Just searched the forum and I cant find anything supporting the Optimus T For Tmobile regarding the Custom roms. So I'm asking the NOOB Questions.
1. What is the best most stable Custom Rom for the Optimus T P509 (Tmobile). And how do you download and Install it.
2. Is the Optimus One and The Optimus T The same phone?
3. If I don't Use Cell Towers but only Wifi calling will the custom rom affect this?
4. After Installing the recommended custom rom can you still download from the android market or blackmart?
5. Can you explain how to uninstall the custom rom If necessary?
(Remember all answers must be for NOOB's Keep it Simple)
Ok found roms
So the Optimus T is the same as the Optimus One. As I read all Custom Roms for the Optimus One will work with the Optimus T. I have seen CM all the way up to 10 (JellyBean) but 10 as I read there are still a lot of bugs. The biggest is the phone function not working for me. I really want more for the Optimus T but all I see is confusing forums that don't make sense and im good at modding electronics! I have installed Custom Roms on a PSP 1001, Omnitech Gps unit, Samsung dart Was rooted by me, And this phone rooted but I want a Custom rom for this but I don't know which one and I don't have time to read all the 1,000,000 posts.
PLEASE someone help me install a custom rom and please explain the installation process as if I were a NOOB. This wont only help me but it will help other NOOB's. Thank you and I look forward to the help.
hello, I do not know abouth OT bu I have one O1, first you need to root the phone, second is to install SuperUser and BusyBox from PlayStore, 3rd is to flash recovery and finaly 4th is to find a custom rom and copy it to SD card, boot into recovery and install zip from SD card( the zip is the custom rom and located where you had it on SD)
now the steps: but first read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152306 an here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2047589
install USB drivers (search forum for LG USB Drivers) and ADT http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2047589
1. root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2047589
2. recovery tool, use this one, very simple http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827723 read thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149636, recovery thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065197
3. search development forum for a custom rom, I personaly recomand an ICS Rom, every CostomRom thread expalins the steps for flashing, boot recovery, do an backup of current rom(verry important), wipe data/battery/cash/dalvik cash/ format system/ reboot recovery/install zip from sd card/ choose zip->browse location of desired custom rom-> comfirm flash->w8 to finish process->flash gapps if not included-> reboot/enjoy new rom
read carefully threads that I mentioned, if you do not understand ask, be carefully, do not interrupt any flashing proceed, w8 until is finished, any interruption will result in HARDBRICK, so do not unplug cable and do not pull out battery by any mining while you flash recovery or rom
I Found the BEST Rom
So after Lots of research The Best Rom for The Optimus T p509 is...
[ROM] Placebo 1.1 | BUG FIXES | 4.0.4 | Stable, Fast, High Quality & Performance By (Junior Einstein)
You can find the Link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409107
This is a fast, sleek, Low memory usage, Great audio, NO BUGS, Amazing Rom!!! The best part is it is ICS 4.0.4!!!! I love it soo much. I tried CM 7.2 but it is way slower and not as customizable so I restored my phone back. Now I am happy again and keeping it!!!!!
FUNNY IM ANSWERING MY OWN QUESTIONS!!!!
1. Look at my last post and follow the install instructions.
2. Is the Optimus One and The Optimus T The same phone? (YES They Are) There are subtle differences but the ROM does not care.
3. If I don't Use Cell Towers but only Wifi calling will the custom rom affect this? This Rom works well with ICall So no affect, But calling from cell towers requires Installation of OLBBASEBASE FIX.
4. After Installing the recommended custom rom can you still download from the android market or blackmart? YES But Install GAPPS!!!!
5. Can you explain how to uninstall the custom rom If necessary? Use Custom Recovery from ClockworkMod Recovery (CWRM)
(Remember all answers must be for NOOB's Keep it Simple) The Simplest thing is to search GOOGLE for the answers.
Note: This Tutorial is for the Lenovo S8 A7600(M) MOBILE Only! Theres a Tablet named the same, dont get confused.
Warning: Your Warranty is void. I am not responsible for any kind of bricks or software failure! Only for MTK6752 ! And not for the same Numbered Tablet. this guide is for the Phone.
The Lenovo S8 7600 Golden Warrior is a very nice phone with some quite good specs. Only cons I could find was that it has none of community and tons of bloatware which is unremovable. Yet!
Lets root it, Guys.
You Need:
Model A7600 Only:
1.The Lenovo Firmware including Chinese TWRP which is provided here by me:
(Thats the only one i could find. If anyone is Brave enough to make an English Version and wants to upload it for this thread fell free to do it.)
Firmware:

