Ok, i've flashed the 2.3.4. I the next days will try the behaviours.
Any news? have you tried?
The battery charging so slow. It may take more then 4 hour for full charging. Can this problem solved after flash to 2.3.4?
With the new rom 2.3.4 flashed, the battery consume seems to be much linear than before, moreover maybe i've find the solution in the usb cable used in the car: a quick test by using the original usb cable with gps and data connection active has incremented the battery charge by 1% in a 10 km path.
Maybe the original cable has some special terminals configuration?
More extensive tests in next days.
Any improvement of charging time required after flash with 2.3.4 rom?

I know this problem from my HTC Desire, it's was the same and the reason was that a orig. charching cable from HTC had a special pin which says the phone to charge like ac with full power and not only usb power! You can check this in the menü. There is an entry for charching which says "AC" or "USB" charching. If it shows "USB" it goes very slow! But i don't know that there is a special charching cable for car charching from samsung available too.
Where is the menu entry that shows if is charging USB or AC?
Thanks
Hi,
You will find it there:
Settings -> (telephone) Status -> Battery Status
There it says charging AC or USB
With AC it charges with full power, with USB it charges with 500mAh only -- which is not enough power for GPS and Screen on.
(At least it's like that with HTC devices)
I have a HTC Legend -- my solution to this problem was to short-circuit the Data pins in the Micro-USB-Port of the Car-Charger.
The Original HTC-AC->USB Adapter also has the Data-Pins Short circuited.
If you buy the HTC Car-charger you will geht a special USB-Cable that only works for Charging and not for Data transfer.
So HTC Devices recognize the Original charges by detecting the short-circuited Data pins.
I don't know if it's the same with Samsung devices!
I hope it helped you a bit!
Any link on how to connect the circuited Data pins?
Yes, probably a connection scheme would be useful.
I bought today a car adapter with 1000 mah Power and micro usb port. It charges with "AC" shown in the system
It was very cheap only 10,- EUR from Germany Company "Hama" a great hardware
Yesterday i've tried with another cheap charger, and AC charge is here, by using the same cable of 2100 mAh charger.
So my conclusion is that the trick is in the charger port, not in the cable.
By searching on google, seems that the two central pins need to be short-circuited...
Hello everyone, I hope my English is understandable.
To avoid damaging the cable, I have modded the charger.
Generally the chargers are very simple to dismount: simply unscrew the ring that holds the spring and the fuse and remove a couple of screws.
Usually the data pins are soldered on the circuit board only for mechanical reasons (increase the endurance of the connector), but they are connected to nothing. Short-circuit the data pins with a solder, directly on the circuit board.
Now i see AC charge.
My old Toshiba TG01 required the same trick.

Good! I will try myself.
Anyone try this modification? Can it work?

Well my TF101 stopped working and i realized that battery was gone, no any voltage on red and black pins.
After changing battery (e-bay ordered) TF got powered only with charger connected and goes off if i remove charger, but it does NOT charging at all.
Not powering, charging and detecting on PC USB port too.
what i have done?
1. checked lines on cable - all OK
2. Checked wall charger - working - gives 15V to the socket inside TF (even checked for 15v inside TF , there is a flex cable and it is working). It gives 15V to the main board - but not charging
3. Freezed wall charger - no charging yet.
4. There is 7,4v on battery red and black pins (have to be more if charger working)
5. can not find schematics for TF101
could be battery defective? i think no, there is 13% showing in battery stats.
Could some experienced service technician in ASUS give me some advice.
At least yours shows up something .. I'll have to check my black and red ... I can't get it to charge at all ( I think it's fully dead ).
At this point RMA it if you can, as there isn't an easy way to diagnose the problem.

Thank you for reply.
Unfortunately there is no service in my country.
In fact i am technician and i need schematic for TF101.
Could someone sent or upload it?

Try another charger. Quite a few people seem to be complaining about the OEM Sammy chargers going kaput. Also could be a cable problem (broken wires) - I had a similar problem with my wife's tablet, fixed by replacing a cable.

Before buying a new charger, I would suggest confirming the exact problem first. You may be able to borrow a charger from someone (any USB charger with approx 2 Amp output will work, for example, from an iPad), or a cable. See what fixes the issue, and get a replacement. Also, if you have some average soldering skills, the cable can fairly easily be fixed at home (in case it is a faulty cable) - the wires usually break at the connector, and the OEM Sammy 30-pin connector is snap-assembled, not glued, so you can take it apart and put it back togethet. Good luck!

hi, I'm dealding with an S6 G920F with charging problem ( Charging paused. Battery temperature too low)
I looked around but i didn't found any real fix, some says it's the battery , some the usb flat, some the mobo.
Now, does anybody know where the battery thermal sensor is located? on the charging board like old S4 or it's on the battery circuit?
thanks
it is on charging port

Even a damaged charging port jack can cause this too, just an FYI.
Hi all, i have a problem with my s6. I repaired my s6 usb port and changed it with a new one. But still my phone charges at 250mah instead of 2000 and my pc wont recognise it, any suggestions?
A kind of "script-type" solution, but have you tried different USB cable? I suggest you buy a proper one, like 28/24 gauge USB cable.
These are a bit more expensive, but charge very well. Much better quality and charge faster.
Already changed ton of cables and usb ports, still the same problem

I think your charging ic on logic board needs replacing. Only micro solderer people can replace that. Might not be worth for you.
i ve lent it on a samsung repairer guy. they changed battery, connector and installed a new os. now they said they should give me it tonight or tomorrow.. let s see if it works

The way I read that you're expecting to get rapid charge from pc ports. Need a rapid charger for rapid charging.

Same issue here. Think its related to a charging chip
Hi,
I've got the exactly same problem here. Repacinfg battery and the USB port of the phone did not solve the problem. Did your repairing work out? Any more ideas?

Hello all :
I have exactly the same problem that you all I have 250 to 300ma really charge, that it is any charger of 0.5 amps 3.1 amps either with a quick charger from Samsung or quick charge 2.0 or other, any cable too, and any rom, tested Global, Lineage and stock.
Oooo, and i tested with a custom charger, 9v 2amps, nothing change !!! 0.250amps and 5hours to 50% -> 100%....
Is really strange problem.
Any Idea ? is possible to limitation software ???

Yes is possible, but here i dont know.. beacause, it would have quite different effects depending on the chargers and on the voltage. here we have, in my case, the same problem regardless of the charger amps or voltage.
this is more like a software crash of the chips in the worst case.
Other hand I noticed that I had lost all utilities USB my phone example when I plug it on my computer it is absolutely not recognized... Any Idea for that ???
Thanks

Need help.
In software, how or where is manageme the charge ? In the kernel ?
Is strange, the charge is blocking at 250ma...
