6 plus sound quality - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use some mediocre headphones and the sound is suppressed.
Is it worth to invest to some good headphones or the sound chip is not of good quality?
Using the same headphones on other phones the sound was a bit better.

That is the dbrand skin. It's really amazing. You have different designs too. Check their website
One A9
Overall pleased with the results from the camera, it's fast, accurate and excels in low light, esp. ffc...
I'm at Orlando Disney World this week. Definitely, this is the phone you need for vacation. Point and shoot is really amazing and quick when needed. I may post some iPhone pics too for comparison. Honestly this tiny phone made my neck very light, my Nikon slr sits in the car most of the times. Thanks to HTC.
Really impressed. ISO 100, 0.5s exposure, macro mode
I've been impressed with the camera. It had some middling reviews initially, but I've found it very capable, and I've surprisingly come to prefer the HTC camera app over the stock Google camera app.
Here are a few that I've taken: http://imgur.com/a/Dv3EW
The OIS really helps the long exposure times, which in turn makes for great HDR images. The one downside I've found, which you can see in the last photo, is that it has a propensity towards lens flare.

Been using this phone for a month now, load of photos taken here. Tested with iPhone 6 Z5 note 5. Barely beat them all https://flic.kr/p/CiSGfK

One question does the HTC ONE M9s offers the same sensor as the A9??
M9s is supposed to have the same sensor as A9
@imOJ great pics I must say. Care to share what kind of tripod you are using?

Thanks a lot. The tripod used in one of your photos (the one with the M9 and the beach) looks more professional though!

So what settings would you use if you wanted to capture a group of people say in a city at night?
ISO 100 or 200 and shutter speed around 1sec or less depending on the lights around

XZ stereo speakers

Hello,
I am just wondering if there was already any tests for the stereo speakers.
I hope the speakers being used are not the same from X compact as these are getting very negative opinions over Internet as being silent and not producing good quality + providing vibrations
Xperia XZ and iPhone 7 Speaker Test vs Galaxy S7 Edge and HTC 10
mine are more quiet than my 6p but probably due to the water resistant speakers
I played the same youtube video at the same time on the XZ and my Z2 and honestly couldn't tell much difference with the overall volume.
I will say though that a song that sounded particularly odd on my Z2 (Denounced, Disgraced by The Black Dahlia Murder) now sounds decent on the XZ as the stereo balance is actually equal!
Makes sense.
I've had the z1c, z3c, z5c and x performance.
Over say several months you'll notice the speakers get quieter over time.
Hence my XZ similarly sounds crisper but not necessarily louder then my XP and z5c.
I find the speakers not to be quite as loud as on my Z5. Still I find them decent enough.

Many vibrations! Hardly no noise but u feel the back of the phone vibrating like it should be pumping sound out
Useless speakers. Enough said.

I can feel vibrations too. When on full blast back aluminium cover starts to vibrate a little

Xperia XZ speakers output quality, weird sensations...

Dunno if its me, but im having the feeling that the output power of my brand new f8331 is not doing so good, in comparison with my old Z2, this last has a far better volume and sound quality over ext stereo speakers.
My XZ sounds extremely quiet and bodyless IMO.
Hope this is just a software update matter but its worrying me so bad.
Same here... Let's hope it's a software update like the z3
I installed the RomAur 1.1 and the upper speaker is a lot louder as I can tell. Maybe ROM-related or the speakers are bad. The lower speaker is a joke.
Bruh this phone is a joke. My iPhone 6s is louder. The top speaker is louder than the other speaker. How in God's name are two speakers so ****ty. My m7 and m8 have better speakers. Sometimes I don't even hear ringtones.

My xz is on latest firmware, but i can't barely hear the sound from it, its to soft... Any suggestions? I already checked the setting put iton max, but still the sound is so low...
Im using dual sim variant

Best headphones under 30€?

I'm actually thinking about Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD and AKG EO-IG955. I need flat frequency response graphic and solid bass with detailed highs

[Question] Oneplus 6 - the Overall audio quality ?