English TWRP:

Chinese TWRP:

Model A7600M:
Firmware:

TWRP Recovery(Chinese):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzt5QqUHjbg3aXRTMkFSczZoZWM/view?usp=sharing
2.SP Flash Tools. This will be Needed for flashing the Sock Rom Incl. Recovery. Version 5.13xxxx Minimum Requied.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/zx5m9mp3x5p413h/SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1452.00.zip
3. The Meadiatek Driver(Explains itself i think)
http://d-h.st/1PN
4. The SuperSU.ZIP (Thanks Chainfire, we love you)
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
5.(optional) If you want to use the Google Apps i recommend Downloading the GApps Mini for 5.0 from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/gapps-mini-t3089612
Now Lets get Started:
1. Unzip the Driver Package and Run the Exe. After Installation, restart you Computer. If using Windows 8, disable Signaure Driver Enforcement.
2. Turn Off you device. Open the SP Flash Tools Folder and run Flash_tool.exe as Administrator.
3. Now Unzip the VibeUI Firmware Package. In SP Flashtools klick on Scatter Load. Navigate to the VibeUI Folder and choose the MT6752_Android_scatter.txt.
Edt: Some People Including me had Problems with the Scatter File. However, If getting errors, try creating your own scatter file referring this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2151251
4. Check if every Downloadfile exept the System is Checked, else you will get an error.
5.IMPORTANT: Go to settings, Download and CHECK the DA DL All with Checksum.
6. Klick on Download.
7. NOW the Tricky Part. Remove the Battery. Insert it again. Now leave the Phone Turned off and plug the USB Cable in, but holding the Volume UP button.
8. If you get a Red Bar and a Yellow followed by some grey in SP Flash tools you have done it right. If the Flash was successfully, you will get a green tick mark as passed.
9. Now unplug USB and take the battery out and pop it in again. Boot the Phone. Dont get shocked if it doesn't boot up fast, it usually takes about 6-8 Minutes. Be Patient!
10. If the Phone Boots up successfully, configure it and Connect it as a MTP Device on the Computer.
11. Now Copy the GApps.zip and the SuperSu.Zip to the Root of the Phone Memory.
12. Boot into Recovery (Holding VOL UP AND DOWN while turning the Phone on) and flash the two Zips. Its in Chinese but you will
only need to flash it once. Flash Zip is the Upper Left Button. Choose your GappsZip and use the Back Button to get to the main Screen. Now flash the SuperSA.zip.
13.Reboot. If you dont know how to just take off the battery ( Its quite risky so better try using the Buttons. The Layout is the same as in the English Version)
Finished! Now your Device is Rooted and got the Gapps on it. Download Titanium Backup and remove the Chinese Crap Bloatware. You are now the Master of your Device. I would be really happy about Donations, since It was very Hard to get Hands on these Roms and Recoverys.
INFO: Some People Complained about the lost IMEI, Thank you Soyer88 for the fix! Sorry that I was away for too long, I got my finals.

For those of you who lost the IMEI address on this phone, or ANY other, here is simple guide witch solved my problem:
1. Download this http://www.4shared.com/file/aNRAdrvgba/sn_gen.html , or search sn_gen.exe (Dont worry, the program is not translated that isn't a problem)
2. In the ??IMEI 1 field write your original imei address (behind the battery)
3. Click on ??MP0B_001?? - It will create a file on your desktop named MP0B_001.
4. Copy the file in your phone, Install Root Explorer, send the file in data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/ and change the permission of the file (check all boxes)
5. Restart the phone.
Thats it ! This phone is very tricky to flash (or recover) , because of the chipset.. its very rare
I had a lot of problems to fix it, You have to use the right version of Sp flash tool !!!
Here is a russian forum with ALL the custom ROM's (including the official chinese) and support for this phone - http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=657464 it helped me a lot!

