Problem with blisspop 4.0.3 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been using blisspop for a while and I love it is a great ROM, after the new release 4.0.3 I updated my n8000 and the new ROM was perfectly smooth and it was running good but many of the apps weren't opening ,when I click on an app it open for like a second then disappears quickly and i can't even find it in the recent apps ,what should I do to get it working right ?

I realy love this rom but no deep sleep for me (like CM12)... i'm on N8000 version and the first line of battery consumption is mobile network sleep (on airplane mode). If i am not using it and put it on stand by, my battery life is between 2 and 3 days ( 2 and 3 weeks with Gnabo for example). Can someone tel me if i am the only one to have this problem?

The difference between Deep Sleep & Sleep of Death (SoD)

The many discrepancies that people make in this forum pushes me to do this:
Deep Sleep is a state which Android enters to save battery while the phone is locked . It is known to save a lot of battery .
Sleep Of Death , a.k.a SoD , is a state that Android might encounter on numerous phones because of a problem with their WiFi sleep policy and the sudden connections and disconnections of WiFi connections .
Possible solutions:
1. Don't use WiFi and use 3G instead .
2. Try setting WiFi Sleep Policy to off in Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wifi Settings > Menu button > Advanced
3. Use another kernel .

Yesterday night i kept my phone with around 65% battery and in the morning i wasn't able to unlock it.... I tried many thing to make sure whether its ON or Off and finally i decided to long press the power button which switched it On.... But then i noticed the battry was only 12%
Can u tell me wt happened to it & which thing ate my battery...? coz i never had such a problem and my battery backup is excellent..... Usually it consumes almost nothing while phone remains idle and i always follow the normal battery saving rules eg. turning off data, wi-fi etc off while not in use, clearing unused app from ram etc.....
Any idea wt happened so i could prevent it from happening it again.........???

it have bugs like random reboots, battery drain etc. when i bought my phone i changed to austrian in 2 days so dont have experience with indian rom, but many peoples are complaining about it.
I strongly recommend two apps, excellent to monitor cpu-activity:
- CPU Spy (free)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bvalosek.cpuspy&hl=sv
- Better battery stats (premium)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats&hl=sv
CPU spy is a must.
- Better Battery Stats(free) is available here at XDA itself: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
- Badass Battery monitor: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm&hl=en

Whatsapp battery drain

Is there a way to limit contacts used by Whatsapp to a specific group only ?
When the app is using the entire address book (very large) it seems the battery is draining very fast and the phone gets
extremely hot.
i don't have this problem and i have 785 contacts in my phone book What phone do you use ? What Rom ?
IM+ as an alternative.

Captivate with SLIM ICS version 4.1 and Semaphore Kernel. Over 2000 contacts.
Maybe I'll try a different kernel and upgrade to SLIM ICS 4.2 ?
The whatsapp had successfully drained my battery on all he platforms where I used it....
The application is really not good written...

The problem here is not the app, its not the rom or the device. The problem here is simply that using data drains the battery, speciall when on 3G. Battery drain is just one of those things we have to deal with when we have smart phones. They do more than ordinary dumb phones. Using the 3G radio will greatly decrease the charge because its constantly negotiating for signal and shunting data back and forth. If you want to decrease the drain, chat less, switch to 2G only, send less pics/vids/birthday cards from random website that looks cute.

Thanks for the Whatsapp Plus suggestion! Greatly improved my battery life with a simple dark theme change! Stock Whatsapp colours are waay too bright!
It's a bit strange, my battery drained a lot for the last few days after upgrading Whatsapp to the new version 2.9.4207. my battery drains faster than before, if i could have 1 day with 3G on, it is now only up to 3 hours maximum..
i hope it is not app that causes the problem since i relied on it too much to communicate with frenz..
i'm using An Xperia P btw

I also have been experiencing increased battery drain in the past few days. The only recent change I have made is installing Whatsapp.
The problem here is not that the app is not well written, but the fact that the app uses data. Any application that uses data constantly will drain your battery, a hot phone usually indicates 3G use, 3G radios tend to get hot when they are used for extended periods. The same thing happens to a USB 3G Modem. The only way to prevent your battery going flat so quick, would be to stop using the device. There is an application somewhere that actually disables your radio (wifi or 3G) for a period, puts the device into deep sleep and then wakes it up to check for notifications. This might help a bit with your problem.

does anybody notice that JB cconsume battery high

Does anybody notice that JB cconsume battery high even more than ICS ..
I am using Team Union Rom 4.1.1 XXBLJ9 DBT v3 ...
For me the biggest reason not to update.
I noticed it on my Galaxy S3 and now again on my note 10.1.
I want best battery life for my tablet, so I think I will stick to ICS, although there are some pretty impressive improvements in Jelly Bean.

