Are you using dalvik? 5.1.1 have ART runtime, so you have to use ART to restore, and try if works

This is because the kernel is adapted, is a kernel for CM12.1 with old WiFi drivers from KitKat, and if you see the CPU frequencies with an application like kernel auditor you can see that are always on 1190 MHz (that's why it is so fast). If someone tell me what is the exact commit to use for use old KitKat kernel without screen flickering issue, i can fix the battery drain.

Don't get me wrong that's a good battery life.At 15% i had 3:25 SoT which is good for a day with mobile data activated all the time.
I don't know because I only use WiFi, but is not a battery-save rom. Have tried other rom? Could you compare other rom with this rom?
There's not much difference between ICrisis and this one as far as SoT goes(the advantage goes to slimkat).

Thank you for advice but it didn't work.
I was able to do restore with Helium.
But I have another problem, first i was not able to turn off screen and after that screen won't turn of, I have to go to recovery and restore my old backup rom.

1. can I just flash stock 4.4.4 kernel from this thread?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2649763
If so then which one, gpe or retail?
Will it resolve battery drain issue?
2. On downloads page I see two versions of rom. What is the difference between them? I'm currently using the tweaked one.
3. If flashing stock kernel is not an option or it doesn't resolve battery drain, will kernel adiutor be of any help to tweak the kernel back to more modest frequencies retaining somehow the speed of this rom?
4. I couldn't find any info about doubletap2wake and sweep2wake. Do they consume battery when enabled?
p.s. I've tried A LOT of roms including aospextended nougat and resurrection remix lolipop to nougat and this slimrom is the best for me.
I don't play games on my falcon but I do use 4-5 apps simultaneously including ucbrowser and maps.me and with this rom multitasking is finally working the way I always wanted.

Yes it's safe to use custom kernels. But if you're only a beginner, i recommend using the stock one. Since it has no fancy features and is kept as stable as possible.

I do have Android experience, no problem about that
With exodus-6.0-20160525-NIGHTLY-cancro I did have 2 random shutdowns of the device and I'm trying to find a solution (and fill a bug report).
The display is off as normal and after 1-2 hours I did realize that the phone is off. Strange

Yes, stock apps (GMail, Calendar) and a few from Google Play (Evernote, WhatsApp).
I did tried to install MIUI 6.5.26 (xiaomi.eu_multi_cancro_6.5.26_v7-6.0) on the same phone and it's rock stable (but I really don't like MIUI, I'm an Android Stock fan).
On Exodus I had max. 1 day battery, on MIUI I have 3d 14h and still have 17% left.
Same apps and setup on both ROMs.
Model is Mi 4W (international version, 3G, no LTE).
Let me know if I can provide more info.
Have a nice day,
/Sorin

Thank for answer, but I have question: I'm now on Mokee, previous CM13 and DU. On EVERY roms I have problem with singal. LTE if works (no option in settings) have once full signal, after few seconds almost no lte signal and next seconds full signal again. On 3g is much better but signal also have a little problem. Do you have problem like this in Exodus?

Play store - without certificate,
Nfs most wanted - touch not works,
Wake with volume buttons - sometimes works.

Nfs - which kernel are you on?
For wake with volume buttons try unoptimizing some system services (setting->battery->upper right corner->battery optimization) like Android System or some things to do with waking the device with volume buttons.
Tho, I am not sure about any of this, and for some time we can't expect dev's everyday support, he is very busy nowadays but he started the thread so that we can pin point some of the bugs in the mean time. Anyways, try going to a more stable kernel (in my case k10-009 is great) and unoptimize a few things and report back, I will edit the OP and add the bugs to the list if they persist after you try a few things. Never the less, thanks for help!
I'm on original kernel, good battery life, maybe I'll try 009 or uda r1.4.
Thanks for answer. @fpozar

OMG Best rom forever! but my Antutu score is 83000 from 95000 by other rom... And Magisk safetynet have 1/2 passed test (ctsProfile: false - basicIntegrity: true), it's only this problem but rom is great.
Pls don't stop your work!!
Thx @fpozar for install tuto, i always do that!
I'am with KU kernel and micro openGapps.
Edit just now have 93000 score at last test... maybe not ready when i've tested before.

Yeah, this is a great ROM, I can't believe how smooth things are, with K10-009 kernel and ondemand governor I get the best performance so far with great battery too! 5h SOT with whole day of stand by. I don't play heavy games though, but never the less, it provides awesome performance while I watch movies, stream youtube, read PDF scripts, browse the web (It can even handle around 5 tabs!). Overall the best ROM I've tried so far (didn't try tesla and aicp).

I've tried aicp, tesla an RR, so this AEX is the best!
Why do you use the k10-09 instead of the last one? 011..
Have you tested the KU version?
What governor used by this rom? or is the kernel that decides the governor?
Have you tested magisk? and the safetyNet test goes to you? i've tried 2 times (full reinstalled) but always 1/2 test passed...
I'm really very curious sorry but I like to know what i do and why x)

I use K10-009 because I once tried a K10-011 version (Linaro I believe) and found that my device was randomly rebooting. It could be that the regular K10-011 version was good and that only the Linaro one would cause crash, but regardless I went through the thread and saw that pretty much everyone was happy with the K10-009 kernel, so I didn't want to reflash and test countless times and went for that. So with that said, I did not try out the KU kernel, I might give it a go next time I do a clean flash, but for now I am more than happy with how the things look.
Also, I'm not sure about Magisk, I believe it has to do with the ROM (while browsing xda subforum for Xiaomi Mi5 I found a ROM whose selling point was the Safety Net pass) so we will just have to wait until dev can help us out...
If you want a full written guide about the governors and stuff, I made one recently (before I tried AEX so instead of Lineage folloe the guide by flashing aex). Link
I agree, best damn room for the ST.
BTW, if you really need to pass both safetynet checks, install "Universal safetynet fix" magisk module and voila!