Hey
Could someone tell me what to do? I flashed a rom and recovery via Sp Tool (not from this guide) on my S8 A7600. It was a custom rom with removed bloatware I found on a Russian site (google translate).
Now I find that my baseband is unknown and no IMEI's either. I didn't notice this in the beginning though, I did root the phone first and cleaned up even further with Titanium Backup, including the default phone and
contact apps.
Don't know if this could have had an impact or not, but my impression is that it has to do with modem driver, which might be a different one (it seems the custom rom was built from chinese rom). Both scatter files (rom and recovery) does not seem to touch the nvram area, although this mtk flashing stuff is completely new to me.
Have any tips? This chipset is new for IMEI repair, so is unsupported from what I gather.
I flashed another rom I found and the IMEI came back, hurray
Good to know its not some permanent lame fault the mtk engineers would have missed (unlikely). Well now back to customizing romz, the default lenovo rom is far from what I consider usable.

Actually I think I said that wrong. I am now using this rom: VIBEUI_V2.5_ _USR_ST1524_5.1460.1_1506111858_MP6V3_CU_CN_otafull
This is the latest official stock rom directly from Lenovo. I was referring to one of the rom's that's flashed by those shabby vendors, full of adware, malware and viruses.
I was not aware of this situation as this is my first china phone.
To Op: No I did not use your Rom. I've tried a few others and the *Real* stock ota rom from lenovo was the best for me, also the latest stable build. I found it here btw: lenovo-forums.ru(can't post full link)
Also I'm looking for this: A7600_TWRP2.8.7.0_2015-07-18.7z <--- This is the only recovery I've found that has english language. It was posted on 4pda.ru but link is down. Also seen it on those chinese sites, but requires account to download.

My Suggestion would be: Download and try my Rom and Recovery. Then download SuperSu/.Zip and try to flash it via Chinese TWRP which i am providing. you can locate the buttons from any other TWRP, even from other phones. If done, you could et root uininstaller and remove the crappy bloatware like i did. then install gapps

I already have chinese TWRP, and I'm rooted. The rom I'm using also does not have any insidious bloatware, except a few chinese apps that don't even require root to remove. Besides I seem to remember the system.img file in your rom was corrupt, tried to download several times.
Just saw this at 4pda.ru:
Port of K3 Note VIBE 2.8 1530 A7600 5.1】 【07/15/25
Download: yadi.sk/d/ULLundAAi5dk6
Will upload the File again, sorry to hear that.
where do you download the latest firmware?this phone doesn t have ota?no need to use flash tool if it s the case..you can root it easily with an apk
so i don t understand you manip
Mine was really hard to root, none of Kinroot or any other tool/app worked.
so could you say use what did you use for rooting it?
i just to order one so i would like to erase all chinese apk
are you happy with this phone?
Like I said, the Rom provided here is Pre Rooted and has TWRP included. With twrp you can root any rom, but seems like the file is corrupt so ill have to upload it again as soon as i get home

VIBEUI_V2.5_1532_5.1797.1_ST_A7600_CU
I got this as ota update yesterday, on official lenovo rom. Btw, this needs to be flashed with stock recovery (rename file as "update.zip")
Actually, you can flash it with TWRP/custom recovery, just tried it
Also, you should flash Gapps after the initial boot and setup, or it may cause problems.
Here is also the TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery with English language: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5Lqys5p5m_YR0VfSXFPZ0RIZEk
The new firmware is good. So far I've noticed it has solved a big bug with launcher. Previously I could not use widgets with 3rd party launcher (settings fc), now I can.
The launcher bug is still present, but not with Google Now Launcher when flashed with gapps.
PS: Is it ok for me to post this here? Perhaps better to make new thread?
Aosp rom
I found what seems to be a recent AOSP based rom: A7600-ZP-15.08.06.zip
Though only so far seen it on Chinese sites, like this: http://pan.baidu.com/wap/link?uk=1393301215&shareid=1110457716&third=0
Don't think I will bother getting account for that, but just letting you know.
Man thank you! If you could download this and pack it in one zip, upload it on your google drive and test it again we could privide yours! Because i sold mine so i cajt test it. Else im still ready to upload it