I am thinking of getting back to ICS but I will miss JB features
it was like that on my epic 4g touch. i ics worse than GB, JB worse than ICS. i ended up going back to GB with that phone. but my sgn2 has incredible battery life on JB. i'd suppose that on ICS it would be astronomical.
did you tried to deactivate / freeze new "bloatware" like
- new Samsung Syncs
- Google Now
- ...
Batt life is still phenomenal with JB for me, although Google Now is activated and everything is synced. (It´s my main work-tool now)
Clean 11 hrs on HSPA with always on.
Clean 14,5 hrs on WiFi with always on.
I deativate goggle now, snd disable autostart of maps. That helped alot

i feel opposite i mean after installing 4.1.2 version stock or omega rom or android revolution hd v5.1 i feel'd it's much better power manager than i thought!
sorry about the language!
I don't know how the battery life was on ics or gb because as soon as I got it, I upgraded to Jelly Bean.
I am running Android Revolution HD 5.1 and the battery life has been just awesome.
I get around 14 hours with 8-9 hours of screen use and I've never had it go under 10% battery life thus far.
-Keep it at around 10 to 20% brightness, I've never needed more that that.
Don't even have power saving turned on! Also I set it to 30min timeout to sleep if not in use.
The battery life is so great I almost can't believe its this good.

You could actually read the thread of the Rom, where in the second post says this:

The Display Panel has some limit on the frame rate and hence there is visible flickering on the UI.
Bluetooth performance is slow when WiFi is turned on.
Few random crashes (?)

So yeah, there are bugs, but the driver is ready por daily usage as said by various forums members in the post of the rom (Dhiru's Cyangenmod 10.1 Alpha 5)
I'm a noob too, but I tried for one year Dhiru' roms, so I can tell you this rom is awesome, the only problem is the battery life but i think they will solve this problem soon

A5 wasn't supposed to be a daily driver yet.. Just in case you happily charging your A4/A5 at over 50 degrees, change to a external battery charger or risk shortening your battery's life at a fast rate. For Li-ion batts, max charging temp is 45 degrees, discharge temp shouldn't be over 60..
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/charging_at_high_and_low_temperatures
Thanks!
If you don't mess up while flashing and do a clean flash, i think it is pretty good as a daily driver.
For me battery last for a day. Though there are some bugs they don't bother much in mundane tasks. I was on Frankestein mod earlier and changed to A5. Not much of difference in laying games and all.
BUT If u are really looking for a fully stable rom, wait...
I was on 4.1.2 A4, then i upgraded to 4.2.2 A5, and i have less problems (some videos on youtube not working, now all of them work ). Is it working with any issue? No, 2 times rebooted without any reason, but for me is not a problem. And the battery life is short, but for me it has never been more than 8-12 hours. So u decide, but i read that alpha 6 is about to come (even i read about a beta??).
backlight!!!
I'm having the backlight issue on cm10.1 a5. Is there any way to fix it?
4.2.2 A6
It work well. The main problem is battery drain.
i have this problems on A6: battery drain; can't fully charge the phone (when i remove the charger, battery return to 94%), and when i take a video at 720p there is big lag on the screen and the gallery crash...
Hey can any one tell , problems with battery.... now I'm running android 4.1.2 in Xgamerz rom. I guess it's quite stable....

[Q] Which ROM for my HTC One Mini

Hi all!
I want to change the ROM of my HTC One Mini (currently 4.4.2 Stock, Bootloader unlocked, rooted) for install something more light and fast.
In my HTC sometimes i can see lags even in the home screen, moving from a page to another.
And i also have a big battery drain, even without 3rd party apps that consume battery. Currently i'm using only 2G (i locked 3G) and i turned off the backlights of buttons to save some energy, disabled apps like facebook etc, low brightness...but if i disconnect it from the current at 8 am he will have 50-40% at 4pm with a medium/low usage.
So, returning to my question, which is the better ROM for me?
No one?

No one can help me?
I've only used the stock based roms on here, not cm11 or other. But from my experience I found stock 4.3 to be the best in speed and battery. The main thing to do if your rooted is to delete system apps you don't use. Do some research on what's good or not to remove. Apps like Greenify can help. Personally I don't think you battery results are that bad. As long as you can reach the end of the day without charging your doing ok. Can't see another Rom giving you double battery life.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Ok
I will try stock 4.3 so!
thanks
I've got one mini for 5 months now and belive me i tried a bunch of roms. Right now i am on 4.4.2 sense 6 rom, which works perfect except whatsapp issue (you need exactly 2.11.226 version to work) and there is no "show recent apps" when you double tap home button, but that can also be solved with app called "swipe home button''. That is if you want to stick with stock based roms and sense, but get something new.
You could also try cyanogenmod, but as its still nightly i've expirienced some bugs, and found the "Codename Lungo" better working, which is also based on cm11.
In my opinion these cm based roms could help with your battery drain but they certainly have more bugs that stock based ones.
If you feel like experimenting, you could try this new pacman rom, i havent tried it yet. Anyway here are the links to threads:
