When using the Nexus line of devices, the triangle "back" button will turn on it's side to point down when you open up the keyboard...like this:
When it's pointing down, and you press it, it shrinks the keyboard and then animation turns it to point to the left again....like this:
Yet on our LG v10, there is no triangle "back" key animation....it always just stays pointed to the left.
Soooooooooooooo...my question is, can this be modded into it? I'd kind of like it...
Lots of phones don't do this but I'm interested in this as well. I'll see if I can figure anything out.

like a keyboard, or a menu, etc....
But I know that something can be minimized since I opened it.

you sound like one of those old people right now who say "why do I need a fancy smartphone to tell me I have an e-mail.....I can just log onto my PC and yada yada yada"
nexus phones and tablets have it for a reason...and that is because Google intended it to be there
First of all, really?!
Just a question as to why anyone would want it because I'm curious.
Second, I'm here because I'm a little more advanced than an "old person". To that end say, if you want a pure Google OS experience buy the Nexus. Obviously LG thought that it wasn't necessary and took that feature out from their UI.

you had already asked your question......when I answered that, it wasn't a good enough answer for you. so yes, really...you sounded curmudgeonly.
again, if google put it on android for a reason, that should be good enough for it to be there on phones running android.

Except LG didn't include the flashlight in Lollipop. All the manufacturers change it with their UI. Maybe they'll put it in in an update. I was just trying to make the point the the button serves its purpose whether it rotates or not.
What we should really be concerned with is using the FPR with a case.

FPR works with my case and I also think the minimize arrow is a nice addition... ?. Anyway this thread is about soft keys not fpr so let's worry about soft keys here....
I would like to get some chrome colored soft keys with that little arrow animation...

I've noticed the Power/Lock button is just a bit lop sided and feels like you have to press more to the left on it to use it rather than the right side of the button. Its strange but doesn't really bother me. Anybody else notice this?
I think its normal. I also have this on mine

+1. But it would be nice if the button was raised a little bit.
Yeah my G2 and MT4G are like this too. It must be an HTC thing.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
It's better than the Desire HD's, which was inset into the device, making it very difficult to press.
The HTC Desire's power button was raised a bit more and had a definite "click" feel to it, whereas the Sensation's is much softer and slightly more recessed into the phone. That's about all I've noticed.
I didn't receive mine yet, but I would suggest a possible solution that since the backcover already contains the power button when removed, why not just put a small piece paper under the button to push a little for a more comfortable fit.
I think its a good sign that power button a bit raised otherwise i have incredible s, its power button is not good, its totally flat. sometime i press but doesn't happen.
Hey guys, is this what you're all talking about? Because it seems that my power button is a bit crooked or something, check the pic. Im not sure if this is normal.

Ya if you can, return the phone and get another one. Yours is really bad, mines is perfectly start straight, actually it even follows the curve of the phone nicely.

mine is the same way, i noticed after i bought it and thought the rep ****ed it up when he powered it up for me after putting in my new sim card...bt not a big deal for me since i usually press the slightly "raised" part so that way i feel like it'll be more "even" lol
IDK brother...That looks like a defect out of this world..Problem is convincing a store location that it came this way and if it did then why are you just now bringing it back...That's why I hate stores..They treat you like you're lying always.
But just for show here is my button.

Yeap, mine is exactly like that as well. It works just fine if I press the raised left part but I'm afraid they may not have any more in stock if I go to exchange it.

Having the power button break on my Nexus One six times makes me very concerned about this new phone. I hope this doesn't become a problem with the Sensation.
Just to keep you guys updated I just returned back from Exchanging my Sensation and this one's Power button is PERFECT!! HOly crap is it so much easier to press. Very Happy now. : )
Well I went to the Walmart I got it at and they dont have any in stock. The person that was "helping" me was acting more like a douchbag saying that he'd seen that in every Sensation he's sold. IDK what to do since I just have a week left in my return/exchange period and they dont know when they'll be getting more. Who should I contact? Should I call Walmart and let them know?
I may be alone, but my thumb gets a quite unpleasant 'sensation' when I swipe 'notifications' at the top of the device, it catches on the glass below the speaker grill. It's so annoying I may have to take it back...anyone else notice this?
Hoping I posted in the right spot...
I haven't had a similar issue.

It's where the glass meets the speaker grill, even my son noticed it, maybe it's not placed correctly, I'll have to try another to verify..

When I had my G2, I didn't need to do this. I just used the default setup. LoL!!
I guess wii can do this if wii don't ever plan on using the Qwerty for actual typing. LoL!! Sorry, but this guy here hates software keyboards and software keyboards doesn't like him. That's why he always types 'b' or 'v' instead of space. And stock ICS Keyboard tries it's hardest to fix that too. LoL!! :silly:
Best first post in development thread I ever saw! LOL!
I'd love to see a little snap on cover that made this possible...I always end up mashing the other keys anyways, plus I'd want to retain normal keyboard usage.

I never got that to work, only double tapping to turn on, it must be sensitive. Also that's why I'm not a huge fan of the camera :/
I upgraded from the DNA as well, and so far I don't have any complaints. The camera isn't the best but I knew that going in.

You can improve the camera a lot by the custom settings.
.
^this was a bit over saturated
The cameras not really bad. It's a 4 'ultra pixel' but it's good in low light and all the effects I.E 3D makes up for the la lacking pixels. I love the phone coming from a note 3. The build quality, display, size, speakers, and speed is what I favor most.
I'm not a real fan of sense but I took care of that with nova launcher and the viper1 Rom? I recommend that Rom if you're thinking about rooting ?
HTC ONE M8?
After a little over a week of use my experiences with this phone has been nothing but positive... Of course the camera leaves a lot to be desired but other than that, smooth sailing.. After a day of use on a full charge I still have 50% + left. It almost lasted 2 days that's a lot more improvement over the droid DNA.. I haven't rooted yet, I'm actually kind of scared and hesitant to. On another note I feel like I made the right decision over and S5..

It's the freaking wireless carriers who are in collusion with our regulatory bodies. They are untouchable and provide only the bare minimum required service while charging maximum dollar for it.