Hi all,
I have a sparkle v which is unrooted and also I don't have any software like cwm.
My phone is stuck in an infinite bootloop. I tried removing the battery, going to recovery mode and factory resetting it and clearing cache.
None of those worked. Please help.
Please explain it briefly.. when it occurs..?? i.e after any update u done
My phone started becoming laggy and not very responsive after I received a 18 mb update which when I tried to install always bought an error during restart - a dead bot icon was shown.
I searched online and many people faced the same. So essentially I wasn't able to install that update and it showed in the taskbar to install the same. However one day that notification disappeared. Maybe it was a problem with low internal memory.
This infinite boot problem occurred after that.

Could you please tell me where I can find how to flash my rom to stock Lollipop or K?
I was able to find this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Co-2QBRZU
He uses SP flash tool and does it for a micromax A1. Will it work for Sparkle V too?
1. What drivers do I need and will the one he used for micromax work for me too?
2. Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
Thanks
use this to get rom link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sparkle-v/general/stock-firmware-t2889509
for adb driver use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...l/tutorial-unlock-bootloader-install-t2895763
sp flash tool will work for sparkle v too
for instructions http://androidxda.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I understand what stock rom and sp tool mean (or do), but what is this custom recovery for? Is it required to flash my rom with the stock one?
1) Also once again Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
If you would like you could have a look at the YT tutorial for a few minutes and let me know if it is safe to try that out? He doesn't mention any ADB drivers.
2) Is ADB driver universal for all phones?
3) Is there anything else to install? In the thread you linked it said install as usual for Mediatek devices. I'm assuming sparkle v is also one of them

stock rom or stock os (kk or lollli or m) is the one came with or distributed by the ur phone brand ie.. here google... it helps you to get back to your phone to original state if ur software is corrupted that is laggy or force close restarting ... if u use ur stock rom it doesnt void ur warranty...
custom recovery means user defined one to install custom rom on ur mobile(user created one for ur mobile) it helps ur to backup ur mobile rom or datas etc..
dont fear while flash the mobile follow the instruction as instructed if not possiblity to get ur phone soft or hard bricked do it at ur own risk..
in ur referred video link he gave the links below the video for driver , flash tool , rom... he said about driver installation on starting the video
sparkle v also the same mediatek for more info download cpu-z app from store or google ..
download both stock kitkat and lollipop rom for ur sparkle v which is present in sparkle v cross development search there or use my above links ....slowly read the steps in the links and flash ur mobile...
Hi,
Thanks, I will try the steps and really looking forward to it working.

