I have the Korean Model SHW-M480W Galaxy Note 10.1 which is a wifi model just like the international wifi model GT-N8103. They are identical in terms of hardware, so I thought I could flash any custom ROM that's made for the GT-N8013. Turns out I was wrong. I have flashed OmniROM, Bliss Stalk ROM, CarbonROM, and even Hyperdrive ROM which is based on Touchwiz and not AOSP. All of them flashed normally, but then the device got stuck on the boot screen every single time. I have tried clearing data, cache, dalvik cache but nothing has worked. Why does this happen if they both have the exact same hardware? I hate to be stuck with this ugly and painfully slow kitkat Touchwiz forever.

So I upgraded to CM 10.1 . I lost LTE almost immediately after I upgraded. So I read in the comments on CMs plus page that I flashing gapps again may help. I tried that, it didn't. I thought I'd go back to my old CM back up, but CM 10.1 wiped that and it was nowhere to be found. So I put in CM 10 unofficial, the only one I had access to at that moment. LTE was working fine at this moment. I read another comment where someone suggested wiping data and cache and then instaling CM 10.1 and gapps and so i tried that. Lost LTE again.
I tried going back to CM 10 unofficial - No LTE, all i see is a tiny R above the signal bar
I tried gong to CM 10. stable - No LTE, R persists
Tried both multiple times with Data wipe, Cache wipe, Dalvik wipe before each - No LTE, R persists
Finally went to Stock Touchwiz (scotts ROMs) - No LTE, Roaming notificaition and tiny triangle over the signal bar (which I think is touchwiz version of the R)
Back on CM 10 Stable - No LTE, R persists
Called Verizon while on touchwiz and they tried to trouble shoot, and nothing worked.
I've tried removing and reinserting the sim card with no help
Battery pulls haven't helped
No LTE and the R remains
Verizon says they are sending a new phone, but i am worried that since my phone is rooted if I accept their phone they will make me pay the full amount ($299.99)
Any help would really really REALLY help.

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S4 from ATT (i337) and am trying to install an AOSP rom on it. I tried couple of roms but all of them lead to disappearance of the network reception (basically empty triangle where the reception bars should be).
For example, I tried couple of i9505 roms like this one:

And even though everything works perfect, I still get no reception/empty triangle. I tried flashing ATT specific kernel, from here:

but that just causes the rom to freeze on boot. So, figuring that it may be a setting issue because I am installing i9505 rom on i337 device, I got Slim Rom for i337:

However, again, even though it boots and everything is working, I get no reception/empty triangle.
Finally, I tried changing the APN setting as per these instructions:

I really dislike the samsung rom with all the touchwiz and would love to run the google edition rom, but I can't find any info on how to set the network up. What do I do?

So I flashed a custom ROM which worked 100%, then I tried to flash a custom kernel. And here something went wrong. I first tried to flash Zeus 4.0, but then every time I boot the device my 3g does not even pick up, so i just restored to my backups and everything worked.
But somewhere along the line I messed up something. As no matter which ROM I load my 3g does not connect at all. I've checked the APN settings, and everything seems correct.
Is there a way to flash back to the factory rom and kernel and then go from there?
The roms I've tried to do is Android Revolution HD 9, Illusion, PACMAN and Omega...
My device is the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000, for south africa...

You have flashed the so-called "radio" partition.
It contained data connected with networking support.
N8010 (zeus kernel is only for that one...) doesnt seem to have 3g support so you lost it.
But as @up said everything shall back to normality if you'll flash stock samsung rom by odin (search on forum to make sure that the rom version contains radio update... i'm not sure if every has it, just as not every rom had the bootloader update!)
...or look for radio partition dump only - seen one somewhere...

So I bought this US Cellular Galaxy S3 (SCH-R530U). It came with Cyanogenmod 10.1.1 installed. Oddly enough, it had the CM 10.1.1 meant for the Sprint Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710) installed, but it worked.
I did the mistake to update it to a nightly build, and since then the phone is stuck in a boot loop. It boots, and then it's fine for 2 minutes, then it reboots.
I flashed it and installed the stock ROM. Working good again, then I flash Cyanogenmod, the problems begin again. Boot loops and more boot loops. I tried flashing CM 10.1.0, 10.1.1, 10.1.2 but none of them solved the problem.
Then when I flash the stock ROM, the phone is never reboots as it did before.
What is bothering me is that when it had the CM meant for the Sprint Galaxy S3 (SPH-L710), it was working totally fine. However I'm scared to flash the CM meant for the SPH-L710 in this SCH-R530U phone and brick it..
What should I do ???
This US Cellular ROM is so... nasty.. and ugly! I want to flash CM on it and use this galaxy over Verizon.
Any suggestions?
