[Completed] HELP: Phone boots to reset mode: manual dump - XDA Assist

Good day,
I have a cherry mobile flare s3 lite (spreadtrum SC8830)..the issue started after flashing my device using the upgrade download tool..It's happening on any rom that I flash on my device. After performing any task on CWM then hitting on reboot, it goes to a screen displaying this message.....
Sysdumpping now, keep power on
Reset mode: manual dump
writing 0x1000 bytes to sd file sysdump.core.00
after waiting for it to finish writing, it would ask me to press any key then it goes another screen saying "android is updating" and it would take again a couple of minutes for it to finish..I tried performing "erase flash" on my unit using the upgrade download tool then reflashing a rom / stock rom but same deal..I hope that this issue can still be resolved.

Greetings;
Have you solved your problem?
If not, tell me what Android version are you running on your device?
i.e: Gingerbread; Ice Cream Sandwich; Jelly Bean or KitKat.
Assuming you are running stock firmware i believe that either your brother flashed a wrong CF-Root for your device or used an application that could not root your device properly.
Either ways don't worry since your device can enter both Download and Recovery modes, it means that you can debug it.
[Rooting]
The best way to root this device is by flashing CF-Root file.
By flashing this file (CF-Root) you will be installing:
- ClockWork Mod Recovery
- Script that will root (automatically) your device.
- ext4 application. (do some research to know what ext4 is and how it os often used)
Small note: Since you will be rooted you will be able to overclock or underclock your device as well increase your device performance and battery duration.
Just PM me or do some research if you need some info regarding these configuration and settings.
[Fixing your issue]
Download Universal CF-Root here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056
Read the instructions before proceeding.
Now boot your device under Download Mode.
To do so:
Unplug USB Cable, Power Off your device and press the following key combination:
Vol.Down + Menu/Home Button + Power Button.
Release when the device enters download mode.
Now open Odin.
Under [PDA] load the CF Root File you've downloaded.
(Do NOT change any options inside odin if you dont know what they are for. Or you may get your device useless).
Put down your device so movement is done into the USB Cable (just to prevent bad flashing when you have low quality USB Cable).
Press Start and let the operation to complete.
Odin will display a message saying: "Pass" highlighted with Green.
Check if your device restarts (it may not restart yet)
If your device boots properly backup your data and follow the next step. If it doesnt boot properly follow to the next step.
Voot your device into recovery mode.
To do so: Power off your device and make sure it is not charging or connected to USB cable.
Then press and hold the following key combination:
Vol. Up + Menu/Home Button + Power Button.
Release after the Boot Logo is shown and you will enter recovery mode.
Now you will perform a Factory Reset.
Inside CWM select by the following order:
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Clean Cache
- Factory Reset
Note that Dalvik Cache is not shown at the main menu.
I dont remember the location exactly but if im not mistaken you can find it under "Advanced".
After you perform these 3 options the device shall reboot properly.
(it may take a little bit longer this time. Just be patient).
Since i dont know what was done to your device, there is still a chance that your device wont boot.
Either ways please let me / us (at XDA) know if it worked for you.
It is important (at least for me as a quality standard) that you are able to repair your device.
Best Regards
Please press thank button if this helped you. Since this will keep me motivated to continue helping.

I downloaded "bagaria-09.GT-I9003_PDA.tar" from the link given by you and following procedure that you have mentioned. After odin says "Pass" I switched off my mobile and started in Recover mode it took around 15-20 mins to show recovery option. after this performed
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Clean Cache
- Factory Reset
and then Reboot. As you said phone is stucked on boot image for more than 15 mins then an loop on "SAMSUNG" logo after more 15 mins phone is showing "kernel panic upload mode"
Can you help me further?

Hello amoghs;
Again sorry for answering after so long; I'm not so often at XDA Lately.
Yes.
1st: Try Remove the Battery, then Put it Back and Try Again.
If this doens't Work:
1) Turn your Device Off and Press:
Vol. UP + Home Button + Power (To Enter CWM / Your Recovery Mode)
2) Select: "Factory Reset"
Let me know how it worked for you.
Note:
- After Flashing a ROM it is Normal that your Device Takes a little Longer to Boot on the "1st" time.
- Phone Stuck on Boot Logo and Looping: Boot Issues (Either Requires to Remove and Place Back the Battery; or Re-Flash the ROM or Stock Rom in a Difficult Stage).
Notes:
- After a Flash Perform a Factory Reset (To Clean Up Old Stuff).
- If you Experience: "Kernel Panic":
a) Remove Battery and Place it Back - (Works on Most Cases)
b) Flash your ROM again and DO NOT Instal Custom Kernel (May be Wrong Kernel or Bad/Incompatible Kernel Programming)
c) Phone Restarts by Himself: Reflash ROM, Try MinFreeManager or Similar APK (Application). Try "Optimal" Settings. (I dont recall the Presets names - But you can Safely test them - Even if device gets stuck. You can always revert to previous state).
d) Any Hard-to-Solve Issues: Just do a "Clean Flash" of STOCK Gingerbread (Check Sammobile Website - Invalid Download Links Just send email to Support Requesting the File)
or Flash "DDLF2 2.3.6 (Also Gingerbread). But always try Stock 1st to remove most issues, and only then Flash your Desired ROM.
Also if you haven't fixed the Boot Issue already: Do note that you can recover your device Boot.
NOT Dead Yet!
Please do let me know if you solved your Boot problem.
Best Regards;
Richard

[Completed] [Q] I can't boot after installing CWM Recovery (stuck)