Finally, after more than a year searching, asking, try & error session, I compiled the safest method to get root and custom recovery for this phone.
As you know, there are very little support and resources out there for this model. Like the title said, I provide the resources within my knowledge and skills to help you.
I, myself debug this so you don't have to worry about making the same mistake I made. (What mistake you ask? Hmmm..)
This phone come with 2 variants. Mine is 1GB Ram but I'm sure this will work for any K10E70 as well.
Before you guys start all this, make sure you know what you doing. At least, prepare. Dig some more about the item I mentioned. Get to know what the "do" and "don't", because if you just ignore this, in between now to success, there a greater risk of your phone getting brick. Last but not least, do backup.
Okay, lets get started...
WHAT YOU NEED
#1 Courage (For trying something new..)
#2 Patient (Lot of it..)
#3 ROM (This ROM is built for China market, so there's no GAPPS since they had their own version of "Google". But don't worry, I got this covered..)
#4 Magisk - Systemless root
#5 TWRP custom recovery
#6 GAPPS (Optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Flashing ROM using stock recovery
- Place ROM in SD card root.
- Reboot to recovery. (Power button+Vol Up)
- Once you get in recovery, go to 'Apply Update from SD Card'.
- Find your ROM zip file, install.
- Wait till finish, reboot. (or it'll reboot itself, either one..)
- You have to understand that this ROM is meant for China market, so there's
a lot of Chinese bloatware. This is why you need root to remove all that.
2. Installing Magisk for root
- Install Magisk from provided link.
- Get boot.img from provided link.
- See, learn, and dig more here.
3. Flashing TWRP .img
- Get the TWRP .img from provided link.
- here how to flash and here to know what is actually TWRP .
Or
- You can download Flashify and flash from there. I can't guarantee the success but the possibility is there.
- Assumed you success, you'll find that the custom recovery is in Chinese (again..).
- Don't panic, I got this too. Changing the theme will also change the language.
- Get the Materialized-Dark.zip from provided link.
- Refer here how to change theme.
- Refer here to figure out the menu placing, which is which.
4. Flashing GAPPS (Optional)
- Get the GAPPS from provided link.
- Flash using your newly hot smoking TWRP
You can get all the necessary file HERE.
Million thanks and credits goes to topjohnwu for a magical Magisk, TeamWin for brilliantly TWRP, tasnim_tamim for TWRP Material theme and lastly for a some random Chinese guys and ladies who helping and providing me stock firmware. I hope there are more variety of support for this phone in the nearest future, such as custom rom, etc.
Have a nice day!
Great job, you are the man. Any help to root Lenovo K10a40 please, i think it's similar to your device and thanks in advance.

Information about device is in the attached pictures.
What I am Requesting:
Can someone teach me how to install Android 8(Oreo) Go Edition on my tablet please.
Why am I asking help and not researching and do it myself:
Because it is a unknown brand so I dont have any references and I very scared of bricking the device I spent my college savings on.
Back Story:
Bought a cheap tablet from China which turned out to be fake in many ways than one. Its running on android 5.1. It has a ton of bloatware just to keep up the scam of being android 11. Instead of going through the hassle of returning product I decided to just make it better and install Android 8(Oreo) Go Edition to get some new features and remove all the bloatware while I am at it.
What I know about the device:
(Additional information, Not including IMEI, is in the attached pictures.)
It uses a octa core MT6592 32 bit CPU Android 5.1
Why Oreo Go:
Go is a stripped down version of android and since the tablet is kinda *JUNK* I figured its perfect to use Go edition on it.
Why Oreo, because I couldn't find a 32 bit version of android 9 to 12 Go. I assume bit version is important
What is the source of the Android Oreo Go rom:
Its the Wiko Y50, because it seemed close enough in specs and I was able to download the .pac file and extracted the boot.img file from it.

In my opinion, it is a waste of time and health for such an experiment. You must accept the failure of buying a fake device. This will be your experience for the future.

I don't mind wasting my time. I am in college learning technical skills are useful. I like to learn the skill for the future. And I honestly almost had this covered using tutorials but I got stuck at finding my original stock rom and fastboot loader rom for this specific device.
Can I use this?
How to Go Back to Stock Android From a Custom ROM: 3 Ways
Want to remove a custom ROM and get your Android phone back to its original state? This is the easiest way to get your phone back to stock.

I got the stock rom of the Wiko Y50 which is the Wiko Y50's boot.img file, couldnt I simply switch out my original stock rom from this instruction to that of the Wiko Y50's?
Im not trying to download a non custom firmware like lineage so wouldnt it just work if I used the method of flashing stock rom when the firmware I want to to install is a stock rom of another phone?
First you should:
1. make root (if possible) to make a full backup of all partitions and learn about partition organization.
2. learn how to restore the system from the backup done.

Somewhere on the XDA forum I saw a thread about how to make TWRP yourself based on your own boot.img.
Other than that, checking if TWRP is working is done via adb. Your screen may show the result of not working properly in graphics mode.
[GUIDE]Porting TWRP without source
Yes, I know XDA is filled with such guides. But you can only port a TWRP if you implement parts of all the guides. This guide is a summation of all those guides. NOTE: I would be using AIK-Linux in this tutorial, since I don't recommend Windows...