First time installing crDroid to your Moto E 2015 LTE, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES

Sounds like you broke your phone. I be mean you tried different roms with same results either restore to stock and see if it's something low-level you messed with or get new phone If it's VoIP you are using then might be mixer path issues. First try a magisk module. Or use Google to learn about editing it. Honestly though you need to be more specific when it happens. What caused it. Anything besides something so general. It like saying my tires are broken. Yes the car is down and there is issue with tires but why what ect. Is a there a nail? It's it flat? I think the speaker and mic are part of the same module in this phone. So sounds like hardware issue. Do you have mods like sauron/viper/Dolby?
Note: Post it in one place. The best being where you lost the use in the first place. Then get logs.
This rom doesn't have the middle lockscreen shortcuts yet, right? And maybe someone can compare the battery life to RR7?

This is a solid ROM with great battery life for me. I have always had better battery life with crdroid in the past. I did not not test between the two on this device.l, but I have done yesterday on at least he 6 different phones and crdroid was always better for battery life. RR might get more updates though. It had been updated since it was really this was not.... Yet...

I don't know about middle lockscreen shortcuts I don't control feature set of crDroid. This version isn't the "go" version of android. Next build will have the "go" configs to improve performance for the surnia device.

Tried the rom yesterday, and actually it doesn't have any lockscreen shortcuts yet (middle nor bottom). Also there isn't a 4g/LTE button in quick settings (maybe it's possible to get it with tasker or other apps).
If the rom isn't "go", is there some other reason why split screen doesn't work? I would really love to use this function on a pie rom for surnia.

You can set a low ram flag. I think some kernel managers have it, you can look up how to do be it manually, I know for sure lspeed has that option. Only thing it does is allow you a different app set and a bit different memory management. If it's built to it though it's different I think. Different system apps and Google apps like assistant.

Those who want to test a sorta alpha-ish version of CrDroid 6.0 based on Android 10 can flash this build below:
From my knowledge, video recording from camera doesn't work, please if you can report what's working and what isn't. Based on the same sources as the Lineage 17.0 build that was posted recently.

Sorry to hear that , If its persistent between Android 10 Roms , then something seems to be off. I wish I could help but I havent seemed to have had this issue. Maybe try using the latest TWRP? Not sure if that will solve the issue but if you arent on it already it might help.
Also , just curious , what variant are you on currently?

M7 european version (i think gsm) latest version of twrp always tells me error 7 if i install older version than current build, so i use 3.3.1.0.
I dont understand why classic rom with elementalx works perfect, heat sometimes but 100 percent more performance and stability and android oreo is buggy for this phone, pie works good and 10 even without Gapps is laggy like 512mb ram device (in 2013 point of view).
Nougat works good but every custom rom i have tried cannot compare with Android revolution in performance and battery life.

Thanks, that's pretty much the info I was looking for, I bought an m7 to hold me over a few months while I loan out my daily phone, loaded up lineage 17.1 and to put it mildly, it's unusable. I wasn't expecting much of course but nope, not going to work. I'll give revolution a spin, see if this is salvageable.
I do agree that Android 10 is a little buggy and not the way it would be with newer phones , but I dont feel like its unusable , but that may just be me.
Thank you for the ROM!
Everything works and it`s stable. I love RR because of wide-range of customization and long battery life.
Now I use it as a daily driver on m7_ul.
About stability it`s the best Q-ROM for htc m7.

EDIT : you could try enabling and disabling on screen nav buttons , and make sure to change it to gesture navigation before disabling it , as that will allow you to go to recents menu by long swiping up , like gesture navigation.
Thanks very much for the hard work that you have put in to get the ROM to this stage, all other Android 10 versions I have tried have been a battery killer for me (less than half a day even when not used) but this gives me a day and a half and still around 30% left.... Superb job, however I noticed DT2W does not work even though it's enabled in settings, do you have plans to fix that?.
Thanks again...

Hi! To enable dt2w you need root , for which you can just flash the latest stable magisk, and then use kernel adiutor to enable it.
Worked great... Thank you.

Hi.
I've been using this ROM for a while and have the minimum battey drain compared to all the others.
However, today I've encountered the weirdest issue ever in any smartphone.
I disabled the pattern I had on to unlock the screen and now "Only emergency calls" message is shown. I can't do anything, not even go in Settings.
I entered into Recovery, wiped cache/DAlvik, dirty flashed the ROM again and still nothing.
I don't want to Restore it in a previous backup yet because I will lost some files.
I also tried other SIM cards, but still nothing.
Any suggestions?

Hi to all!
This ROM (RR_Q) was the best one for this device. IMHO.
I use it as daily driver and it gave me everything I need and even more (like DSU).
Thanks to developer
Sad, I fall my HTC and it's dead now:-( ROM is fantastic for so old HW!
