My Xperia L started to do weird stuff about a month ago. Suddenly all apps would crash (unfortunately.. has stopped working). I have to pull out the battery to fix it and sometimes it wont start (bootloop or stuck on sony logo). I did hard reset, flashed stock ftf but nothing works. Sometimes it does this when it is under load and sometimes completely random. I bought a phone with a cracked screen after i bricked mine and it had a battery drain problem. After taking it to a local reapir shop they've managed to fix it but they told me they had to resolder something because of water damage. Is it possible this problem to be the result of water damage also?

Hi there,
I bought my ACER CLOUDPHONE S500 2 months ago.
Everyting worked fine, I didn't root the phone, nor did I try to. I used the phone for a coupple of weeks until yesterday, all of a sudden it started vibrating constanly. I pulled out the battery and memory card + sim and put only the battery back in. When the battery touches the contacts it starts vibrating again. So even when the phone isn't booted yet, it just start vibrating constantly without stopping.
Pulling out the battery and plugging in only the USB charger does the same (vibrating constantly).
I tried to restore factory defeaults but that doesn't help.
The phone works normally and can be booted (so no black screen or stuff) but just vibrates the whole time.
I normaly live in Belgium, but I'm on holiday in Thailand for 3 months, so I guess returning it back to the store isn't an option now.
I guess it's a hardware problem but if anybody has a sollution, it would be very welcome!
Is there an other way to stop the vibrating?
anybody has a clue?
I posted this yesterday, does anybody know what is wrong?
I guess it's a hardware problem as the vibrations start from the second I plug in a powersource (battery and/or USB-charger)
IS there any way I can stop the vibrations or is it more like a shortcircuit on the vibration part?
It gets very anoying having a constanly vibrating phone in my pants, I guess I'll could give the phone to my GF..
Hi, I never saw that kind of issue on the cloudmobile but I guess you'll be stuck until you can send it back to service. Seems to be hardware related...
Tought it would be a hardware problem... still 2,5 months to go in Thailand before I can turn it back...
Thans anyways!
Dead pixels?
About problems in this phone..
Did anyone note dead pixel on the screen? I read about a lot of users that have this problem...
Hi XDA,
My xperia M accidentally fell into water last week, as a precautionary measure I removed the battery and left it as it is till evening and in the night when I put the battery again in its place, it started working fine. I used it flawlessly for the next 3-4 days until I started getting rebooting issue whenever I plugged in the charger now.
I went to the service center and first they updated the software and said its working fine now but again when I plugged in the charger I ran into the same issue.
Now the battery is getting drained very soon and charging it for hours too doesn't help.
Rebooting problem is still there, sometimes instant reboot, sometimes within minutes.
The guys at the service center are saying that the motherboard needs to be replaced.
I would like the Senior members to suggest me whether should I go for a motherboard replacement or is thr any other way to get this fixed.
Plz Help.
Problem 1:
Hello,i'm having a smsung galaxy s7 since last year in may,and recently i have these problems where i surf the internet or play some games or just chilling on facebook, and suddenly on the screen, i see a pixel bar with small green colour(sometimes pink) and my phone goes dead... not responding at all,and i'm forceresetting it... this problem happenes sometimes everyday,or sometimes once at 2,3 days

Please i could need any help as possible,Thank you for your time!
Sounds like a hardware issue. Did you try bringing it to a repair shop?
not yet but i will as soon as i have some time... untill then what can i do so that the problem won't persist anymore?

Click to collapse
If you could fix it yourself you wouldn't need a repair shop, right?
of course *laughing* but is there something i can do? factory reset doesn't work (tried multiple times, from settings and cwm, clear dalvik and everything, same thing,i had this problem from the previous android version 6.0...
Update: phone started yesterday, everything is okay untill now... no freeze... untill next time
The same exact thing happened with me back in the days with s4 it was a motherboard problem,Got it replaced and there was no problem ever since.
uhm... it isn't the motherboard... it's something update related... got the new update, phone works perfect
I have one that was dropped. The front and display are whole but back are cracked. It often loose internet connection and frooze and restarts. What can the fault be?
this seems like a hardware problem. take it into service
I guess it's not the smartest thing to do a factory reset when the phone can restart?
It's restarts almost every time when it has turned on. Can it be the battery that has gone out of concact? I guess the backside can be removed with a little heat?
It works in safe mode but restarts in normal mode. What can the problem be?
Hi all,
I recently bought Moto Edge 30 device and after a month of usage, I have this issue - The apps started crashing randomly and the screen gets frozen and restarts. Sometimes it gets stuck in the boot loop until I go to recovery mode and reboot the device again. What could cause this issue?
I got it checked in a service center and it was mentioned the charging port has liquid damage hence it's causing some issues with the motherboard and hence the restart problem. The charging and turbocharging in the device work fine and even it connects to the PC and works fine. Is there any truth to what I have been told?
If anyone has encountered a similar issue, let me know if there's anything I could do to fix this.
i had something similar, in my case my edge 30 would randomly shutdown, and id know because when I pressed the power button it would start booting.
the service center identified it as a motherboard defect and replaced it. it's working fine now.
