took a job fixing my friend's surface 2. it starts with the surface logo and then straight to recovery but gets on error and light blue screen (error code 0xc000000e). I downloaded a recovery image to try and boot from usb and try to go into bios to change boot order but I get a black screen till it restarts itself. Did the power + volume down and get another error (0xc000225). from what I can tell it's a bios error (\efi\microsoft\boot\bcd). Is there anything I can do to repair or rebuild bcd?

Guys, I need help on my Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 2 4G. I had tried to do a factory reset but it looked like it got stuck after several minutes. I turned it off and after that, it i stuck on start-up. The Samsung logo would appear, eventually the green android mascot would appear (where it would look like it is rocketing up) the the samsung logo would appear again, then the green android mascot would appear again, and that would loop over and over again. This happens every time I turn on the phone.
Hooking the phone to the PC will try to install driver, (I have installed a lot of drivers) but it will fail and say unidentified device and the phone drive does not come up on the computer so I can not copy any file to the phone or card.
When I try to go into download mode (Power and Volume down combo) and attach Odin, it will recognize the phone but it gets stuck on Setup connection.
When I try to hold Power + Vol up and vol down combo, it will say ramdump mode cause: force upload
When I do manage to get into CWM with Power and Vol up combo, anything I choose (Romwipe, wipe data, etc) will just get stuck on the clockwork logo (hat and wheel like thing).
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me get my phone back to working.

Folks,
Here is the situation. I have a TF700T on Jellybean with the latest update. I unlocked the bootloader with the ASUS unlock tool. I flashed CWM Recovery and I then wanted to try the Crombi Kit-kat based ROM with f2fs and Overclocked Kernel. I used CWM Recovery to flash that ROM. In the Aroma installer for that ROM I chose to partition using f2fs for external and internal storage. The flash went ok and I booted into the ROM. Here is where the trouble began. I got a message from Android saying that it couldnt decrypt my file system or partition and asked if i wanted to restore the device to stock. I hit yes without thinking too much about it and it rebooted into the Android Logo and it is stuck there !!
I can't shut the device down because it restarts immediately into the white ASUS logo, then pauses for a few seconds, screen blinks, white asus logo again and then the Android Green Robot Screen again with a progress meter underneath it.
I tried holding down the Volume down and power for 10 seconds, the tablets reboots and repeats the process.. I never have an opportunity to enter recovery or wipe. I next tried holding the Volume UP button and holding the power button down for 10 seconds. The tablet buzzed and the screen shut off. I am guessing I am in APX mode.. I tried rebooting again by holding power button down and it does restart but goes into the same cycle, Screen with white ASUS Logo, Screen Blink, White Asus Logo and then Android Green Robot Screen again.. It is stuck in the screen and I cant even shut the tablet down Any idea what is going on ?

Thank you !. I let the tablet sit like that for an hour and it got out of the Android Screen and tried booting the bad ROM install at which point I had the opportunity to shut the tablet down. Once I could shut it down, I could start the tablet into recovery and then I flashed the stock rom back from my nandroid backup.. Whew!!

Thanks a lot. It works. :good::good::good:
So here's the thing, I was factory resetting my phone, and I guess it failed. IT's already Android lollipop. My problem is, I can't flash the rom anymore. Coz it's not booting up, stuck at booting animation, or asus logo loading animantion . And no recovery mode, I can't even go to droidboot/fastboot. whenever i try to boot in fastboot/droidboot , it'll turn the screen to black then shut down, and most of the time, when i click vol up+power button, it'll just boot into asus logo and loading screen and stuck there. So any help over there ? i really need to fix my phone right now. Reports are coming . Thank you
Hey so I just tried to edit the logo.jpg file in the PARAM partition on my galaxy s6 .
But I think I used an image that was too large (both in file size and in actual size).
The last command completed without errors so I rebooted my phone and now it just black screens on boot.
I can get the charging icon if it's plugged in while off but if I try to power it on I just get a black screen and , ocasionally (I don't know why) I get a glitched version of the image a flashed.
I cannot access recovery mode or download mode as they are giving me a black screen too.
The phone just stays in the black screen and leaving it does not make it progress to android or anything else.
Is it fixable by any mean or did I brick it for good ?
It should go to download mode if you only change logo.jpg.
Try press volume down + home (press hard) + power for 10 seconds.
If you cant go into download mode, you cant do anything to fix this.
Hey my cell phone suddenly showed me a black screen and he was just lying on the table. It responds to pressing the screen but does not show after booting.
I have already reset the firmware with Odin3, but that did not help either.
The phone was not rooted
I can still get into the download and recovery mode
