Is there any way to update/flash the fastboot.img ? I have L12 with unlocked boot. Trying to flash the image under adb/fastboot fails. The 3 buttons way still doesn`t update that partition.

I tried to install latest Cyanogenmod (cm-11-20140430-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip) but get a loop any time I restart the phone so I restart my phone in "fasboot" mode and then press "Factory" this deleted all the content of the internal SD card including the .zip and now I can't flash it. I have a few questions regarding this topic:
How do I copy ROM files trough fastboot mode?
Why I get this loop if I follow the common steps: wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache?
Any help?
I too got bootloop on my XT1033 of the dame version of the CM11 please help me too.

That happened to me as well, what I did was to flash a complete stock JB 4.3 firmware (the Retail Taiwan works great for most Asian variants), updated via OTA and then attempted to flash CM11 which worked.
No need of downgrading at all.. Download stock firmware and install it via Fastboot...

Where I download the stock firmware and how I install via Fastboot? I tried to push any file to /sdcard/ trough adb but this doesn't recognize my device, fastboot does, any advice? I'm stuck since I hit "Factory" option in fastboot mode and it erases all the content of /sdcard/ and now I can't flash nothing

I think the same as yours, XT1032 Google Play Edition, I have downloaded "GPE_XT1032_KOT49H.M004_CFC.xml.zip" from here but I get this error while trying to start the process:

mfastboot.exe - System Error

The program can't start because AdbWinApi.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

This process is important? I was deleting SuperSU and in says that if I delete SuperSU I will delete this file too...
If you're unrooting, you don't need to keep it.
Ok, thanks.
There is a way to see if there is any modifications to the system's file?

There's an OTA checker flashable zip in general I think.
No, not in the ota, I say in general, if I want just to control of there is any modifications without flash anything

There is only one way. By flash the OTA checker zip in custom recovery. It can be found in the general forum I believe.

Ok, so I have to flash this with flashify (rooted with towelroot)
After the flash I'll have to unroot the phone and just install Lollipop with the ota?

Flash what with Flashify?
I think the best bet for you is to read the thread about root / update in my signature. OTA is proving too troublesome. I can't hand hold you through the whole process.
I mean the zip checker

I already told you.
Ok, I've read your thread about how to upgrade to Lollipop the Nexus.
The fact is that my main pc have no working USB ports, so if I want to unlock the bootloader and stuff like this I have to use my second pc, and it is very slow (the last time to just fastboot a factory image it tooks me one hour of suffering).
I think that the method 2b is the one that is closest to my situation:
1. Unlock bootloader if necessary (This wipes data)
2. Accept OTA update
3. Fastboot flash a custom recovery image (of your choice)
4. Fastboot flash a custom boot.img (@Chainfire for basic root, @sykopompos for full permissive mode)
5. Flash from recovery, SuperSU

I don't want root, so:
2. Accept OTA update

If I have understood, the only thing that I have to do is use flashify to flash the OTA checker zip. file and than proceed with the OTA, right?
If there is another way to do this without use the PC, it will be great, but I don't know.
Is what I said right or I forgot something?
Thank you with your help anyway!

This is what you mean?
If yes, I can't flash with a custom recovery because I have the stock recovery (because I'm rooted with only Towelroot, so stock recovery and locked bootloader)

Then you can't use it! Wait for the OTA and install it.
I already have the OTA, but I think that there could be some issues, this is why I want to check if everything it's good, I don't want to brick/bootloop the device

Use 2.8.1.0
Fastboot.
Fastboot with a PC, flashify directly on device, zip file in recovery, terminal emulator+IMG file...pick one.
#stayparanoid
You can also use the TWRP app from the Play Store, which is probably the easiest way.
So how can i flash my updated version? I downloaded the version on my phone its in my downloads. I boot into recovery go to flash and it does not recognize the img.

You need a zip file to flash in recovery. Use the flahify app if you want to flash the.img file or flash it in fastboot

So I had my phone rooted, with TWRP recovery, and today I've received a notification for 5.1 update, and when I pressed Install and reboot, it rebooted directly into TWRP, so I can't update it (or didn't find a way). Is there any way to update it now without wiping data?
There's a whole thread on the ota process in the general forum. You should read it. The ota will not work with a custom recovery. You need the stock recovery which you can install using fastboot. There are other requirements too. You have to be 100% stock system, kernel and recovery.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Just flash the ota zip via twrp you will loose all root and your system modifiactions which are reversible!
