Hey!
My phone suddenly stopped working. Nothing happens from holding or pressing any combination of the buttons. Charging or connecting to PC has no effect (PC cannoct detect the phone). The phone is rooted, but still has the stock rom (L04 variant, but cannot remember which version of EMUI is on). So is there anything I can do now other than take it to warranty repair?

Okay i was trying to force update the latest 8107 update on my mozart and suddenly my computer went dead, and now my phone is bricked i guess, tried pulling out battery, tried hard resetting but it always goes back to the "Plug in to computer(when its installing updates picture).
Anyone else know what i can do now?

I haven't bricked mine but check these instructions... (Also confirm if this fixes for others)

Connect your WP7 handset to a power source – NOT YOUR COMPUTER.
Turn the phone off.
Now turn the phone back on by pressing and holding the power, camera and volume up/down rocker and KEEP HOLDING even when you are asked if you want to format the SD card.
Release the three buttons once you see the phone enter ‘download mode’.
Now your phone will re-download and install the OS over the air. Leave the phone and if after 15 minutes it hasn’t restarted on its own, force a restart.
Set up your phone as if it was new, re-sync and re-update.

Tried it but it doesnt work for me, whenever i off the phone, it restarts back automatically... and if i connect it to a power supply, it restarts automatically too, giving me no time to press the 3 buttons.
Cant even go back to factory settings right now, it just goes back to the "Plug in to computer" picture....
wonder will this void my warranty if i send it back to HTC.
The title is pretty self explanatory. Noticed when i woke up that neither the power, volume or the camera buttons work. They still clicked when pushed but no function beyond that. The phone its self still worked before i pressed the yellow reset button next to the sim card slot. when i pressed the yellow reset button the phone vibrated and turned off, never to come back on. When i plug it into a charger it still has the LED light except its off so i cant just press the power button to turn it back on. When plugged into the computer, then computer recognises that a device has been plugged in (makes the dun-duh! sound) but the phone is not recognised by either the PC companion or Sony EMMA. Same deal with pulling it into a mac. The Sony mac companion program pops up automatically , it says it does not have any device connected, despite it popping up when i plug my phone in...Ive put adb on my computer and tried adb reboot but again it does not recognise the phone while its off. Is there anything i can do to fix this phone or at least turn it back on? I've spent enough on getting this phone prepared as it is so a DIY fix would be great.any help at all would be much appreciated, thanks
I too am having issues while restarting my z3 after switching power key does not works.
It boots only when I connect it too my pc (still dead) and then press the yellow button(try the yellow button before connecting the pc too),but all the hardware keys works perfectly except the power which is just functinal.

No luck unfortunately. When i plug it into the computer the Sony logo pops up and goes to the charging screen. When i press the yellow button just after plugging it in it just restarts and does the same thing. Thanks anyway
That's exactly what happened to my phone last time,managed to get it started after some random trials ( it started using the normal power key after removing it from pc & letting it rest for some time)
Keep me posted if u manage to solve it.

Will do, I've gotten in contact with the sellers and they are happy to inspect the phone for warranty claims to see if I've done anything to it to trigger the breakage, so ill be sending it off tomorrow . You may not be able to answer this but i might as well ask, I got a whole screen replacement for the phone a few months ago as i had dropped it and the screen had smashed etc. The screen replacement all went well. Do you think the re sellers will know/care that the screen has been replaced? Will it impact upon my warranty claim? I don't plan on telling them I've gotten the screen replaced but I'm just worried they'll find out and say my warranty has been voided.
I replaced my phone's speaker from 3rd party,right after that I am having problem to restart the device.
I think Your warranty is probably gone.
Try to flash Ftf file,i didn't cause I don't wanna loose my root.(changing between roms help a bit)
when you open the phone and remove the battery, you can see like some flat wires. those connect all your buttons, screen, loudspeaker and other things to the motherboard. I'd say that the problem is in this flat wires if the buttons do not work. It can be changed but don't try it if you do not have some practical skill since the z3 is not really an easy phone to repair, it's all glued >.<

hey guys i jst installed the stock nougat firmware and after that i jst removed the unlocked bootloader and changed it to a google symbol and after that when i started the phone i had an update so while phone was updating the software is it all went blank and since then i tried to solve this problem
i tried this things:
1: 6 hours on charging(the only thing is happening is that led light is blinking (but fun fact when i remove the charger the light keeps blinking))
2: i cant get to bootloader the phone led just keeps blinking
3: when i connect the phone to pc and just keep pressing the power button the pc makes sound of connecting and disconnecting a device so i cant figure out whether it is on or bootloader or enything else
4: after 6 hours of charging if i kept the power button holding nothing happens(also tried the down volume button and power button for almost 10 mins each)
Hi there i have this Xperia Z5 Sov32 from January 2019 it was working fine until few days ago the battrey got low at 0% and i plugged it into wall charger after few minutes it have gone upto 17% i pressed the power button to turn the phone on but it gave me a gray screen, before i pressed the power button the charging green bars can be seen, but after i pressed the power button the screen goes grey and no xperia logo screen, then i tried to reset it, by pressing power button + volume up but no use, then tried power + volume down but not working no recovery mode, then i tried power + volume up and volume down, but nothing then i tried the little yellow button near the sim card slot for few seconds, it gave me 3 vibrates but nothing happens after it same gray screen when i try to turn the phone on. then i tried yellow button for 120 seconds, but same gray screen and consistent restarts automatically after few seconds of gray screen, then i tried xperia companion but it is giving me error that my phone is locked, well i cannot unlock the phone if it is not turning on. then i tried sony's orignal flashing tool Emma but that gave me same error phone is locked. then i tried to unlock bootloader with flash tool but no use gave some error which i cannot remember now. then i tried to flash the phone with like 8 different ftf stock files some old some new. but flash tools tells me it have flashed the phone but when i try to turn it on it is giving me same gray screen and restarts every 20 / 30 seconds. and i even tried the Sov32 ftf file downloaded from xperifirm but that gave me error that this bundle is not suitable for your device. all other generic and international versions gave no error and shows successfully flashed. but phone gave same gray screen when i turn it on. and after flashing i tried sony companion and Emma both shows my phone is still locked and not flashed, showing me same old firmware version LOL i dont know what else to do anymore since i have tried every possible trick to fix this damn device. this phone have changed my view of thinking, i have always thought sony is better then all others because i only used sony and motorola all my life. and from past 7 years i have using sony. but if i have to change my phone then i will never buy sony phone again. lost my 3 days on it, trying to fix it. previously i have xperia z and xperia mini pro they were better phones. i still have them. and they are still working. i even flashed xperia mini pro many times no issue. so what should i do now is there any other method left which i have not tried yet ? and btw please dont refer me to use carbon rom or any other rom because this goddam phone is not turning on and not charging. it restarts every few seconds while on charging. so i cannot copy some files into the phone.
The device 703L does not turn on, it is charged via usb. The PC does not see it. There is no physical button + sound. As it turned out, the firmware was KangVIP B212v4 and for some reason EVERYTHING was removed from the recovery (all checkboxes were checked). Are there any considerations in this case?
Maybe the battery is dead and needs to be replaced. I have an old Mate 9 that I use as a loaner when I fix someone's phone. All of a sudden it just didn't turn on. I replaced the battery and it works fine now.