Hi, I was planning on installing a custom rom on my Samsung Galaxy Core GT-i8262.
So I installed CWM Recovery and it was sort of a success, Odin is already in green with the "PASS" keyword. I quickly wiped and factory reset as I'm following a guide that told me to do so.
After that wipe, I disconnected my phone and turned it off manually. Now a normal boot (holding only the power button) shows a yellow triangle and boots back to CWM recovery and not my first rom.
I tried going back to download mode but the yellow triangle error interrupts.
I hope someone takes time to help with this boot situation.
Sincerely, a newbie asking solutions from the professionals, XDA
Thanks!
Will I be taking a risk?
As the yellow triangle keeps me from going back to normal boot, download mode, recovery mode and redirects me to CWM Recovery, I was fiddling around (I'm not supposed to do so as I have minimal experience but I'm desperate.) and saw " mount sd" and "install zip" I was wondering if this is a fix by connecting my phone to the pc and mounting sd and transferring the .zip custom rom file and installing it?
I'm worried about the yellow triangle interfering and might permanently brick my phone.
Again, seeking for professional help. Thanks!

[Completed] Phone Restarts, Unable to set USB-Debugging, No CWM, Flashing ROM nothing happens

My Device is GT-S7582 Samsung. Stock Firmware. Not rooted.
Problem #1:
It suddenly reboots itself about 15 seconds after the launcher appears.
Problem #2:
After enabling USB-Debugging, the phone reboots, and USB-Debugging is back to being disabled.
Problem #3:
No recovery menu appears when going to recover mode, it's just a read exclamation on upper left corner and the Samsung Logo.
I tried flashing CWM using ODIN, but nothing happens after.
Problem #4:
I can flash the ROM with ODIN, but nothing happens after, the phone is in the same state. I tried about 4 stock ROMs already
Is there any other way I can fix my phone? Thanks.

If your phone isn't rooted flashing through Odin won't do anything unless you're flashing a rooting file to root you're phone. you need to root (through odin)then flash cwm(Odin) then ROM (Odin)or try factory reset and see if it makes your phone usable

Thanks for fast reply. I will try this.

It didn't work. It seems that my phone becomes READ-ONLY.
I have a 15 - 20 second window to navigate through my phone before it restarts. Every time I change something, like settings, it reverts back after it restarts.
I tried deleting some folders using a file manager, but when it restarts, the folder is still there.
Even in safe mode, the phone restarts.
Can any one help me? Please? Thanks.
Has any one knows how to fix my problem? I think my phone has become read only. Please help me, please.
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device but if you already flashed 4 times stock firmware and still same errors then my advice is to go to service center with that device.
Please post that in the forum bellow for more answers from the experts.

[HELP!][Lava Iris 349] After Flashing RECOVERY.PAC, UNIT dead...

Hi!
I need help please.
I own a Lava Iris 349 (Cloudphone Ice350e here in the Philippines). I have been SUCCESSFULY flashing of stock roms and custom roms, rooting and installing recovery thru MOBILEUNCLE for this unit several times already then this happened:
Last night, I went to flash the stock ROM V7 through ReasearchDownload. It went well and rebooted well... Next is I rooted the unit using iRoot and it goes normally, rebooted well. Next is I decided to shift from Mobileuncle in installing recovery and instead wanted to try flashing the RECOVERY.PAC through Research download for the FIRST TIME. I proceeded with the process and flashed the said recovery just like any ROM.PAC without realizing that there has to be some unchecking to be done in the settings if you are flashing a RECOVERY file. (Flashing a ROM file doesn't require any modifications in the settings)...
The flashing countinued and it was successful... But NOT really... This time, my unit WON'T CHARGE, WON'T TURN ON, CAN'T BE DETECTED BY ReasearchDownload AND WON'T REACT to anything I do.... It is DEAD... I mean it is practically DEAD...
Someone told me that since I flashed a recovery.PAC just like it's a rom.PAC, it only means that after wiping everything, the system, the data, the cache, the recovery.PAC doesn't contain anything to replace these files (unlike a rom.pac) and the effect was the unit simply became BLANK with no programs to interpret any physical manipulation to the phone. It won't and can't interpret anything like CHARGING, PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON and CONNECTING TO A PC... It simply became a piece of USELESS HARDWARE... Because no software has been intsalled or whatsoever...

Now, I am appealing to people here if there is still a way or technique to fuly revive my unit...
Help will always be appeciated...

[Completed] Softbricked phone - recovery wont work

Hello,
actually i have made it, a softbrick which i couldn't fix alone
At the moment i use the ZTE Star 2.
So here is the problem:
I would like to flash a custom rom like MIUI, for that reason i was searching for a custom recovery, i chose this one:
recovery.romzh.com/zte/2015/01/136.html
because i couldn't speak Chinese i tried every combination of the given numbers.
But nothing have made it.
So i extract the recovery img file from the application (in the TEMP folder) and try to flash it manually with adb fastboot, after the file is transmitted to the phone there is a response says FAILED unknown command or something like that.
Okay, for that reason i pushed the file to the root of my sdcard and flashed it with the app rashr, which have work "correctly".
And i thought this was the problem...
Now if i want to boot my phone the ZTE logo appears for about halve a second and then the display turns off... But i think the phone is still on, because if i press the power button only a short time, nothing happens. But if i press it about 10 seconds the device will reboot, like if i do that while it is running...
The first time i have made this (press about 10 seconds) the device has booted normally but since i tried it again to get in the recovery it would boot, enter the recovery or something else, i see the logo for about half a second and nothing happens.
I couldn't enter the recovery mode and font know how i should enter the bootloader, because i don't know if the device is powered off or powered on
Thanks in advance for any help!
Greetings TurboToni
