from volume keys and upper button as enter.
It didn't do an upgrade, rather a downgrade to a previous factory version but i'm happy with it.
Won't risk another rom change.