Hi,
Everyone,
I`ve some quarries about the overall audio quality of OP6 and that`s why I just want to know about the audio quality (through Speaker and 3.5mm jack and obviously BT) - the overall audio quality of this excellent device.
Any improvement after the latest update?
Any experience/feedback/suggestion is highly appreciable.
IMHO without any sound mod like Viper4Android sound on OP6 is terrible as hell [emoji22]

Sound is terrible. I would recommend a Bluetooth dac, like the $99 earstudio.
You can actually get some pretty decent sound if your unlocked with Magisk using a combination of the "Viper FX" and the "Air Sauron" DSP modules. (You will need to install the "Audio Modification Library" module as well, as it is required for multiple DSPs to work simultaneously.) There are a couple of different threads in this forum where folks have shared their configs for the two.
Obviously no audio mod(s) will ever improve the sound as much as a good external DAC &/or amp will, but after tweaking the two aforementioned mods, the sound quality I get with my Sennheiser HD598s is just as good as what I've gotten with the stock DAC from any of my previous phones. Outside of the flagships by LG and Sony, the OP6's hardware DAC is at least as capable as most of the competition, if not more so. It only sounds terrible because the DSP is ****. (Dirac should be ashamed of themselves IMHO.). Even the sound quality I get with my external DAC (cEnterace DACPort v1) has noticeably improved after flashing the DSP mods.

Thanks for sharing the info. Excellent :good:.
That means if I install these audio mods, then only I can get a decent(excellent?) audio - right?
Now a straight question - should I go with OP6 Or Sammy`s S9 Plus?
I`m actually asking for OP6 because of it`s price - really excellent. :good:

I doubt the S9 has a better DAC than the OP6, although it may sound better stock due to its ' DSP. The Snapdragon version of the S9 has a locked bootloader, which means no custom DSP mods. Even though the S9 will probably sound better out of the box than the OP6, an OP6 with Viper FX and Air Sauron would be much better. Now if you live in a market that utilizes the Exynos variant of the S9, which can be unlocked and modded, I imagine the two will sound pretty similar when running the same modded DSPs. If you are looking for the phone with the best builtin hardware DAC and overtake sound quality, you'll want to go with LG. The Quad-DAC that LG uses in their flagships is the best audio hardware that you can get in a phone at this point in time. It also has a built in adjustable amp for each channel that can used with high impedance headphones. Sadly they're bootloader locked in the US, however no custom DSP mod is going to make an OP6 or a S9 sound as good as a v35S, at least not without external hardware.
I agree with @TuxRuffian. If you want really good sound straight or of the box you should buy LG (was going to do the same, but OP6 was MUCH cheaper). LG V30 can be rooted though, but I don't think it needs to be modded for better sound [emoji848] @TuxRuffian could you share your V4A profile along with Sauron config?

Excellent :good:
Perhaps you know that recent sammy`s flagships have some issues with rooting and modding (functionality of Knox, Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, Samsung Health will be gone and most important - camera portrait mode (i.e. secondary lens becomes unusable). And the battery backup of the exynos version of S9+ is really an issue (as I`ve read). But I think there are no such issues with OP6 - right? So I can install these audio mods easily in OP6 and get better sound - right?
And the price of OP6 is also a very important thing (at least to me ).
BTW, as a user of OP6, what`ll be your overall feedback - should I go with this one?
Thank you once again for sharing.
I've switched from Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and I do not regret not a single day. The only thing I miss sometimes is the SPen but I'll get used to lack of it [emoji6] OP6 is a beast- I would say go for it [emoji847]

I am using oneplus 6 for more than 2 weeks now, coming from S9+ exynos . Comparing out of the box, S9+ has way better audio quality in terms of headphone or loudspeaker. Not that i really care about the headphone cause i rarely listen to music or video using headphone/earphone. But the phone speaker in oneplus6 is terrible that it makes me miss my s9+ alot.
Off topic, here are my "what's better on this than that" that affects me
S9+ exynos
- better camera
- better speaker (dual speaker, dolby atmos - very loud and clear)
- beautiful curved display with no notch
- expandable microsd slot
Oneplus 6
- better software (blazing fast, hands down)
- easy and fun to tweak
- much better battery life (although s9+ has bigger battery)
- super fast charging
On a side note, wireless charging doesnt really bother me coz i never use it. The main reason i went for oneplus6 is the SD845 + software. So if u really just want good speakers just go for s9+. If u just want a good audio quality through the audio jack, u can still achieve that with viper and sauron mod on oneplus 6.
Hope my opinion helps!
